Tehnika životinja
Tehnika āživotinjaā uobiÄajena je u praksi mnogih svjetskih dramskih Å”kola, od Le Coqove L'Ćcole Internationale de ThĆ©Ć¢tre Jacques Lecoq do Strasbergove The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute. U posljednjih petnaestak godina pouÄava se i na Akademiji dramske umjetnosti u Zagrebu kao dio redovnog kurikuluma nastave Scenskog pokreta na 3.godini BA studija glume. Nakon sustavnog pouÄavanja tehnike životinja na ADU sve viÅ”e mladih glumaca poseže za ovom tehnikom oplemenjivanja glumaÄkih procesa u radu na profesionalnim predstavama. Proces rada na āživotinjamaā opisat Äu iz vlastite perspektive kako bih osim predstavljanja tehnike iznio i probleme s kojima sam se suoÄio u nastavnom procesu

Varijante rjeŔenja novog skladiŔta u zadanom prostoru
Cilj ovog rada je prikazivanje i razrada varijanti rjeÅ”enja novog skladiÅ”nog sustava u unaprijed definiranom prostoru. Na samom poÄetku opisan je problem preseljenja skladiÅ”ta u nove prostore, zatim su dane teorijske osnove skladiÅ”tenja i objaÅ”njena je metoda projektiranja novog skladiÅ”nog sustava. Nastavak rada prati upravo tu metodu, pa je glavni dio rada posveÄen analizi trenutnog skladiÅ”ta i zaliha te izradi varijanti rjeÅ”enja novog skladiÅ”nog sustava. Na koncu se pristupilo usporedbi varijanti i opisu moguÄih metoda izbora varijanti
Analiza protoka vertikalnih podiznih modula
U ovom radu opisani su vertikalni podizni moduli. Nakon opisa podruÄja tehniÄke logistike kojemu ovi ureÄaji pripadaju, prikazuju se detaljnije razliÄite izvedbe, dijelovi, prednosti i nedostaci, te podruÄja primjene. Glavni dio rada posveÄen je modelima oblikovanja VLM-ova te se u radu analizira protok izmeÄu dva razliÄita tipa ovih sustava iz Äega je na kraju donesen zakljuÄak u kojim je to situacijama poželjno nabaviti VLM sa dva prozora za izuzimanje, a u kojim to i nema nekog smisla
The Effect of Cyclic Adenosine Monophosphate (cAMP) on Acute Liver Toxicity in Mice Induced by D-galactosamine and Lipopolysaccharide
The aim of this study was to examine the effect of cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) and its possible interference/synergism with calcium channel blocker in mice with acute liver injury induced with D-galactosamine (D-GalN) and lipopolysaccharide (LPS). C57Bl/6 mice were given i.p. simultaneously 300 mg/kg D-GalN and LPS 0.01 mg/kg. This treatment induced severe hepatitis, as evidenced by high mortality (80ā90%) of control mice and large increase in concentration of aminotransferases in plasma (AST, ALT). Injection of stabile analogue of cAMP (dibutyryl-cAMP, db-cAMP) one hour before hepatotoxic agents increased survival of mice in dose-dependent manner and in medium dose significantly decreased plasma ALT level. Similar (protective) effect had also verapamil, calcium channel blocker, when given in non toxic doses and at the same time schedule as db-cAMP. Combination of db-cAMP and verapamil had not synergistic effect in protection from D-GalN+LPS hepatotoxicity; the survival of mice was similar to that seen in protection caused by each agent alone
Biomechanical stability analysis of transpedicular screws combined with sublaminar hook-rod system using the finite element method
Aim To develop and test a new posterior stabilization system by augmenting the posterior hook-rod system with
screws and rods.
Methods A biomechanical analysis was performed using
the finite element method. The anatomical structures were
modeled based on computed tomography data. Instrumentation (hooks, rods, and screws) was modeled based
on the data obtained by 3D scanning. The discretized
model was verified by converging solutions and validated against data from a previously published experiment.
A Th12-L1 spinal segment was modeled and modified by
removing the body of the L1 vertebra (corpectomy) and
the entire L1 vertebra (spondylectomy). The model was
additionally modified by incorporating stabilization systems: i) posterior stabilization (transpedicular screws and
rods); ii) combined posterior stabilization with sublaminar
hooks; and iii) combined anterior (titanium cage) and posterior (sublaminar hooks) stabilization. The rotation angles
in each group, and the strains on each part of the three stabilization constructs, were analyzed separately.
Results The combined anterior and posterior stabilization
system was the stiffest, except in the case of lateral bending, where combined posterior stabilization was superior.
Stress analysis showed that the posterior stabilization system was significantly unloaded when augmented with a
hook-rod system. A significant strain concentration was
calculated in the cranially placed hooks.
Conclusion Stiffness analysis showed comparable stiffness between the tested and proposed stabilization construct. Stress analysis showed luxation tendency of the
cranially placed hooks, which would most likely lead to
system failure
Differences Between the Two Most Common Forms of Neurofibromatosis and the Importance of their Exact Diagnosis- a case report
Neurofibromatoza tipa 2 je rijetka genetska bolest s autosomno dominantnim tipom nasljeÄivanja. Karakterizira je prisustvo mnogih tumora srediÅ”njeg živÄanog sustava, meÄu kojima su najÄeÅ”Äi meningeomi i Å”vanomi. Obilježje ove bolesti su bilateralni vestibulo- kohlearni Å”vanomi. Iako postoje odreÄene sliÄnosti s neurofibromatozom tipa 1, neurofibromatoza tipa 2 je uzrokovana potpuno drugaÄijom genetskom mutacijom, izaziva posebnu kliniÄku slike te se nadzire i lijeÄi sasvim drugaÄije. Prikazujemo sluÄaj 17-godiÅ”njeg djeÄaka koji je na poÄetku kliniÄke obrade bio pogreÅ”no dijagnosticiran kao sluÄaj neurofibromatoze tipa 1. Uziman- jem detaljnije anamneze i statusa pacijenta te daljnjom radioloÅ”kom obradom odreÄena je ispravna dijagnoza neurofibromatoze tipa 2. Bolesnik je operiran 3 puta od strane iskusnih kirurga te je njegov sluÄaj temeljito diskutiran na pedijatrijskom onkoloÅ”kom odboru. Neurofibromatoze postoje u raznim oblicima te se vode kao razliÄite bolesti. Svaka dijagnoza neurofibromatoze treba biti postavljena koriÅ”tenjem definiranih dijagnostiÄkih kriterija kako bi se omoguÄilo ispravno lijeÄenje bolesnika te Å”to dulje oÄuvanje njegove kvalitete života.Neurofibromatosis type 2 is a rare genetic disease with an autosomal dominant mode of transmission. It is characterized by many tumors in the central nervous system, where meningiomas and schwannomas are the most common. The hallmark of this disease is bilateral vestibulocochlear schwannomas. Although certain similarities with neurofibromatosis type 1 exist, neurofibromatosis type 2 is caused by a completely different gene mutation, producing a distinct clinical presentation and is monitored and treated differently. This paper will present the case of a 17-year-old boy misdiagnosed with neurofibromatosis type 1 at the beginning of his clinical workup. After taking a detailed patient history and an additional radiological examination, the correct diagnosis of neurofi- bromatosis type 2 was reached. The patient was operated on multiple times by experienced surgeons, which was thoroughly dis- cussed at the pediatric oncology board. Neurofibromatoses come in many forms and are different diseases. Every diagnosis of neu- rofibromatosis should be made using defined diagnostic criteria to enable the correct treatment of the patient and preserve the patientās quality of life as much as possible
Bolesnik s adrenalnom insuficijencijom i pernicioznom anemijom: je li nova podjela autoimunog poliglandularnog sindroma primjerena?
A case of autoimmune polyglandular syndrome (APS) is presented. A 45-year-old man was admitted due to fatigue, malaise and inappetence. He had a history of primary hypothyroidism and was on levothyroxine substitution therapy. One year before, he was diagnosed with normocytic anemia and vitamin B12 deficiency, which was treated with vitamin B12 substitution therapy. Physical examination revealed hypotension and marked hyperpigmentation. Laboratory testing showed hyponatremia, hyperkaliemia and severe normocytic anemia. Endocrinological evaluation disclosed low morning cortisol and increased adrenocorticotropic hormone levels. Hence, the diagnosis of Addisonās disease was established. Additional laboratory workup showed positive parietal cell antibodies. However, his vitamin B12 levels were increased due to vitamin B12 supplementation therapy, which was initiated earlier. Gastroscopy and histopathology of gastric mucosa confirmed atrophic gastritis. Based on prior low serum vitamin B12 levels, positive parietal cell antibodies and atrophic gastritis, the patient was diagnosed with pernicious anemia. Hydrocortisone supplementation therapy was administered and titrated according to urinary-free cortisol levels. Electrolyte disbalance and red blood cell count were normalized. This case report demonstrates rather unique features of pernicious anemia in a patient with Addisonās disease. It also highlights the link between type II and type III APS. Not only do they share the same etiological factors, but also overlap in pathophysiological and clinical characteristics. This case report favors older classification of APS, which consolidates all endocrine and other organ-specific autoimmune diseases into one category. This is important since it might help avoid pitfalls in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with APS.Prikazujemo sluÄaj bolesnika s autoimunim poliglandularnim sindromom (APS). MuÅ”karac u dobi od 45 godina hospitaliziran je zbog opÄe slabosti i malaksalosti. Od ranije je bolovao od primarne hipotireoze i uzimao je nadomjesnu terapiju levotiroksinom. Jednu godinu ranije otkrivena je normocitna anemija i deficit vitamina B12, zbog Äega je lijeÄen nadomjesnom terapijom vitaminom B12. Pri fizikalnom pregledu naÄena je hipotenzija i naglaÅ”ena hiperpigmentacija kože. Ulaboratorijskim nalazima naÄena je hiponatremija, hiperkalemija i teÅ”ka normocitna anemija. EndokrinoloÅ”kom obradom naÄen je snižen jutarnji kortizol te poviÅ”en ACTH, nakon Äega je postavljena dijagnoza Addisonove bolesti. Dodatnom laboratorijskom obradom naÄena su i pozitivna protutijela na parijetalne stanice uz poviÅ”enu koncentraciju vitamina B12 posljediÄno nadomjesnoj terapiji. Nalaz gastroskopije i patohistoloÅ”ke analize sluznice upuÄivao je na atrofiÄni gastritis te je stoga postavljena dijagnoza perniciozne anemije. ZapoÄeta je nadomjesna terapija hidrokortizonom i titrirana prema ciljnim vrijednostima slobodnog kortizola u 24-satnoj mokraÄi. Elektrolitski disbalans i anemija su se normalizirali. Ovaj prikaz sluÄaja je opisao karakteristike perniciozne anemije u bolesnika s Addisonovom boleÅ”Äu te naglaÅ”ava vezu izmeÄu APS tip II. i III. Ova dva sindroma dijele istu etiologiju te se njihove komponente Äesto preklapaju. SluÄaj naÅ”ega bolesnika daje prednost starijoj klasifikaciji APS koja dopuÅ”ta kombinacije svih primarnih endokrinih insufucijencija i drugih za organ specifiÄnih bolesti. PoÅ”tivajuÄi staru podjelu APS mogu se izbjeÄi potencijalne zamke u dijagnostici i lijeÄenju
Throughput analysis of vertical lift modules

After describing the areas of technical logistics which these devices belongs to, more detailed are shown: versions, components, advantages and disadvantages, and applications. The main part of the paper presents throughput models for VLM. Then, throughputs are analyzed between two different types of these systems from which it was eventually adopted conclusions in which situations it is desirable to acquire VLM with two pick windows, and in which situations it does not make sense
