Il centenario della borgata giardino Garbatella tra arte e architettura (1920-2020): ricerca e divulgazione

On the Centenary of the garden suburb Garbatella’s founding (18th February 2020), new research has been carried out at the Historical Archive of the ATER Roma, thanks to an agreement with Roma Tre University’s Department of Architecture for the study of documents on the architectural heritage of the Istituto per le Case Popolari of Rome. The history of the neighbourhood, from its founding in 1920 to its completion in the 1930s, has been deepened through the investigation of the Minutes of the Board of Directors and the documents annexed thereto. For the centenary, the Department of Architecture has also promoted the program Garbatella 20/20, within which various interdisciplinary activities for the dissemination of knowledge about the historical and cultural heritage of the neighbourhood have been organized

A DSS for Water Resources Management Under Uncertainty by Scenario Analysis

In this paper we present a scenario analysis approach for water system planning and management under conditions of climatic and hydrological uncertainty. The scenario analysis approach examines a set of statistically independent hydrological scenarios, and exploits the inner structure of their temporal evolution in order to obtain a "robust" decision policy, so that that the risk of wrong decisions is minimised. In this approach, uncertainty is modelled by a scenario-tree in a multistage environment, which includes different possible configurations of inflows in a wide time-horizon. In this paper we propose a Decision Support System (DSS) that performs scenario analysis by identifying trends and essential features on which to base a robust decision policy. The DSS prevents obsolescence of optimiser codes, exploiting standard data format, and a graphical interface provides easy data-input and results analysis for the user. Results show that scenario analysis could be an alternative approach to stochastic optimisation when no probabilistic rules can be adopted and deterministic models are inadequate to represent uncertainty. Moreover, experimentation for a real water resources system in Sardinia, Italy, shows that practitioners and end-users can adopt the DSS with ease

Garbatella 20/20. La città e la memoria

In occasione del centenario di Garbatella, il Dipartimento di Architettura di Roma Tre ha promosso il progetto Garbatella 20/20 e numerose attività interdisciplinari per la divulgazione della conoscenza del patrimonio storico e culturale del quartiere, in collaborazione con la cittadinanza e con diverse istituzioni.Nell’ambito del progetto, i corsi di Restauro dell’ultimo anno delle lauree magistrali hanno organizzato un laboratorio didattico che ha coinvolto più di cento studenti e si è avvalso della straordinaria partecipazione dell’artista Pietro Ruffo, con il quale è stata sperimentata per la prima volta una didattica integrata tra arte e architettura. Gli studenti hanno prodotto contenuti inediti per la conoscenza di Garbatella e hanno restituito la ricchezza dell’identità urbana, architettonica e sociale del quartiere attraverso letture analitiche e composizioni artistico-figurative. Sono state inoltre elaborate proposte progettuali per il restauro del contesto, con particolare attenzione al rapporto tra spazi pubblici e privati.On the occasion of the centenary of Garbatella, the Department of Architecture of Roma Tre launched the program Garbatella 20/20. This initiative included various interdisciplinary activities for the dissemination of knowledge about the historical and cultural heritage of the district, in collaboration with the citizens and many institutions. Within the program, the Restoration courses of the last year of the Master’s Degrees organized a workshop. More than one hundred students benefited from the extraordinary participation of the artist Pietro Ruffo, with whom they explored an integrated didactic approach between art and architecture for the first time. The students produced new content to further enhance understanding of Garbatella and analyzed the richness of the urban, architectural and social identity of the neighborhood through analytical readings and artistic-figurative compositions. Design proposals for the restoration of the context were developed, with particular attention to the relationship between public and private spaces

Catalogo della mostra "Le guerre di Aroldo Bonzagni". Centese di nascita, Bonzagni fu tra i principali protagonisti della scena artistica milanese nei primi due decenni del ventesimo secolo (fu tra i primi firmatari del Manifesto dei pittori futuristi). Amico di Boccioni, Carr\ue0, Russolo, Valeri, Dudreville, Bucci, egli fu autore di quadri, disegni e caricature di chiara marca espressionista. L'artista scomparse precocemente a causa della febbre spagnola nel dicembre del 1918
