A ENFERMAGEM NO CONTEXTO DA ASSISTÊNCIA À SEXUALIDADE DA PESSOA IDOSA: REVISÃO INTEGRATIVA

Although elderly people's sexuality is considered a taboo, even though it is normal to have an active sexual life in old age, it is still not treated naturally due to the lack of actions that can promote awareness of the use of contraceptive methods. The present research aimed to analyze, through a literature review, the role of nurses regarding assistance to elderly people's sexuality. Thus, the method used corresponded to an integrative review in the following databases: Scielo; PubMed and Lilacs, using the period from 2019 to August 2023. The results showed that nursing is essential to carry out guidance actions in favor of the well-being of the elderly, and with this, it is essential to also relate to local mapping, the in order to understand the reality of the elderly, checking whether there is a major problem of factors associated with STIs in this population, as, through this, it will be essential to play an effective role in valuing this comprehensive care issue, seeking to prevent the elderly from STIs and do the necessary care for existing cases. The research concluded that nursing assistance in the process of promotion and guidance on prevention and other information linked to the sexuality of elderly people is essential to avoid future problems.A sexualidade da pessoa idosa ainda que seja denominada como um tabu, mesmo sendo normal obter uma vida sexual ativa na terceira idade, ainda não é tratado com naturalidade devido à falta de ações que possam promover conscientização do uso de métodos contraceptivos. A presente pesquisa objetivou analisar através de uma revisão de literatura, a atuação do enfermeiro acerca da assistência à sexualidade do idoso. Assim, o método utilizado correspondeu a revisão integrativa nas bases de dados: Scielo; PubMed e Lilacs, utilizando o recorte de 2019 a agosto de 2023. Os resultados apontaram que a enfermagem é essencial para realizar ações de orientações em prol do bem-estar dos idosos, e com isso, é imprescindível relacionar também acerca de mapeamento local, a fim de conhecer a realidade dos idosos, verificando se existe uma grande problemática de fatores associados a IST's nesse público, pois, através disso, será essencial realizar um papel efetivo de valorizar essa temática assistencial integral, buscando prevenir os idosos das IST's e fazer os devidos cuidados aos casos existentes. A pesquisa concluiu que, assistência de enfermagem no processo de promoção e orientação acerca da prevenção e demais informações ligadas a sexualidade da pessoa idosa, é essencial para evitar problemáticas futuras

Older people's knowledge often a living centers of the third age about HIV/AIDS

Objective: To assess the knowledge of elderly participants in the Living Center for Senior Citizens on HIV / AIDS. Method: An exploratory and descriptive study with a qualitative approach, conducted through interviews with 17 elderly participants in the Living Center for Senior Citizens in Teresina-PI. The data analysis allowed us to establish three categories: knowledge of elderly HIV / AIDS; methods used by the elderly in the prevention of HIV / AIDS and health education in the prevention of HIV / AIDS. Results: The elderly hold little knowledge about HIV / AIDS, with an emphasis on prevention, transmission and susceptibility of contracting HIV at any stage of life. Few subjects reported on the use of an adequate method of prevention. Conclusion: We emphasize the importance of Health Education as a strategy to improve the knowledge of the elderly population about important aspects of HIV / AIDS, mainly with regard to the myths related to the mode of transmission

Incidence of complications of hypertension in patients in tertiary hospital

Objective: To assess the incidence of complications of arterial hypertension in patients admitted to a tertiary hospital. The type of study is retrospective and quantitative. Method: The study was conducted in a tertiary hospital, SUSrelated, reference North-Northeast in Cardiopulmonary Diseases.The sample was composed of medical records of patients with hypertension who developed complications of hypertension. Results: In this study, 300(94,33%) had cardiovascular, cerebrovascular complications in 14 (4,40%) and renal disease with 11 (3,45%), finally, peripheral vessels ( 0,62% ). Conclusion: The study allowed us to observe that despite the great efforts early detection of Hypertension as well as treatment adherence and improved quality of life, it is still necessary to assign more incentives to Primary Health Care in order to prevent even the early hypertension and the possible consequences of this complication

Breastfeeding the newborn premature in kangaroo method: perceptions about postpartum nursing care

Objective: This study aimed to evaluate and analyze the perceptions of postpartum women about nursing care to promote breastfeeding the preterm infant in kangaroo care. Method: This is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach, performed with 19 postpartum women. The study setting was the Dona Evangelina Rose Maternity (MDER) located in the southern zone of the Teresina city, PI, specifically in the wards of accommodation special set which are mothers and newborns (NB) preterm and low birth weight, wards of Kangaroo. The data collection instrument was a semi-structured interview. Results: Grouped into three categories. Conclusion: The study shows that the perception of most women, the care received by nursing staff are commensurate with your role is to take care, guidance and understanding

Elderly health: professional training and performance in primary health care

To identify the influences of the professional training process for action in the Family Health Strategy (FHS) related to the health of the elderly man. Exploratory descriptive research, carried out with 20 professionals, from a Brazilian Northeast municipality from October to December 2014. The data collection was performed through a questionnaire, following the statements were processed in the software IRaMuTeQ, analyzed by the Descending Hierarchical Classification. Three classes emerged: Influences of the professional training process on elderly health care; Health care for the elderly; Actions developed in the family health strategy in the implementation of the national policy of comprehensive health care for the elderly. The findings suggest improved knowledge, lack of resources and medical specialties, evidenced the complexity of the actions developed by health professionals

Nursing care for mother-to-child transmission of HIV

Objective: To evaluate, through the literature, the relevance of neonatal care, through professional training in qualified and humanized care, with a view to reducing child mortality. Method: An integrative review of the international scientific literature was carried out, in order to answer the following question: "How does neonatal care, through professional training, have the most qualified and humanized assistance in order to reduce infant mortality?" Eight articles were analyzed, which gave rise to three categories: Assistance aimed at HIV + pregnant women; Alternative breastfeeding and The role of Nursing in the prevention of mother-to-child transmission in the puerperal gravid cycle. Conclusion: Structural actions of promotion and prevention are important measures of health education in the reduction of infant mortality, with nursing having a important role in guaranteeing them

Objetivo: Conhecer e analisar as percepções de puerpéras sobre o cuidado de enfermagem para a promoção da amamentação ao recém-nascido prematuro no método canguru. Métodos: Estudo descritivo, com abordagem qualitativa, realizado por meio de entrevista com 19 puérperas, em uma maternidade pública de referência, em Teresina-PI. Os dados foram analisados sequencialmente: pré-análise, exploração do material, tratamento dos resultados e interpretação. Resultados: A partir da análise das entrevistas, foi possível estabelecer três categorias: A percepção das puérperas sobre o cuidado de enfermagem com o aleitamento materno no Método Canguru; A experiência pessoal das puérperas com o aleitamento materno no Método Canguru; e, A percepção das puérperas sobre o papel da enfermagem na promoção do aleitamento materno no Método Canguru. Conclusão: A percepção das puérperas sobre os cuidados recebidos pela enfermagem condiz com o seu papel que é o de cuidar, orientar e compreender

Nursing Care In The Hemodialysis Room: Integrative Review

Objectives: To identify in the literature the nursing care in the hemodialysis room, as well as to evaluate the patient needs in the hemodialysis treatment. Method: Bibliographic study of descriptive origin with exploratory investigation. The search was carried out at the bases: Scielo, Bireme and Google academic, from 2010 to 2016, using the descriptors: nursing, care, hemodialysis. Results: Forty-eight articles were found and the final sample comprised 16. It was noticed that the nursing care in the hemodialysis room is very important for the safety and protection of the patients, who during the session should be observed, due to the risks that it offers. It is understood that the patient's need in hemodialytic treatment is to undergo various restrictions and be accompanied by a multidisciplinary team always aiming at the comfort and safety of the patient. Conclusion: Therefore the changes that exist in the life of the chronic renal patient are several, such as fear of death, feel excluded from living with friends, gain weight because the body can not excrete toxins and liquids, and are indefinitely imprisoned to the dialysis machine
