    AN EXPLORATORY SURVEY ON THE TOPIC INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS

    The aim of this article is to analyse publications about Integrated Management Systems (IMS) and identify research opportunities. We conducted a literature review using the software EndNote to index the articles, and identified features related to IMS based on a systemic analysis. The interest of firms in implementing standards for Quality, Environmental, and Occupational Health and Safety, respectively, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 is increasing, however, managing these three separate systems is a challenge. Some of the reasons that we presented in these articles for implementing IMS include satisfying customers’ requirements and responding to government appeals. Finally, we identified from the portfolio of articles the most cited authors, articles, barriers and difficulties for implementing IMS

    Análise comparativa dos cursos de graduação em administração na Alemanha, no Brasil e nos Estados Unidos da América

    The development of a country is closely linked to its education system. Thus the aim of this article is to present the methods adopted for selection, evaluation and curriculum of the courses of administration in Germany, Brazil and United States of America (USA). This study was conducted through a literature search, where were consulted websites of the Ministry of Education and universities of these countries that served as a reference for this research. The focus of this article is the comparison of admin s interaction with studied fact, it was used for the case study. It was made a critical analysis of the istration courses in these three countries, which were explored aspects of the environment that ha material collected, with the limitations of geographical character, because was approached the administration course in only three countries. It was observed that the course presents different qualifications as the curricular structure in the studied countries. Thus, it was found that the universities have the challenges related to compliance of the curricular structure with charges of the market, where it seeks to adapt to the needs of the economy and rapid adaptation to changing scenarios.O desenvolvimento de um país está estritamente ligado ao seu sistema de educação. Dessa forma, o objetivo deste artigo é apresentar os métodos adotados para seleção, avaliação e estrutura curricular dos cursos de administração na Alemanha, no Brasil e nos Estados Unidos da América (EUA). Para isso, realizou-se uma pesquisa bibliográfica nos sites do Ministério da Educação e das Universidades desses países. Observou-se que o curso apresenta diferentes habilitações quanto à estrutura curricular nos países estudados. Com isso, verificou-se que os desafios das universidades estão relacionados à conformidade da estrutura curricular com as cobranças do mercado, já que se busca a adaptação às necessidades da economia e a rápida adequação às mudanças constantes dos cenários.

    Evidenciation of Environmental Management: An Evaluation with Item Response Theory’

    The aim of this article is to measure the evidence ofEnvironmental Management using the Item Response Theory, based on website analysis from Brazilian industrial companies. This is a qualitative, exploratory, and descriptive study related to an information collection and analysisinstrument. Primary data was gathered from 638 company websites from 10 different Brazilian sectors: (1) Agricultural Production, (2) Automotive, (3) Chemicals and Petrochemical, (4) Construction, (5) Energy, (6) Paper, (7) Steel and Metals, (8) Information Technology, (9) Miningand (10) Textile. There was the creation of 26 items approved by environmental specialists. The results were attained with the measuring of Environmental Management evidence via the Item.Response Theory, providing a clear order of the items involved based on each item’s level ofdifficulty, quality, and propriety. This permitted the measurement of each item’s quality andpropriety, as well as that of the respondents, placing them on the same analysis scale. Increasingthe number of items involved is suggested for future research in order to permit broadersector analysis. It would also be interesting to build a Computerized Adaptive Test (CAT) forthe respondent – the end of the questionnaire – get, immediately, the degree of environmentmanagement evidence of your company. As such, a greater reach of the instrument should beconsidered with the objective to contribute to business management

    Responsabilidade social corporativa: um estudo de caso na empresa beta

    The Production Engineering addresses concerns related to sustainable development considering the technology, management models for organizations and their stakeholders. This article aims to analyze the perception of employees Beta Innovation in Engineering Ltda. regarding to the actions of the Corporate Social Responsibility. The items elaboration was based on the Social Responsibility dimensions from Araújo (2006), and the focus group technic conducted to assist the preparation of items, configuring the qualitative phase of the research. The quantitative phase is related to the response categories which used a Likert scale, and presented the results through percentages, means and confidence intervals. The higher mean was obtained to the item "actions and business of the company are guided by ethics". The employees' evaluation regarding their participation as volunteers obtained the lowest mean. We suggest a continuous relationship with employees through an appropriate communication plan, and the participation of other stakeholders in future surveys.A Engenharia de Produção deve abordar preocupações relativas ao desenvolvimento sustentável considerando a tecnologia, os modelos de gestão das organizações e seus stakeholders. Este artigo objetiva analisar a percepção dos colaboradores da Beta Inovação em Engenharia Ltda. quanto às ações de Responsabilidade Social da empresa. Os itens do questionário foram construídos considerando as dimensões de Responsabilidade Social definidas por Araújo (2006) e a técnica de grupo foco com os funcionários, realizada para auxiliar a elaboração dos itens a serem utilizadas no questionário, constituindo a parcela qualitativa desta pesquisa. A parcela quantitativa está relacionada aos itens do questionário que obedeceram a uma escala Likert. Os resultados foram apresentados em termos de percentuais, médias, intervalos de confiança e representação dos dados com o gráfico boxplot. Com maior média está o item referente às ações e negócios da empresa que, na percepção dos colaboradores são pautadas em padrões éticos. A avaliação do colaborador quanto a sua participação como voluntário apresenta a menor média. Para que a Beta mantenha credibilidade, sugere-se uma contínua construção de relacionamento por meio do planejamento de comunicação e respectivo monitoramento das ações da empresa junto aos seus stakeholders. Recomenda-se que outros públicos de interesse sejam alvo de levantamentos futuros
