Inappropriately low aldosterone concentrations in adults with AIDS-related diarrhoea in Zambia: a study of response to fluid challenge-3
with initial concentrations below threshold of assay. In , aldosterone concentrations remained below threshold in 4 patients whose lines overlap and are therefore indistinguishable. Reference range for serum aldosterone in supine patients is 135–400 pmol/l. Note that even 'normal' serum aldosterone would be inappropriately low in patients with sodium depletion.
Copyright information:

Taken from "Inappropriately low aldosterone concentrations in adults with AIDS-related diarrhoea in Zambia: a study of response to fluid challenge"

http://www.biomedcentral.com/1756-0500/1/10

BMC Research Notes 2008;1():10-10.

Published online 17 Apr 2008

PMCID:PMC2518272.

</p

The rise in systolic BP was significant (p = 0.02) but there was no significant change in diastolic BP.
Copyright information:

Taken from "Inappropriately low aldosterone concentrations in adults with AIDS-related diarrhoea in Zambia: a study of response to fluid challenge"

http://www.biomedcentral.com/1756-0500/1/10

BMC Research Notes 2008;1():10-10.

Published online 17 Apr 2008

PMCID:PMC2518272.

</p
Flow of children with SAM through the programme.

Children who were found to have severe acute malnutrition (SAM) at screening were assessed, treated and followed up and their outcomes are shown. Some improved to moderate acute malnutrition (MAM). The colour key shows interventions and outcomes.</p
