Binary Pulsar Tests of General Relativity in the Presence of Low-Frequency Noise
The influence of the low-frequency timing noise on the precision of
measurements of the Keplerian and post-Keplerian orbital parameters in binary
pulsars is studied. Fundamental limits on the accuracy of tests of alternative
theories of gravity in the strong-field regime are established. The
gravitational low-frequency timing noise formed by an ensemble of binary stars
is briefly discussed.Comment: 4 pages, contributed paper to the proceedings of the IAU167

On approximations by trigonometric polynomials of classes of functions defined by moduli of smoothness
In this paper, we give a characterization of Nikol'ski\u{\i}-Besov type
classes of functions, given by integral representations of moduli of
smoothness, in terms of series over the moduli of smoothness. Also, necessary
and sufficient conditions in terms of monotone or lacunary Fourier coefficients
for a function to belong to a such a class are given. In order to prove our
results, we make use of certain recent reverse Copson- and Leindler-type
inequalities.Comment: 18 pages. arXiv admin note: substantial text overlap with

Folsomia abrupta n. sp. (Collembola, lsotomidae) from southern Vietnam
A new lsotomid Collernbola, Folsomia abrupta n. sp., is described from the Bi Doup massif in southern Vietnam, where it frequently occurs in rnedium to high altitude forest soils. Together with F: minipunctata Zhao & Tamura, 1992 from China, it constitutes a well-defined species group restricted to Sou~heasAt sia.

Towards Semantic Fast-Forward and Stabilized Egocentric Videos
The emergence of low-cost personal mobiles devices and wearable cameras and
the increasing storage capacity of video-sharing websites have pushed forward a
growing interest towards first-person videos. Since most of the recorded videos
compose long-running streams with unedited content, they are tedious and
unpleasant to watch. The fast-forward state-of-the-art methods are facing
challenges of balancing the smoothness of the video and the emphasis in the
relevant frames given a speed-up rate. In this work, we present a methodology
capable of summarizing and stabilizing egocentric videos by extracting the
semantic information from the frames. This paper also describes a dataset
collection with several semantically labeled videos and introduces a new
smoothness evaluation metric for egocentric videos that is used to test our
method.Comment: Accepted for publication and presented in the First International

Some reverse -type inequalities involving certain quasi monotone sequences
In this paper, we give some -type inequalities about sequences
satisfying certain quasi monotone type properties. As special cases, reverse
-type inequalities for non-negative decreasing sequences are obtained. The
inequalities are closely related to Copson's and Leindler's inequalities, but
the sign of the inequalities is reversed.Comment: 7 pages, Communicated in the Eighth Congress of Romanian
