Selective Laser Sintering of Zirconia with Micro-Scale Features
Recent work in Selective Laser Sintering of ceramics at the University of Texas at Austin demonstrates
the capability to produce zirconia parts with fine features. Zirconia powder was pre-processed into
spherical particles, laser sintered with a sacrificial polymer binder, infiltrated and post-sintered to higher

Quantum-based Mechanical Force Realization in Pico-Newton Range
We propose mechanical force realization based on flux quantization in the
pico-Newton range. By controlling the number of flux quantum in a
superconducting annulus, a force can be created as integer multiples of a
constant step. For a 50 nm-thick Nb annulus with the inner and outer radii of 5
m and 10 m, respectively, and the field gradient of 10 T/m the force
step is estimated to be 184 fN. The stability against thermal fluctuations is

Development of a Chaff Dispense Program for Target Tracking Radar Deception
This study aims to develop an appropriate chaff dispensing program to deceive the target tracking radar (TTR) effectively. Chaff is a countermeasure commonly used by fighter aircraft to deceive TTR. However, there has been a lack of methodology for calculating chaff dispense programs that take into account the specific characteristics of the fighter, chaff, and TTR. This study proposes a methodology that considers these variables to calculate chaff dispense programs and addresses this gap. The proposed method is demonstrated through TESS engagement, which shows its effectiveness in various engagement situations

Functionally Gradient Material Design and Modeling Using Hypertexture for Solid Freeform Fabrication
SFF technologies have the potential to become manufacturing process that are capable of producing
parts that have not been feasible by other techniques. The fabrication of Functionally Gradient Material
(FGM) is one of the possible candidate. It is critical.to provide three dimensional material gradient data
in the solid model to fabricate FGM. The approach is to model spatially varying material density
distribution on implicit solid geometry using a hypertexturing scheme and a procedural volumetric
modeling. It is essentially an extension of procedural solid texture synthesis, which has been effectively
used to model cloud, gas, and flow stream. It will save the amount of information storage especially
when the gradient pattern is repeating. Geometric operation becomes convenient since the material data

Batik dan Tenun Riau mulaidigunakan oleh masyarakat umum dan para kawula muda. Akan tetapi Tenun danBatik Riau sebagai salah satu pakain budaya melayu masih kalah dibandingkanBatik dan Tenun daerah lain. Hal ini disebabkan biaya produksi yang cukup tinggidan pemasaran yang masih kurang. Dari data yang dikumpulkan kendala yangdihadapi dalam produksi tenun adalah bahan baku berkualitas susah didapatkan.Bahan baku masih bersumber dari luar provinsi Riau bahkan luar negeri. Selain itukurangnya tenaga kerja juga merupakan kendala utama dalam produksi tenun.Masyarakat Riau sendiri banyak yang tidak berminat untuk melakukan pekerjaanmenenun, sehingga sumber tenaga kerja juga banyak berasal dari luar daerah Riau.Hal ini menyebabkan kurang berkembangnya produksi tenun dan dikhawatirkanjuga dapat menurunkan minat masyarakat Riau sendiri dalam peningkatan budayatenun
