Abnormal Domestic Information Disseminate on Cross-listed Nikkei 225 Index Futures from Abroad?

This study extends the GARCH with autoregressive conditional jump intensity in Generalized Error Distribution (GARJI-GED) model to identify the fundamental characteristics of Nikkei 225 index and futures. Furthermore, this study applied the Granger causality test to investigate whether an abnormal information lead and lag relationship existed for the Nikkei 225, SIMEX-Nikkei 225 and OSE-Nikkei 225. Empirical results demonstrate that Nikkei 225 index and futures show jump phenomena, implying a jump process is necessary to match statistical features in spot and futures markets. Finally, the empirical results indicated that the abnormal information of the OSE-Nikkei 225 futures contract significantly leads the one of the SIMEX- Nikkei 225 and Nikkei 225 index.

Theory of diffusive light scattering cancellation cloaking

We report on a new concept of cloaking objects in diffusive light regime using the paradigm of the scattering cancellation and mantle cloaking techniques. We show numerically that an object can be made completely invisible to diffusive photon density waves, by tailoring the diffusivity constant of the spherical shell enclosing the object. This means that photons' flow outside the object and the cloak made of these spherical shells behaves as if the object were not present. Diffusive light invisibility may open new vistas in hiding hot spots in infrared thermography or tissue imaging.Comment: 16 pages, 5 figure

Broadening the Cloaking Bandwidth with Non-Foster Metasurfaces

We introduce the concept and practical design of broadband, ultrathin cloaks based on non-Foster, negatively capacitive metasurfaces. By using properly tailored, active frequency-selective screens conformal to an object, within the realm of a practical realization, we show that it is possible to drastically reduce the scattering over a wide frequency range in the microwave regime, orders of magnitude broader than any available passive cloaking technology. The proposed active cloak may impact not only invisibility and camouflaging, but also practical antenna and sensing applications
