USCID fourth international conference
Presented at the Role of irrigation and drainage in a sustainable future: USCID fourth international conference on irrigation and drainage on October 3-6, 2007 in Sacramento, California.Includes bibliographical references.Water and fertilizers are two major inputs in sugarcane productivity. The micro irrigation techniques like drip and rain gun sprinkler irrigation (RGSI) have an advantage over the surface method of irrigation to increase the water and fertilizer use efficiency. Two experiments were conducted at Vasantdada Sugar Institute, Pune during 1999 to 2006 for performance evaluation of RGSI and to optimize the dose of NPK fertilizer through RGSI for sugarcane crop. Both the experiments were conducted for one plant cane and two ratoon crops. In first experiment the performance of RGSI was studied in comparison with drip and surface irrigation. The RGSI has recorded 32% water saving, 15% increase in cane yield, and 1.70 times more water use efficiency as compared to surface irrigation. In second experiment the NPK fertilizer levels of 125%, 100%, 75% and 50% of recommended dose were applied through RGSI and the results were compared with 100% recommended dose of fertilizers under surface irrigation as a control. A fertilizer level of 75% has recorded 151.79 t/ha cane yield which is significantly superior to control, while 50% level has recorded 137.36 t/ha of cane yield, which is non-significant as compared to control. There was 25% NPK fertilizer saving in RGSI as compared to surface irrigation. From both the studies it is concluded that the rain gun sprinkler irrigation was effective in sugarcane crop for 32% water saving, 25% NPK fertilizer saving, 15% increase in cane yield, and 1.70 times more water use efficiency as compared to surface irrigation
Cybercrime and Cyber Law Pertaining to India: An analysis
No stones are untouched by technology which gives rise to various refined crimes performed by so called intellectual criminals. The crimes performed using technology is termed as cybercrime. This paper tries to give insight on the broader areas effected by cybercrime in India. It also tries to associate various laws under various sections of IT Act 2000 which can be levied upon the culprit. It focuses on three categories of crime, viz. crime against individual, crime against property and crime against government. The paper tries to give insight on the loopholes as well as statistics of various cybercrimes in India
VISIBLE SPECTROPHOTOMETRIC METHOD FOR ESTIMATION OF BISOPROLOL FROM ITS BULK AND TABLET FORMULATION
The proposed method is new, simple, sensitive, reproducible, economical, accurate and precise and can be successfully applied in estimation of bisoprolol. This method can find applications in clinical studies and therapeutic drug monitoring. This method of colorimetric estimation of bisoprolol is based on the formation of blue colored chromogen when reacted with ferric chloride and pottasium ferricynide. The concentration of bisoprolol over range of 1- 13 micro g/ml was found to obey Beer's law in the stated range. The blue colored complex has absorption maxmia at 770 nm with molar absorptivity and sandell's 2.2387 x 104 lit mol-1 cm-1 and0.0154 micro g/cm2/0.001 absorbance units, reproducible, specific, and the reagent was not found to react with the soluble matters of the body fluids. The results analysis were validated as per ICH Q2B guidelines. Keywords: Bisoprolol, visible spectroscopy, validatio

Online object trajectory classification using FPGA-SoC devices
Real time classification of objects using computer vision techniques are becoming relevant with emergence of advanced perceptions systems required by, surveillance systems, industry 4.0 robotics and agricultural robots. Conventional video surveillance basically detects and tracks moving object whereas there is no indication of whether the object is approaching or receding the camera (looming). Looming detection and classification of object movements aids in knowing the position of the object and plays a crucial role in military, vehicle traffic management, robotics, etc. To accomplish real-time object trajectory classification, a contour tracking algorithm is necessary. In this paper, an application is made to perform looming detection and to detect imminent collision on a system-on-chip field-programmable gate array (SoC- FPGA) hardware. The work presented in this paper was designed for running in Robotic platforms, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, Advanced Driver Assistance System, etc. Due to several advantages of SoC-FPGA the proposed work is performed on the hardware. The proposed work focusses on capturing images, processing, classifying the movements of the object and issues an imminent collision warning on-the-fly. This paper details the proposed software algorithm used for the classification of the movement of the object, simulation of the results and future work
SYNTHESIS AND DOCKING STUDIES OF 2-(NITROOXY)-ETHYL-2-(SUBSTITUTED-2,5-DIPHENYL-OXAZOLE)-ACETATE AS ANTI-INFLAMMATORY AGENTS WITH ANALGESIC AND NITRIC OXIDE RELEASING PROPERTIES
Objective: The objective of the reported study was to develop new chemical entities as potential anti-inflammatory agents with analgesic and nitric oxide releasing properties. Methods: The compounds were designed with the help of docking studies. In the synthetic study the target compounds were obtained by reacting 2-(substituted-2,5-diphenyl-oxazole)-acetic acid (2a-2v) with nitro-oxy ethyl bromide in the presence of dimethyl formamide and potassium carbonate to give 2-(nitrooxy) ethyl 2-(substituted-2,5-diphenyl-oxazole) acetate derivatives (3a-3v). The synthesized derivatives were characterized with the help of different analytical techniques and further evaluated for anti-inflammatory, analgesic and nitric oxide releasing activity. Results: With the help of docking study it was proven that compounds 3a, 3c, 3g, 3l and 3r showed significant G-score. In the anti-inflammatory and analgesic study also, compounds 3a, 3c, 3g, 3l and 3r exhibited promising activity. All the synthesized compounds exhibited significant nitric oxide releasing properties both in-vitro and in-vivo. Conclusion: Compounds 3a, 3c, 3g, 3l and 3r exhibited prominent anti-inflammatory and analgesic activity.Â
