    Trabajo doméstico y vida académica : estudio comparativo sobre prácticas sociales de estudiantes mendocinas del nivel superior

    La división sexual del trabajo y su permanencia, enraizada en representaciones sociales que se traducen en sobrecarga de trabajo y desigualdad social para las mujeres mendocinas, es un punto central en el análisis de la formación profesional de las jóvenes estudiantes del nivel Superior de Educación de la provincia. El análisis buscará medir el nivel de incidencia que tiene el trabajo doméstico, entendido como la realización de labores domésticas tales como: limpieza del hogar, preparación de alimentos, cuidado y atención a niños/as y ancianos/as, etc, con el tiempo necesario que se debe dedicar a la formación académica, entendida como las horas destinadas al cursado, estudio y la realización de prácticas profesionales de la carrera elegida. Para ello indagaremos en las realidades cotidianas de nuestras estudiantes del ISTEEC 9-013, buscando analizar las estrategias que deben emplear para poder crear equilibrio entre la reproducción social que sostienen en su vida privada y su responsabilidad académica en el mundo público (no doméstico). Se utilizará como instrumento de recolección de datos: encuesta estructurada de respuesta abierta.     A Comparison of Power Quality Disturbance Detection and Classification Methods Using CNN, LSTM and CNN-LSTM

    The use of electronic loads has improved many aspects of everyday life, permitting more efficient, precise and automated process. As a drawback, the nonlinear behavior of these systems entails the injection of electrical disturbances on the power grid that can cause distortion of voltage and current. In order to adopt countermeasures, it is important to detect and classify these disturbances. To do this, several Machine Learning Algorithms are currently exploited. Among them, for the present work, the Long Short Term Memory (LSTM), the Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN), the Convolutional Neural Networks Long Short Term Memory (CNN-LSTM) and the CNN-LSTM with adjusted hyperparameters are compared. As a preliminary stage of the research, the voltage and current time signals are simulated using MATLAB Simulink. Thanks to the simulation results, it is possible to acquire a current and voltage dataset with which the identification algorithms are trained, validated and tested. These datasets include simulations of several disturbances such as Sag, Swell, Harmonics, Transient, Notch and Interruption. Data Augmentation techniques are used in order to increase the variability of the training and validation dataset in order to obtain a generalized result. After that, the networks are fed with an experimental dataset of voltage and current field measurements containing the disturbances mentioned above. The networks have been compared, resulting in a 79.14% correct classification rate with the LSTM network versus a 84.58% for the CNN, 84.76% for the CNN-LSTM and a 83.66% for the CNN-LSTM with adjusted hyperparameters. All of these networks are tested using real measurements

    Salicylates Inhibit T Cell Adhesion on Endothelium Under Nonstatic Conditions: Induction of L-Selectin Shedding by a Tyrosine Kinase-Dependent Mechanism

    Abstract Salicylates inhibit T cell adhesion to and transmigration through endothelium by preventing integrin activation induced by contact with endothelial cells. In the present study the effects of aspirin and sodium salicylate on the first steps of T cell adhesion have been analyzed in a nonstatic in vitro system. Salicylates partially reduced adhesion to activated endothelium and, in parallel, L-selectin expression on resting T cells by inducing shedding of the molecule without affecting its mRNA transcript. The role of L-selectin down-regulation in reducing T cell adhesion in this system was supported by the fact that aspirin inhibited T cell adhesion also on plastic-immobilized L-selectin ligand or when α4 integrin-mediated adhesion to endothelium was blocked by specific mAbs. In addition, preincubation of T cells with inhibitors of L-selectin shedding prevented both functional and phenotypic inhibitory effects of salicylates. The decrease in T cell adhesion and L-selectin expression seems to be dependent on intracellular calcium increase and tyrosine kinase activation, because these effects could be reversed by preincubating salicylate-treated T cells with EGTA, genistein, or tyrphostin. Finally, the infusion of aspirin into healthy volunteers induced down-regulation of L-selectin on circulating T cells. These results suggest that salicylates interfere not only with integrin activation, but also with the L-selectin-mediated first steps of T cell binding to endothelium

    We present the case of a 33 year-old Italian man who came to our attention for epigastralgia associated with polyserositis (pleural and pericardial and peritoneal effusion with the involvement of the Douglas excavation), in the absence of a significant medical history. Laboratory analysis revealed exudative eosinophilic pleural effusion; serial imaging techniques showed a transient stenosis of the right hepatic duct and a subsequent stenosis of the left hepatic duct. After several negative sierological investigations, a positive antistrongyloides IgG antibodies titre rose suspicions of Strongyloides infection, which was confirmed by positive stool sample for parasite. Ivermectin-therapy was started and the patient’s fully recovered

    Psychological treatments and psychotherapies in the neurorehabilitation of pain. Evidences and recommendations from the italian consensus conference on pain in neurorehabilitation

    BACKGROUND: It is increasingly recognized that treating pain is crucial for effective care within neurological rehabilitation in the setting of the neurological rehabilitation. The Italian Consensus Conference on Pain in Neurorehabilitation was constituted with the purpose identifying best practices for us in this context. Along with drug therapies and physical interventions, psychological treatments have been proven to be some of the most valuable tools that can be used within a multidisciplinary approach for fostering a reduction in pain intensity. However, there is a need to elucidate what forms of psychotherapy could be effectively matched with the specific pathologies that are typically addressed by neurorehabilitation teams. OBJECTIVES: To extensively assess the available evidence which supports the use of psychological therapies for pain reduction in neurological diseases. METHODS: A systematic review of the studies evaluating the effect of psychotherapies on pain intensity in neurological disorders was performed through an electronic search using PUBMED, EMBASE, and the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews. Based on the level of evidence of the included studies, recommendations were outlined separately for the different conditions. RESULTS: The literature search yielded 2352 results and the final database included 400 articles. The overall strength of the recommendations was medium/low. The different forms of psychological interventions, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, cognitive or behavioral techniques, Mindfulness, hypnosis, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Brief Interpersonal Therapy, virtual reality interventions, various forms of biofeedback and mirror therapy were found to be effective for pain reduction in pathologies such as musculoskeletal pain, fibromyalgia, Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, Central Post-Stroke pain, Phantom Limb Pain, pain secondary to Spinal Cord Injury, multiple sclerosis and other debilitating syndromes, diabetic neuropathy, Medically Unexplained Symptoms, migraine and headache. CONCLUSIONS: Psychological interventions and psychotherapies are safe and effective treatments that can be used within an integrated approach for patients undergoing neurological rehabilitation for pain. The different interventions can be specifically selected depending on the disease being treated.     Constraints on the χ_(c1) versus χ_(c2) polarizations in proton-proton collisions at √s = 8 TeV

    The polarizations of promptly produced χ_(c1) and χ_(c2) mesons are studied using data collected by the CMS experiment at the LHC, in proton-proton collisions at √s=8  TeV. The χ_c states are reconstructed via their radiative decays χ_c → J/ψγ, with the photons being measured through conversions to e⁺e⁻, which allows the two states to be well resolved. The polarizations are measured in the helicity frame, through the analysis of the χ_(c2) to χ_(c1) yield ratio as a function of the polar or azimuthal angle of the positive muon emitted in the J/ψ → μ⁺μ⁻ decay, in three bins of J/ψ transverse momentum. While no differences are seen between the two states in terms of azimuthal decay angle distributions, they are observed to have significantly different polar anisotropies. The measurement favors a scenario where at least one of the two states is strongly polarized along the helicity quantization axis, in agreement with nonrelativistic quantum chromodynamics predictions.
