    Represented is domestic and foreign literature review dedicated to usage of ultrafiltration for concentrating and purification of antigens. Discussed are the issues of deployment of various ultrafiltration techniques. It is determined that filtering in the tangential mode by means of modules with flat-frame filtering elements is among the prospective ones. Demonstrated is the impact of such technological specifications as concentration rate, pressure, temperature, and membrane nominal cut-off on molecular mass on the quality of target products, the time elapsed, and preparation losses decrease (increase). Literature data analysis proves to be useful for the selection of the proper procedure for concentrating and purification of protective antigens of bacterial and viral origins. In addition, it allows for taking into account the parameters under discussion when developing specific manufacturing technologies for diagnostic and preventive medical immunobiological preparation production

    Nuclear dependence of the transverse single-spin asymmetry in the production of charged hadrons at forward rapidity in polarized p+pp+p, p+p+Al, and p+p+Au collisions at sNN=200\sqrt{s_{_{NN}}}=200 GeV

    We report on the nuclear dependence of transverse single-spin asymmetries (TSSAs) in the production of positively-charged hadrons in polarized p+pp^{\uparrow}+p, p+p^{\uparrow}+Al and p+p^{\uparrow}+Au collisions at sNN=200\sqrt{s_{_{NN}}}=200 GeV. The measurements have been performed at forward rapidity (1.4<η<2.41.4<\eta<2.4) over the range of 1.8<pT<7.01.8<p_{T}<7.0 GeV/c/c and 0.1<xF<0.20.1<x_{F}<0.2. We observed a positive asymmetry ANA_{N} for positively-charged hadrons in \polpp collisions, and a significantly reduced asymmetry in pp^{\uparrow}+AA collisions. These results reveal a nuclear dependence of charged hadron ANA_N in a regime where perturbative techniques are relevant. These results provide new opportunities to use \polpA collisions as a tool to investigate the rich phenomena behind TSSAs in hadronic collisions and to use TSSA as a new handle in studying small-system collisions.Comment: 303 authors from 66 institutions, 9 pages, 2 figures, 1 table. v1 is version accepted for publication in Physical Review Letters. Hardware-Controlled Method of Desalting Antigen Components of Cholera Chemical Vaccine

    Experimentally substantiated is the possibility to apply tangential ultrafiltration for desalting antigen components of the tableted bivalent chemical cholera vaccine. Specified are the technological parameters of the process. It is demonstrated that the properties of choleragen-anatoxin (produced by Vibrio cholerae strain 569B Inaba) and O-antigens (produced from V. cholerae 569B Inaba and M-41 Ogawa strains) obtained using the designed methodology are as efficient as the ones manufactured using certified procedure and satisfy regulatory requirements. Experimentally substantiated technology for the desalting of antigen components of chemical cholera vaccine provides for the reduction of the time elapsed up to 5-6 hours from the original 3 to 4 days. It also allows for the manufacturing under controlled conditions. This hard-ware controlled method of desalting has been implemented into the vaccine production practice

    L\'evy-stable two-pion Bose-Einstein correlations in sNN=200\sqrt{s_{_{NN}}}=200 GeV Au++Au collisions

    We present a detailed measurement of charged two-pion correlation functions in 0%-30% centrality sNN=200\sqrt{s_{_{NN}}}=200 GeV Au++Au collisions by the PHENIX experiment at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider. The data are well described by Bose-Einstein correlation functions stemming from L\'evy-stable source distributions. Using a fine transverse momentum binning, we extract the correlation strength parameter λ\lambda, the L\'evy index of stability α\alpha and the L\'evy length scale parameter RR as a function of average transverse mass of the pair mTm_T. We find that the positively and the negatively charged pion pairs yield consistent results, and their correlation functions are represented, within uncertainties, by the same L\'evy-stable source functions. The λ(mT)\lambda(m_T) measurements indicate a decrease of the strength of the correlations at low mTm_T. The L\'evy length scale parameter R(mT)R(m_T) decreases with increasing mTm_T, following a hydrodynamically predicted type of scaling behavior. The values of the L\'evy index of stability α\alpha are found to be significantly lower than the Gaussian case of α=2\alpha=2, but also significantly larger than the conjectured value that may characterize the critical point of a second-order quark-hadron phase transition.Comment: 448 authors, 25 pages, 11 figures, 4 tables, 2010 data. v2 is version accepted for publication in Phys.
