Static highly elliptical orbits using hybrid low-thrust propulsion
Static highly-elliptical orbits enabled using hybrid solar-sail/solar-electric propulsion are investigated. These newly proposed orbits, termed Taranis orbits, have free selection of âcritical inclinationâ and use low-thrust propulsion to compensate for the drift in argument of perigee caused by Earthâs gravitational field. In this paper, a 12-hr Taranis orbit with an inclination of 90deg is developed to illustrate the principle. The acceleration required to enable this novel orbit is made up partly by the acceleration produced by solar-sails of various characteristic accelerations, and the remainder supplied by the electric thruster. Order of magnitude mission lifetimes are determined, a strawman mass budget is also developed for two system constraints, firstly spacecraft launch-mass is fixed, and secondly the maximum thrust of the thruster is constrained. Fixing maximum thrust increases mission lifetimes, and solar-sails are considered near to mid-term technologies. However, fixing mass results in negligible increases in mission lifetimes for all hybrid cases considered, solar sails also require significant development. This distinction highlights an important contribution to the field, illustrating that addition of a solar-sail to an electric propulsion craft can have negligible benefit when mass is the primary system constraint. Technology requirements are also outlined, including sizing of solar-arrays, propellant tanks and solar sails
A Company Profile: a Way to Get More Customers for Irama Mas Yamaha Music School Surabaya
The absence of the Company Profile at Irama Mas Yamaha Music School (IMYMS) is a problem that can lead to several problems in convincing and attracting customers about its credibility and its uniqueness. Most customers only know that Irama Mas is a Yamaha Music School, while actually, it is more than just a music school. As a music company, Irama Mas needs to have more customers to support its successful in a business world. Therefore, the bilingual company profile with some chosen features is made to help IMYMS clearly explain and attract customers about its products and services and market IMYMS. This company profile can also be used as a guidance in making its website since it does not have a website
Exact and Asymptotic Weighted Logrank Tests for Interval Censored Data: The interval R Package
For right-censored data perhaps the most commonly used tests are weighted logrank tests, such as the logrank and Wilcoxon-type tests. In this paper we review several generalizations of those weighted logrank tests to interval-censored data and present an R package, interval, to implement many of them. The interval package depends on the perm package, also presented here, which performs exact and asymptotic linear permutation tests. The perm package performs many of the tests included in the already available coin package, and provides an independent validation of coin. We review analysis methods for interval-censored data, and we describe and show how to use the interval and perm packages.
Sun-synchronous highly elliptical orbits using low-thrust propulsion
Due to restrictions within the current architecture of the global observing system (GOS), space-based remote sensing of Earth suffers from an acute data-deficit over the critical polar-regions. Currently, observation of high-latitude regions is conducted using composite images from spacecraft in geostationary (GEO) and low-Earth orbits (LEOs) [1]. However, the oblique viewing geometry from GEO-based systems to latitudes above around 55 deg [2] and the insufficient temporal resolution of spacecraft in LEO means there is currently no source of continuous imagery for polar-regions obtained with a data refresh rate of less than 15 minutes, as is typically available elsewhere for meteorological observations
Subcellular Localization of Beta Catenin in Colorectal Non Neoplastic and Neoplastic Lesions
Loss of adenomatous polyposis coli (APC) function is typically an early event in sporadic colorectal cancer (CRC) pathogenesis. The key tumor suppressor function of the APC protein lies in its ability to destabilize free cytoplasmic beta catenin. This lead to the accumulation of nuclear beta catenin, and together with the DNA binding protein Tcf-4, function as a transcriptional activator. Accumulation of stabilized free β-catenin is considered as an early event and perhaps initiating the process in intestinal tumorigenesis. Neoplastic transformation in the CRC associated chronic colitis is considered similar to the adenoma-carcinoma sequence in sporadic CRC. The distinguish feature from the CRC-related colitis is the difference in time and frequency changes. Loss of APC function, regarded as the beginning of a very common event in sporadic CRC, but the CRC associated chronic colitis generally occurs at the end of the dysplasia-carcinoma sequence. This research was conducted to determine the subcellular location of beta catenin expression in chronic colitis, colorectal adenomas and carcinomas that were evaluated by immunohistochemical staining. It can be concluded that beta-catenin is a component that plays a role in the development of the CRC and the subcellular location of beta-catenin can describe its oncogenic activity.
Endowment Effects and Contribution Strategies in Public Good Experiments
We investigate behavior in a laboratory public good experiment with unique endowment schemes that allow a wider range of contribution strategies than in standard voluntary contribution mechanism (VCM) experiments. A baseline treatment follows a standard VCM design (subjects receive 10 tokens in each of 10 rounds that may be allocated between a private account and a group account). In a new carry-over treatment, any tokens not allocated to the group account in the current period are made available for contributions in future periods. Under full endowment, subjects receive 100 tokens in round one (rather than 10 tokens per round for each of 10 rounds). In the pledge treatment, subjectsâ allocation decisions for an initial endowment of 100 tokens may be changed in any round and are binding only for the final round. We find that the size of the effective endowment and whether contributions are binding significantly impact subject decision making. Deviations from the free riding outcome are greater when subjects have a larger portion of their total endowment earlier in the experiment, and subjects contribute less when their contribution decisions are bindin
Changes in yield and composition of barley, wheat and triticale grains harvested during advancing stages of ripening
peer-reviewedThis study involved an evaluation of the changes in grain yield, nutritive value, ensilability
and harvesting losses of intensively managed winter cereals harvested during
the advancing stages of ripening. Five cereal crops (barley cv. Regina and wheat cv.
Madrigal in 2001; barley cv. Regina, wheat cv. Falstaff and triticale cv. Fidelio in 2002)
were assessed. Twenty plots per crop were arranged in a randomised complete block
design, with five times of harvest (four for barley in 2002) and four replicate blocks
per harvest. Dry matter (DM) yields changed relatively little between harvest dates,
but fresh yields declined (P < 0.001) over time due to the moisture loss associated with
ripening. Time-course changes in indices of nutritive value, such as concentrations of
crude protein, starch and ash, and organic matter digestibility, were relatively small
and did not follow a consistent pattern. Ensilability indices, such as DM and watersoluble
carbohydrate concentrations and buffering capacity, indicated that satisfactory
fermentations were likely if such crops were ensiled; buffering capacity, generally
declining with advancing maturity. Harvesting losses were not clearly related to growth
stage at harvest. It is concluded that winter cereal grain (barley, wheat and triticale)
DM yields and quality were relatively constant as ripening progressed from DM concentrations
of around 550 to >800 g/kg.One of the authors (P.S.) was in receipt

Implikasi Pusat Pertumbuhan dan Investasi terhadap Pertumbuhan Ekonomi dan Penerimaan di Kabupaten Muara Enim
This research was aimed at identifying the influence of (1) investment on economic growth, and (2) economic growth on revenues of Muara Enim Country. The secondary data consisted of those collected from Central Statistics Bureau, BankĂ of Indonesia, Investment Board, other agencies; they dealt with the data on investments, regional revenues, gross regional domestic products, and economic growth by district in the country. The research results show that the investment elasticity on the economic growth pointed at 0.58%. In case the investment changed into 1%, this means that the elasticity increased by 0.58%. The elasticity of the economic growth to revenues was -0.21%. In other words, if the economic growth increased by 1%, the revenues decreased by -0.21%. Districts of Semende Darat Laut, Lawang Kidul, Muara Enim, Talang Ubi and Gelumbang were identified as the areas that experienced the economic growth. To enable each district to make significant economic growth, generate incomes for the citizens, more jobs. The Country Government is recommended to implement strategic plans. The strategies include the development of human resources quality, and efficient policies on investments, trade, infrastructure building, agencies. These policies should be managed in an integrated way in order to ensure overall regional development and social welfare of the citizens
