Inappropriately low aldosterone concentrations in adults with AIDS-related diarrhoea in Zambia: a study of response to fluid challenge-3

Abstract

with initial concentrations below threshold of assay. In , aldosterone concentrations remained below threshold in 4 patients whose lines overlap and are therefore indistinguishable. Reference range for serum aldosterone in supine patients is 135โ€“400 pmol/l. Note that even 'normal' serum aldosterone would be inappropriately low in patients with sodium depletion.
Copyright information:

Taken from "Inappropriately low aldosterone concentrations in adults with AIDS-related diarrhoea in Zambia: a study of response to fluid challenge"

http://www.biomedcentral.com/1756-0500/1/10

BMC Research Notes 2008;1():10-10.

Published online 17 Apr 2008

PMCID:PMC2518272.

</p
