Pengaruh Penyiangan Dan Suhu Penyimpanan Terhadap Mutu Kimiawi, Mikrobiologis Dan Organoleptik Ikan Tongkol (Auxis Tharzard, Lac)
Ikan tongkol merupakan salah satu bahan pangan yang dikonsumsi masyarakat dan jika dibiarkanpada suhu kamar, maka terjadi proses penurunan mutu menjadi busuk. Ikan yang sudah mengalami prosespembusukan, bila dikonsumsi dapat menimbulkan keracunan (Histamine fish poisoning). Keracunan inidisebabkan oleh kontaminasi bakteri pathogen dengan dekarboksilasi asam amino histidin oleh enzimhistidin dekarboksilase menghasilkan histamin. Bakteri ini banyak terdapat pada anggota tubuh manusiayang tidak higienis, kotoran/tinja, isi Perut ikan, insang serta peralatan yang tidak bersih.Penelitian eksperimental dengan pola faktorial, yaitu faktor P adalah faktor penyiangan dengan 2 taraf,tanpa penyiangan dan penyiangan, sedangkan faktor T adalah suhu penyimpanan dengan 3 taraf yaitu suhupenyimpanan 30oC, 15oC dan 0oC.Analisis statistik terhadap mutu kimiawi seperti kadar histamin, kadar total volatil bases (TVB) dantrimetilamin (TMA) menunjukkan perbedaan nyata (P<0,05) pada pengaruh penyiangan dan suhupenyimpanan. Terjadi peningkatan kadar histamin, kadar TVB dan TMA selama penelitian. Selamapenelitian terjadi peningkatan jumlah koloni bakteri, jumlah Coliform, kecuali bakteri Vibrioparahaemolyticus negatif. Perlakuan penyiangan dan suhu penyimpanan 0oC memiliki mutu kimiawi,mikrobiologis terbaik sampai hari ke 10 serta masih diterima panelis.Hubungan antara kadar histamin dengan jumlah bakteri mempunyai hubungan sangat kuat, ditunjukkandengan nilai r ? 0,7 kecuali kadar histamin dengan waktu memiliki hubungan agak lemah r ? 0,5.Keamanan ikan tongkol dengan penerapan teknologi tepat guna berupa tanpa penyiangan danpenyiangan pada suhu 30oC hanya aman untuk dikonsumsi sampai hari ke 0. Perlakuan tanpa penyiangandan suhu penyimpanan 15oC aman sampai hari ke 4, sedangkan dengan penyiangan aman sampai hari ke 6.Untuk perlakuan tanpa penyiangan dan penyiangan dengan suhu penyimpanan 0oC aman sampai hari ke 10
Investigation of complete and incomplete fusion in Li+Sn reaction around Coulomb barrier energies
The complete and incomplete fusion cross sections for Li+Sn
reaction were measured using online and offline characteristic -ray
detection techniques. The complete fusion (CF) cross sections at energies above
the Coulomb barrier were found to be suppressed by 26 \% compared to the
coupled channel calculations. This suppression observed in complete fusion
cross sections is found to be commensurate with the measured total incomplete
fusion (ICF) cross sections. There is a distinct feature observed in the ICF
cross sections, i.e., -capture is found to be dominant than
-capture at all the measured energies. A simultaneous explanation of
complete, incomplete and total fusion (TF) data was also obtained from the
calculations based on Continuum Discretized Coupled Channel method with short
range imaginary potentials. The cross section ratios of CF/TF and ICF/TF
obtained from the data as well as the calculations showed the dominance of ICF
at below barrier energies and CF at above barrier energies.Comment: 9 pages, 8 figure
Superfluid, Mott-Insulator, and Mass-Density-Wave Phases in the One-Dimensional Extended Bose-Hubbard Model
We use the finite-size density-matrix-renormalization-group (FSDMRG) method
to obtain the phase diagram of the one-dimensional () extended
Bose-Hubbard model for density in the plane, where and
are, respectively, onsite and nearest-neighbor interactions. The phase diagram
comprises three phases: Superfluid (SF), Mott Insulator (MI) and Mass Density
Wave (MDW). For small values of and , we get a reentrant SF-MI-SF phase
transition. For intermediate values of interactions the SF phase is sandwiched
between MI and MDW phases with continuous SF-MI and SF-MDW transitions. We
show, by a detailed finite-size scaling analysis, that the MI-SF transition is
of Kosterlitz-Thouless (KT) type whereas the MDW-SF transition has both KT and
two-dimensional-Ising characters. For large values of and we get a
direct, first-order, MI-MDW transition. The MI-SF, MDW-SF and MI-MDW phase

Radiobiological Evaluation of Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy Treatments of Patients with Head and Neck Cancer: A Dual-Institutional Study
In clinical practice, evaluation of clinical efficacy of treatment planning stems from the radiation oncologist\u27s experience in accurately targeting tumors, while keeping minimal toxicity to various organs at risk (OAR) involved. A more objective, quantitative method may be raised by using radiobiological models. The purpose of this work is to evaluate the potential correlation of OAR-related toxicities to its radiobiologically estimated parameters in simultaneously integrated boost (SIB) intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) plans of patients with head and neck tumors at two institutions. Lyman model for normal tissue complication probability (NTCP) and the Poisson model for tumor control probability (TCP) models were used in the Histogram Analysis in Radiation Therapy (HART) analysis. In this study, 33 patients with oropharyngeal primaries in the head and neck region were used to establish the correlation between NTCP values of (a) bilateral parotids with clinically observed rates of xerostomia, (b) esophagus with dysphagia, and (c) larynx with dysphagia. The results of the study indicated a strong correlation between the severity of xerostomia and dysphagia with Lyman NTCP of bilateral parotids and esophagus, respectively, but not with the larynx. In patients without complications, NTCP values of these organs were negligible. Using appropriate radiobiological models, the presence of a moderate to strong correlation between the severities of complications with NTCP of selected OARs suggested that the clinical outcome could be estimated prior to treatment
Ekpyrosis and inflationary dynamics in heavy ion collisions: the role of quantum fluctuations
We summarize recent significant progress in the development of a
first-principles formalism to describe the formation and evolution of matter in
very high energy heavy ion collisions. The key role of quantum fluctuations
both before and after a collision is emphasized. Systematic computations are
now feasible to address early time dynamics essential to quantifying properties

Chiral Quark Model with Configuration Mixing
The implications of one gluon exchange generated configuration mixing in the
Chiral Quark Model (QM) with SU(3) and axial U(1) symmetry
breakings are discussed in the context of proton flavor and spin structure as
well as the hyperon -decay parameters. We find that QM
with SU(3) symmetry breaking is able to give a satisfactory unified fit for
spin and quark distribution functions, with the symmetry breaking parameters
, and the mixing angle , both for NMC and the
most recent E866 data. In particular, the agreement with data, in the case of

Surface Critical Behavior of Binary Alloys and Antiferromagnets: Dependence of the Universality Class on Surface Orientation
The surface critical behavior of semi-infinite
(a) binary alloys with a continuous order-disorder transition and
(b) Ising antiferromagnets in the presence of a magnetic field is considered.
In contrast to ferromagnets, the surface universality class of these systems
depends on the orientation of the surface with respect to the crystal axes.
There is ordinary and extraordinary surface critical behavior for orientations
that preserve and break the two-sublattice symmetry, respectively. This is
confirmed by transfer-matrix calculations for the two-dimensional
