INTRODUCTION: CME providers may be interested in identifying effective marketing strategies to direct users to specific content. Online advertisements for recruiting participants into activities such as clinical trials, public health programs, and continuing medical education (CME) have been effective in some but not all studies. The purpose of this study was to compare the impact of 2 marketing strategies in the context of an online CME cultural competence curriculum (www.c-comp.org). METHODS: In an interrupted time-series quasi-experimental design, 2 marketing strategies were tested: (1) wide dissemination to relevant organizations over a period of approximately 4 months, and (2) Internet paid search using Google Ads (5 consecutive 8-week periods--control 1, cultural/CME advertisement, control 2, hypertension/ content advertisement, control 3). Outcome measures were CME credit requests, Web traffic (visits per day, page views, pages viewed per visit), and cost. RESULTS: Overall, the site was visited 19,156 times and 78,160 pages were viewed. During the wide dissemination phase, the proportion of visits requesting CME credit decreased between the first (5.3%) and second (3.3%) halves of this phase (p = .04). During the Internet paid search phase, the proportion of visits requesting CME credit was highest during the cultural/CME advertisement period (control 1, 1.4%; cultural/CME ad, 4.3%; control 2, 1.5%; hypertension/content ad, 0.6%; control 3, 0.8%; p \u3c .001). All measures of Web traffic changed during the Internet paid search phase (p \u3c .01); however, changes were independent of the advertisement periods. The incremental cost for the cultural advertisement per CME credit requested was US 0.64.DISCUSSION:InternetadvertisementfocusingonculturalcompetenceandCMEwasassociatedwithaboutathreefoldincreaseinrequestsforCMEcreditatanincrementalcostofunderUS0.64. DISCUSSION: Internet advertisement focusing on cultural competence and CME was associated with about a threefold increase in requests for CME credit at an incremental cost of under US 1; however, Web traffic changes were independent of the advertisement strategy. Abstract: Solid–liquid nanocarriers (SLNs) are at the front of the rapidly emerging field of medicinal applications with a potential role in the delivery of bioactive agents. Here, we report a new SLN of natural deep eutectic solvent (NADES) and biotin-conjugated lysine–polyethylene glycol copolymer. The SLN system was analyzed for its functional groups, thermal stability, crystalline nature, particle size, and surface morphology through the instrumental analysis of FT-IR, TGA, XRD, DLS, SEM, and TEM. Encapsulation of PTX (paclitaxel) and 7-HC (7-hydroxycoumarin) with the SLN was carried out by dialysis, and UV-visible spectra evidenced the drug loading capacity and higher encapsulation efficiency obtained. The enhanced anticancer potential of PTX- and 7-HC-loaded SLN was assessed in vitro, and the system reduces the cell viability of MDA-MB-231 cells. The PTX- and 7-HC-loaded SLN system was investigated in a breast cancer-induced rat model via in vivo studies. It shows decreased lysosomal enzymes and increased levels of caspase to cure breast tumors. It very well may be reasoned that the designed PTXand 7-HC-loaded SLN system has strong anticancer properties and exhibits potential for delivery of drug molecules in cancer treatment

Improper disposal of pharmaceutical drugs, including antibiotics, can affect the ecological system and generate serious health problems for living organisms. In this work, we have developed an electrochemical sensor based on a strontium manganese oxide/functionalized hexagonal boron nitride (SrMnO3/f-BN) electrocatalyst for the detection of the antibiotic drug furaltadone (FLD). Various analytical techniques were used to characterize the physicochemical properties of the as-prepared SrMnO3/f-BN composite. The as-fabricated SrMnO3/f-BN composite electrode showed excellent sensing activity towards FLD, with a wide linear range (0.01–152.11 µM) and low detection limit (2.0 nM). The sensor exhibited good selectivity towards FLD for detection in the presence of various interfering species (nitro compounds, metal ions, and biological compounds). Interestingly, real-time analysis using the proposed SrMnO3/f-BN composite was able to determine the FLD content in human urine and wastewater samples with good recovery. Hence, the as-developed SrMnO3/f-BN modified sensor could be viable in practical applications to target the antibiotic drug FLD in both human fluids and environmental samples

We report an electrodeposited poly(pyrrole-co-pyrrolepropylic acid) copolymer modified electroactive graphene-carbon nanotubes composite deposited on a glassy carbon electrode to detect the protein antigen (cTnI). The copolymer provides pendant carboxyl groups for the site-specific covalent immobilization of protein antibody, anti-troponin I. The hybrid nanocomposite was used as a transducer for biointerfacial impedance sensing for cTnI detection. The results show that the hybrid exhibits a pseudo capacitive behaviour with a maximum phase angle of 49 degrees near 1 Hz, which is due to the inhomogeneous and porous structure of the hybrid composition. The constant phase element of copolymer is 0.61 (n = 0.61), whereas, it is 0.88 (n = 0.88) for the hybrid composites, indicating a comparatively homogeneous microstructure after biomolecular functionalization. The transducer shows a linear change in charge transfer characteristic (R-et) on cTnI immunoreaction for spiked human serum in the concentration range of 1.0 pg mL(-1) - 10.0 ng mL(-1). The sensitivity of the transducer is 167.8 +/- 14.2 Omega cm(2) per decade, and it also exhibits high specificity and good reproducibility
