STARTING DETERMINANTS OF STRATEGIC APPROACH TO MARKETING OF NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS: THEORETICAL ELABORATION
Non-profit organizations have remarkably important role in contemporary societies since they participate in solutions of numerous problems which enable or prevent functioning of society in an optimal way. In this, systematic application of marketing influences more efficient activity of non-profit organizations in practice, and by this indirectly contributes to better solution of social problems. If qualitative or systematic application of marketing is observed from the aspect of forming and realization of long-term goals, its application can be characterized as “strategic”. Consequently, it is possible to point out the importance of regular comprehension of main determinants of management of strategic marketing of non-profit organizations as an essential precondition for understanding the starting point, scope and possibility of application of systematic strategic marketing. These determinants include: social responsibility, non-profit organizations, marketing, development trends, social climate, and general and specialized education in marketing
Lirika Ante Cettinea
Ante Cettineo, a poet from Split (1898—1956), is underestimated in Croatian
literary history. The reasons are political, but also poetical: in his seven books of poetry there are many anthological, but much more unsuccesful verses, that explains the author’s lack of criticism. Cettineo’s
poetry is linked with fin-du siècle aestheticism as much as with mediterranianism, his private mithology which includes the interest for anthiquity, Catholicism, Spanish and Hispanic culture. Among his favorite
topics we can find: countrayside, prayers, everyday life of peasant
and fisherman, Roman tradition of Dalmatia etc.., He was also writing a poetry for children and poetry on Chakavian dialect. Cettineo’s versification is changable: in the beginning he was under the influence of classic verse, but most of his poetry is written in different types of verse-libre, frequently in biblical verse. Cettineo’s metaphor is important for the Croatian literary history: during the thirties he experimented
with hermetism under Italian influence (Quasimodo, Montale),
almost a decade before other Croatian poets. He was translating and accepting also Spanish (generation ’27) and Portugese poetry (Pessoa and Brasilians).
The text also refers to reception of Cettineo by Croatian and Serbian criticism

School management innovation and principal support systems: toward the agenda for Croatian school reform
In this paper, we discuss if the current educational management
practices in Croatian schools are in line with the constructivist
prescriptions and what is their relationship with the available principal
support tools. Our research is based on previous empirical results,
related to the perceived needs of school principals for training and
support. Namely, in 2011, the surveyed school principals required
additional competencies to be developed in the fields of school
marketing and management. At that time, the primary school
principals are being surveyed, related to their managerial practices
and the obtained results are interpreted in the context of the already
announced, comprehensive school reform in Croatia, designed
according to the constructivist educational theories. The empirical
results demonstrate that the managerial practices of Croatian
primary schools are not compatible with the constructivist theory of
education. One group of principals (27.6%) have adequate delegation
skills and focus on the specific fields of project management and
school marketing, while the majority demonstrate one (or several)
forms of ineffective practices. There is limited empirical evidence of
the statistically significant differences in the usage of principal support
tools/approaches, although the specific usage patterns have been
identified
Performance of non-profit organizations: Empirical contrasts between privately and publicly funded Croatian humanitarian organizations
In this paper we contrast different aspects of non-profit organizations’
performance from the perspective of their funding sources. Based on previous
empirical results indicating that sources of funding influence fundraising
performance, we extend the existing research to the analysis of overall
non-profit organizational performance. We use the social constructivist
approach to non-profit performance to discuss contrasts between privately and
publicly funded humanitarian organizations in Croatia. Some differences in
growth- and development-oriented measures of nonprofit performance for these
groups are identified and discussed in the context of future regional
research
potrebu dodatne empirijske verifikacije iznesenih rezultata i nužnost (re)interpretacije
recentnih svjetskih teorija za potrebe domaćeg gospodarstva u funkciji uspješnijeg strateškog
uklapanja domaćih poslovnih subjekata u globalno poslovno okruženje
