New Formulas and Predictions for Running Fermion Masses at Higher Scales in SM, 2HDM, and MSSM
Including contributions of scale-dependent vacuum expectation values, we
derive new analytic formulas and obtain substantially different numerical
predictions for the running masses of quarks and charged-leptons at higher
scales in the SM, 2HDM and MSSM. These formulas exhibit significantly different
behaviours with respect to their dependence on gauge and Yukawa couplings than
those derived earlier. At one-loop level the masses of the first two
generations are found to be independent of Yukawa couplings of the third
generation in all the three effective theories in the small mixing limit.
Analytic formulas are also obtained for running in 2HDM and
MSSM. Other numerical analyses include study of the third generation masses at
high scales as functions of low-energy values of and SUSY scale
GeV.Comment: 42 pages RevTeX, including 16 figures. Typos corrected and one

Precision and uncertainties in mass scale predictions in SUSY SO(10) with SU(2)_L x SU(2)_R x U(1)_{B-L} x SU(3)_C intermediate breaking
In a class of SUSY SO(10) with
intermediate gauge symmetry, we observe that the
prediction on the unification mass is unaffected by
Planck-scale-induced gravitational and intermediate-scale-threshold effects,
although the intermediate scale itself is subject to such corrections.
In particular, without invoking the presence of additional lighter scalar
degrees of freedom but including plausible and reasonable threshold effects, we
find that interesting solutions for neutrino physics corresponding to
GeV and GeV are
permitted in the minimal models. Possibilities of low-mass right-handed gauge
bosons corresponding to TeV consistent with the CERN-LEP data
are pointed out in a number of models when threshold effects are included using
effective mass parameters.Comment: 12 pages including 7 tables (Typos corrected as per the published

Vanishing corrections on the intermediate scale and implications for unification of forces
In two-step breaking of a class of grand unified theories including SO(10),we
prove a theorem showing that the scale where the Pati-Salam gauge
symmetry with parity breaks down to the standard gauge group, has vanishing
corrections due to all sources emerging from higher scales such as
the one-loop and all higher loop effects, the GUT-threshold,gravitational
smearing, and string threshold effects. Implications of such a scale for the
unification of gauge couplings with small Majorana neutrino masses are
discussed. In string inspired SO(10) we show that ,needed for neutrino masses, with the GUT scale can
be realized provided certain particle states in the predicted spectum are
light.Comment: 21 pages, Late
Efficacy in treatment of moderate to severe degree organophosphorus poisoning with fresh frozen plasma, atropine and 2-pyridine aldoxime methyl chloride as compared to treatment with atropine and 2-pyridine aldoxime methyl chloride in Western Odisha
Background: Organophosphorus (OP) compounds are one of the most common agents used for suicidal poisoning. People in the middle socioeconomic status are mainly affected. The most important determinant of death in OP poisoning is the severity. The ideal treatment of OP poisoning, this study was undertaken to compare the efficacy of fresh frozen plasma (FFP) along with the standard regimen of atropine and oximes. Methods: 80 patients were taken in this study (40 cases and 40 controls) with history and biochemical pictures suggestive of acute OP poisoning. Normality assumption and equality of variance were satisfied for most of quantitative variables. As a comparison of the baseline data of the study groups did not reveal any significant difference (p>0.05), the result at a given point of time between two groups were also compared with the same methods of assess the comparative changes. Results: Total 80 patients >15 years of age were taken for the study. Out of the total 63.7% are female and 36.3% are males. OP compounds are commonly used as suicidal agent. Salivation is the most common presenting symptoms in both cases and controls. The mean value of serum cholinesterase on day -1 in cases and controls are nearly same but the subsequent mean values as the days progresses are higher in cases than that controls. Conclusions: FFP showed its positive effect in reducing the development of intermediate syndrome/ fatality/ ventilatory support.
Caste-Based Discrimination, Microfinance Credit Scores, and Microfinance Loan Approvals Among Females in India
We draw on the phenomenon of caste-based discrimination in India and signaling theory to assess whether microfinance credit scores improve the odds of female micropreneurs from a lower caste receiving loans and whether visible business characteristics further improve the odds of receiving microfinance loans. In a sample of 3,144 female microfinance loan applicants at a female-focused microloan enterprise in India, females from a lower caste, relative to those from a higher caste, have lower odds of receiving loans when their credit scores are below the mean. However, when females from a lower caste have credit scores higher than the mean, the odds of receiving a loan increase. The practical effect of size is small but meaningful. Loan applicants from a lower caste with a visible signal of business ability do not improve their chances of receiving a loan relative to those from a higher caste.©2020 Sage Publications. New Uncertainties in QCD-QED Rescaling Factors using Quadrature Method
In this paper we briefly outline the quadrature method for estimating
uncertainties in a function of several variables and apply it to estimate the
numerical uncertainties in QCD-QED rescaling factors. We employ here the
one-loop order in QED and three-loop order in QCD evolution equations of
fermion mass renormalization. Our present calculations are found to be new and
also reliable compared to the earlier values employed by various authors.Comment: 14 page
Radiative stability of neutrino-mass textures
Neutrino-mass textures proposed at high-scales are known to be unstable
against radiative corrections especially for nearly degenerate eigen values.
Within the renormalization group constraints we find a mechanism in a class of
gauge theories which guarantees reproduction of any high-scale texture at low
energies with radiative stability. We also show how the mechanism explains
solar and atmospheric neutrino anomalies through the bimaximal texture at high
scale.Comment: 4 pages REVTEX, 1 Postscript fi
