Роль «Русской троицы» в пробуждении национального сознания западных земель Украины

Висвітлюються важливі аспекти діяльності громадсько-культурного угруповання демократичного спрямування, яке очолювали М. Шашкевич, І. Вагилевич і Я. Головацький.While analyzing materials from the encyclopedic guides, scientific and publicist works, and periodical issues, the author examines historical roots (origin) of the half-legal democratic, educational and literary group the «Ruthenian Trinity» («Ruska Triytsia»). He shows the significance of study and popularization of the major mission seen by the Trinity members in: elevation of the Ukrainian language status and authority; introducing revolutionary changes to the literature of that time by incorporation of folk language; desire to enlighten people and promote awakening of their national consciousness to the greatest possible extent. The article shows the specific results of the «Ruthenian Trinity» activity: «walking to the people», publication of «The Ruthenian Son» manuscript collection (1833); preparation of «The Star» («Zoria») to printing (1834), as well as the reason why its publication was forbidden by both the Viennese and the Lvivian censorship. The analysis of grounding for the official prohibition to spread «Rusalka Dnistrovaia» («The Nymth of the Dniester») almanac (1836) among readers is provided. It is about the sense of studying history of your nation in the people’s unity, recognition of collective nature of their historical destiny, in development of national consciousness and ardent love to the native language and the native land.Освещаются важные аспекты деятельности общественно-культурного объединения демократической направленности, которое возглавили М. Мечникова.The materials from encyclopedic guides, scientific and journalistic works and period issues, author highlights the life of the founders of evolutionary embryology, immunology and microbiology I. I. Mechnikov are analized. Winner of the Nobel Prize in Medicine and Physiology in 1908 «by learning of the immune system», he was born in Ukraine. The author shows way of scientific which passed the sage of science world, focuses on the character traits of explorer: his agility, the ability to organize everything perfectly, skills generously share their opinions, create an atmosphere of close communication and retrieval of knowledge and truth, while remaining conservative worker, manager and man. The article highlight the scientific achievements of the Nobelist. Development of his theory of the germ layers, origin of multicellular organism, the discovery of phagocytosis and phagocytic theory of immunity. We can see the scientific work on problems of aging, death and «ortobioz». Mechnikov received numerous award and distinctions. He received a score value of scientific discovery scientist by his followers on a global level and their importance for the formation of a new generation of independent Ukraine.В статье проанализированы научные достижения, освещена жизнь лауреата Нобелевской премии И. Украинская диаспора в Канаде и ее вклад в становление украинского независимого государства

У статті розглянуто основні хвилі міграції української діаспори до Канади, її підтримка та величезний внесок у становлення української незалежної держави.The history kept for us names of the first Ukrainian, arrived to Canada in 1891. These are residents of the village of Nebylov in the Western Ukraine Ivan Filippov and Vasily Elenyak. The Ukrainian immigration to Canada gains mass scope only after 1896, in many respects thanks to efforts of the galitsky agronomist Osip Oleskov who sent a big flow of the Ukrainian immigrants from villages of the Western Ukraine instead of Brazil to Canada. During the first wave of the Ukrainian immigration to Canada which is considered the largest and occurred between 1891 and 1914, in the country lodged more than 170 thousand Ukrainian. The second wave of Ukrainian immigration to Canada occurred in the interwar period, especially between 1924 and 1930. The third wave of Ukrainian immigration to Canada was due to political reasons and lasted from 1947 to 1954. Many of these immigrants were political refugees, which made this wave overtly politicized. In the early 1990s began the fourth wave of Ukrainian immigration to Canada, which continues today. Selective reinnervation for correction of unilateral paralysis of larynx in thyroidal surgery

Objective. To estimate the possibility of performance of selective reinnervation of larynx in its abductionaal unilateral paralysis in thyroidal surgery. Маterials and methods. There were analyzed the results of selective laryngeal reinnervation in 2 patients, suffering thyroidal cancer. Visual inspection of the larynx was conducted (fibrolaryngoscopy with archiving of the data) in preoperative and postoperative periods, аs well as in 2, 4, 6, 12, 18 and 24 mo postoperatively, spectral vocal analysis, estimation of vocal quality in accordance to the VHI-30 sсale reporting, using questionnaires ЕАТ-10 for determination of the dysphagia degree. Results. Selective reinnervation was performed in 2 patients with extralaryngeal branching of nervus recurrence: in one - the postponed selective reinnervation of larynx (аutoplasty of the adduction branch of nervus recurrence) for correction of its postoperative abductional paralysis, and in the second - primary selective laryngeal reinnervation (аnastomosis of the adductional branch of nervus recurrence in the “end-to-end” style). In the first patient the tone and stretching of the paralyzed vocal cord free edge was registered in 15 mo after reinnervation, the coordinated move signs - in 2 yrs. In a second patient the restoration of tone and mobility of a vocal cord was registered in 4 mo after reinnervation. In both patients the main indices of the voice spectral analysis and of the self-estimation in accordance to the VHI-30 and ЕАТ-10 scales were restored up to normal values. Conclusion. Selective reinnervation of larynx may be applied not for correction of respiratory disorders due to its bilateral paralysis only, but for restoration of a vocal function and elimination of aspiration symptoms in a case of unilateral paralysis of larynx as well

Problems and prospects of higher education system development in modern society: monograph

Монографія "Проблеми та перспективи розвитку системи вищої освіти в сучасному суспільстві" присвячена висвітленню особливостей функціонування сучасної вищої освіти, що виникають під впливом сучасних викликів у VUCA-світі, а також – визначенню перспектив подальшого розвитку вищої освіти. Особливу увагу авторам монографії потрібно приділяти вивченню тих умов реформування вищої освіти, які забезпечать сталий та результативний розвиток майбутніх фахівців. Автори колективної монографії дослідили комплекс нагальних проблем вищої освіти в Україні та за кордоном; визначили шляхи їх вирішення в умовах сучасних викликів на тлі трансформаційних змін у суспільстві. Це, у свою чергу, вплинуло на побудову логічної структури монографії. У першому розділі монографії "Врядування у системі вищої освіти України" висвітлено проблеми ефективного управління в сучасних університетах, а також перехід від управління до врядування у закладах вищої освіти та фактори, що сприяють цьому процесу. Розглянуто український досвід щодо участі студентів у діяльності університетів. У другому розділі "Розвиток потенціалу університетів: від теорії до практики" автори вивчають фактори, які впливають на розвиток ЗВО. Особлива увага приділяється вивченню розвитку наукового-педагогічного персоналу та впровадженню інноваційних технологій у розвиток працівників закладів вищої освіти. У третьому розділі «Забезпечення якості вищої освіти: європейський та український досвід» увагу авторів монографії зосереджено на вивченні сучасних підходів до оцінювання студентів та аналізі стейкхолдерів забезпечення якості системі вищої освіти в Україні та в ЄС
