Estudi de la termodinàmica de la bateria d’una moto elèctrica de competició

The frame of this project is the design and assembling of a competition electric motorcycle by the MotoSpirit Team. MotoSpirit is competing in MotoStudent, a university competition at worldwide level in which engineering student test their skills and knowledge gained during their studies. The electric automobile industry is in clear uprising nowadays, with more regulations in terms of emissions for the vehicle sector, the society gaining knowledge on the global and local environmental challenges that it faces and the emergence of new technologies that point to a more sustainable future, with the electric vehicle being the clearest and closest example to the citizen. MotoSpirit’s vision is aligned with this change. The team takes part in MotoStudent in its electric category betting for the new and sustainable technologies. As Steve Jobs once said "The only way for people to do great at work, is to get them to do work they love" and, if on top of that this work helps in making the world a little more sustainable than the day before, this is the purpose of any human being achieved. The batteries are the heart of electric vehicles, as a motor assembled in a car is useless without them. Batteries are able to store energy to then power vehicles with no emissions. Nevertheless, the battery is a complicated system containing chemicals and hazardous substances. This is why the management of the batteries is of main importance. The industry not only has to produce batteries to store the energy produced with renewable sources, but the batteries have to be studied and perfected so they can have a longer life cycle, and once they are dead, reuse them and recycle all of their parts to create second generation batteries minimizg waste. The thermal management of a battery plays a very important role in this aspect, as its role is to keep the battery working under the safety constraints and the best thermal conditions possible for obtaining better performance and longevity. The principal goal of this thesis is to study the thermodynamics of the electric motorcycle designed by MotoSpirit under different conditions and find out which and where are the points that can originate problems in the behaviour and life of the battery, being similar to an report of the thermal ability or capacity of the battery and where should it be improved. For this, the thesis starts with the collection of the theoretical principles behind the battery system and the examples of how the problem of thermal management of a battery is handled nowadays by the battery and electric vehicle manufacturers. Following is the presentation and more importantly the thermodynamics study of MotoSpirit’s battery pack, where the simulations made are explained. The discussion of the result points out the information collected during the sim- ulations and the results obtained. Finally, the conclusions list the most important aspects found, problems and ideas of the solutions to be adopted by MotoSpirit’s team in its final battery design

Fa 50 anys, Paco Candel va abordar molts dels elements que són bàsics per a l'estudi de les migracions. D'una banda, les descripcions pioneres de les condicions de vida de la immigració més recent es poden comparar amb els itineraris de millora seguits per immigrats més antics, de manera que es posen en joc els factors principals que defineixen la integració social. I, d'altra banda, en un context històric en què eren dominants els discursos que concebien la identitat cultural com a única, Candel va mostrar les diverses capacitats d'adaptació cultural dels col·lectius immigrats, vinculades als processos d'integració social a la nova societat. Un tercer factor intervingué en la diversitat d'opinions generades per Els altres catalans: el seu estil literari.Hace 50 años, Paco Candel abordó muchos de los elementos que son básicos para el estudio de las migraciones. Por un lado, las descripciones pioneras de las condiciones de vida de la inmigración más reciente pueden compararse con los itinerarios de mejora que siguieron los inmigrados más antiguos, de forma que se ponen en juego los principales factores que definen la integración social. Y, por otro lado, en un contexto histórico en el que eran dominantes los discursos que concebían la identidad cultural como única, Candel mostró las capacidades diversas de adaptación cultural de los colectivos inmigrados, vinculadas a los procesos de integración social en la nueva sociedad. D'une part, les descriptions pionnières des conditions de vie de l'immigration plus récente peuvent être comparées aux itinéraires suivis et aux progrès accomplis par les migrants plus âgés, de façon que les principaux facteurs qui définissent l'intégration sociale entrent en jeu. Parentesco, parentalidad y género en las migraciones interiores españolas de la segunda mitad del siglo XX

El propósito de este artículo es presentar determinadas intersecciones entre parentesco y género a partir del estudio etnográfico de las migraciones interiores de la segunda mitad del siglo XX en el Estado español. En nuestras sociedades la consanguinidad, según la definen las ciencias sociales, es la condición que distingue las relaciones de parentesco de otras relaciones sociales. Sin embargo, desde esa condición las formas plurales de parentalidad no se dejan analizar ni tampoco, desde una perspectiva transcultural, las instituciones de parentesco de sociedades no occidentales. La perspectiva desde la que estudio las relaciones de parentesco parte de la concepción social del mismo, es decir, del estudio de aquellas relaciones que son comunes a la necesaria reproducción de los grupos humanos y que suelen prolongarse a lo largo de la vida. En la medida en que desde esta perspectiva el conjunto de funciones parentales que definen el parentesco han sido y continúan siendo protagonizados en todas las culturas por mujeres, estudiar el parentesco desde esta línea de investigación propicia la emergencia, en toda su dimensión, de las prácticas femeninas que contribuyen a transformar determinados aspectos del sistema de género dominante.Palabras clave: parentesco, funciones parentales, género, migraciones, representaciones culturales.AbstractThe purpose of this article is to show intersections between kinship and gender through the ethnographic study of internal migration movements in the second half of the 20th century in Spain. In Western societies, consanguinity, as defined by social sciences, is the condition that distinguishes kinship from other social relationships. However, from this point of view, it is impossible to analyze from a cross-cultural perspective plural forms of parenthood and many kinship institutions in non-Western societies. The perspective used to study kinship relationships springs from its social conception, i.e. the study of those relationships that are common to the necessary reproduction of human groups and that usually last throughout life. From this perspective, the set of parental roles that define kinship have been, and still are, taken on by women in all cultures. Therefore, studying kinship from this point of view promotes the emergence, in all their dimensions, of women’s practices that contribute to transforming the dominant gender system.Keywords: kinship, parental roles, gender, migrations, cultural representations
