Business Strategy Analytics for Public Procurement Architecture Development

    Get PDF
The public procurement (PP) architecture development should be considered as highly customized set of projects, because of the necessity to respect local branch requirements and national regulations as well as to avoid corruption and to secure that system according to the national and local policies. Therefore, the enterprise architecture (EA) models should satisfy the regional and national requirements, and business strategies. Assuming that business structure and processes follow business strategy, the main goals of the paper are to present the business strategy model in the enterprise architecture language, i.e., ArchiMate and to emphasize the strategy formulation value for the business process modeling

Evidence Based Management for Bologna Process Support

    Get PDF
In the paper, author explains the evidence based management approach application for university education process audit and accreditation. The Bologna Process encourages universities to implement the National Qualification Framework, and student learning outcomes development. Author shares her own experiences and argues that learning outcomes provide the evidence of quality of educational processes. The paper aims to present that evidence based approach results in university education ontology development. The paper supports the methodology for evidence gathering at universities

Health Education in Upper Secondary Schools – Assumptions and Opportunities of Implementation in the Light of the Curriculum

The effectiveness of health education, an important area of school education, depends on many factors. One of them is the conceptual layer expressed in the core curriculum. The aim of the research presented in this article was to check whether the learning objectives and content in Polish upper secondary school curricula are consistent with theoretical assumptions based on the achievements of health pedagogy. Qualitative and quantitative content analysis was used. First, the main assumptions of school health education were reconstructed to define analytical categories for further research (dimensions of health in a holistic model, conceptsof health, pillars of health education, and methodological approaches). Then, the learning objectives and content of the 2018 core curriculum for Polish upper secondary schools wereanalysed. The obtained results indicate insufficient compliance of objectives and content with the assumptions of health education, which suggests the existence of a hidden programin this area already at the conceptual level

Privacy Awareness in the GDPR Implementation Circumstances

    Get PDF
Acting in a professional and ethical manner encourages business units to ensure that actions to protect privacy are performed in a reliable, consistent, responsible and effective manner. Some business people say that privacy protection can be considered a source of competitive advantage. General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) fosters a privacy-positive culture development to provide a positive privacy protection influence on the Internet users\u27 behaviors. GDPR mostly focuses on a framework of activities of business organizations and does not emphasize the role of the Internet users, whose reputation and positive image are exposed. Therefore, the paper aims to discuss hazard tolerance and resilience in the context of privacy by design approach development. The survey on usage of mobile devices and web services is the basis for the discussion. The exemplar survey reveals students\u27 resilience to new media impact on their privacy

Project Management for Enterprise Architecture Evaluation

    Get PDF
The Enterprise Architecture (EA) describes overarching designs ofindividual physical and logical components, so that they assembly resultsin a complete and working product. The designs are developed within anyprojects. The designs concern computer systems and network implementation, software development and installation, data migration and businessprocesses reengineering. The paper supports the thesis that EA is acomplex of information communication technology (ICT) projects and as suchshould be evaluated by deployment of cost-benefit investment evaluationmethods usually applied for project management. The main goal of the paperis to present opportunities of enterprise architecture evaluation byproject evaluations. In the paper, different projects, i.e., multiproject, project portfolio, project programme, roll-out projects, large project, are discussed in the aspect of their value creation in the EnterpriseArchitecture development process

Motivation-oriented Architecture Modelling for e-Healthcare Prosumption

    Get PDF
The enterprise architecture (EA) is a coherent and consistent set of principles and rules that guide system design. In EA modelling methods, an enterprise is identified with institution, business or administrative unit, a firm or an industrialized region. Enterprise architecture is also considered as strategic information assets, which determine the business mission, the technology necessary to perform the mission, the transitional processes for implementing new technologies in response to the changing mission needs. In this paper, the human i.e., stakeholders\u27 roles are emphasized as well as the motivation orientation in the enterprise architecture development is discussed. The following questions are formulated: who is the stakeholder of the EA, who is accountable and responsible for EA development, and what goals, constraints, and values are realized in the stakeholder activities\u27 processes for the organization mission and vision by example of e-healthcare prosumption system

    Enterprise Architecture Context Analysis Proposal

    Get PDF
The enterprise architecture (EA) is defined as a coherent and consistent set of principles and rules that guide system design. In the EA modelling methods, an enterprise is identified with institution, business or administrative unit. The EA development methods mostly focus on the EA internal problem visualization, as well as on the procedural and different viewpoint approaches. However, in this paper, author would like to emphasize the EA context specification. The first part of the paper covers presentation of different meanings of context in information science. Next, the discussion on the EA context in related publications is included. The third part comprises a proposal of considering EA stakeholders, principles and other information technology (IT) systems as an EA context. Finally, a short case study is included for the context visualization
