The study of Factors Affecting Consumer Preferences of Shopping at Organized Retail Stores in Delhi NCR

The organized retail sector has experienced profound shift in the last decade due to change in the social, cultural & business environment. The primary focus of this research paper is consumer behavior & their shift towards organized retail shopping from traditional unorganized retail shopping taking into consideration of their purchasing pattern as well as shift in their perception which changes during their course of organized retail shopping experience. And also to check the hypothesis that the consumers prefer organized retail because of heavy discounts, ease of access and service delivery. This paper also highlights the challenges faced by retail industry

The Extreme Ultraviolet Deficit - Jet Connection in the Quasar 1442+101

In previous studies, it has been shown that the long term time average jet power, Q‾\overline{Q}, is correlated with the spectral index in the extreme ultraviolet (EUV), αEUV\alpha_{EUV} (defined by Fν∼ν−αEUVF_{\nu} \sim \nu^{-\alpha_{EUV}} computed between 700\AA\, and 1100\AA\,). Larger Q‾\overline{Q} tends to decrease the EUV emission. This is a curious relationship because it connects a long term average over ∼106\sim 10^{6} years with an instantaneous measurement of the EUV. The EUV appears to be emitted adjacent to the central supermassive black hole and the most straightforward explanation of the correlation is that the EUV emitting region interacts in real time with the jet launching mechanism. Alternatively stated, the Q‾\overline{Q} - αEUV\alpha_{EUV} correlation is a manifestation of a contemporaneous (real time) jet power, Q(t)Q(t), correlation with αEUV\alpha_{EUV}. In order to explore this possibility, this paper considers the time variability of the strong radio jet of the quasar 1442+101 that is not aberrated by strong Doppler enhancement. This high redshift (z = 3.55) quasar is uniquely suited for this endeavor as the EUV is redshifted into the optical observing window allowing for convenient monitoring. More importantly, it is bright enough to be seen through the Lyman forest and its radio flux is strong enough that it has been monitored frequently. Quasi-simultaneous monitoring (five epochs spanning ∼40\sim 40 years) show that increases in Q(t)Q(t) correspond to decreases in the EUV as expected.Comment: To appear in Ap

The Relationship Between Beam Power and Radio Power for Classical Double Radio Sources

Beam power is a fundamental parameter that describes, in part, the state of a supermassive black hole system. Determining the beam powers of powerful classical double radio sources requires substantial observing time, so it would be useful to determine the relationship between beam power and radio power so that radio power could be used as a proxy for beam power. A sample of 31 powerful classical double radio sources with previously determined beam and radio powers are studied; the sources have redshifts between about 0.056 and 1.8. It is found that the relationship between beam power, Lj, and radio power, P, is well described by Log(Lj) = 0.84 Log(P) + 2.15, where both L_j and P are in units of 10^(44) erg/s. This indicates that beam power is converted to radio power with an efficiency of about 0.7%. The ratio of beam power to radio power is studied as a function of redshift; there is no significant evidence for redshift evolution of this ratio over the redshift range studied. The relationship is consistent with empirical results obtained by Cavagnolo et al. (2010) for radio sources in gas rich environments, which are primarily FRI sources, and with the theoretical predictions of Willott et al. (1999).Comment: 6 pages, 2 figures, 2 tables; accepted for publication in MNRA

    Li-Fi: The Future Technology

Li-Fi is a wireless technology which provides the connectivity within large area network. The main objective of this technology is we can transmit the data using light illumination using light emitting diodes and radio frequency is used in Wi-Fi and LED bulb light intensity is faster than human eye that cannot follow. One germen phycist-Prof Harald Haas an expert in optical wireless communications at the University of Edinburgh, he demonstrated how an LED bulb equipped with signal processing technology could stream a high-definition video to a computer. By using this technology a 1 watt LED light bulb would be enough to provide net connectivity to more than one computers. This technology termed as "light fidelity". This technology provides transfer data more securely with higher data rates and high speed and high intensity. This technology is still under research and further exploitation could lead to wide applications

We have demonstrated a Yb:Ta2O5 waveguide laser fabricated by RF magnetron sputtering on oxidised silicon. The waveguide laser was end-pumped with a laser diode at 977 nm and lasing was observed between 1015 and 1020 nm. The launched pump power threshold and slope efficiency were measured to be ~25 mW and 1.78 %, respectively

Objective: The objective of this study was to employ hydrotropic solublization technique to facilitate the tirimetric analysis of poorly water soluble drug, ibuprofen precluding the use organic solvent. Methods: In the present investigation, poorly water-soluble anti-inflammatory drug, ibuprofen has been solubilized using 8M of urea as hydrotropic agent for its titrimetric analysis instead of using organic solvent. Results: There was an enhancement in solubility of ibuprofen in 8M urea solution as compared to solubility in distilled water. The mean percent estimation of ibuprofen estimated in bulk sample by Indian Pharmacopoeial Method is 98.56% while by the proposed method (using 8M urea) is 98.67%. The results of analysis by the proposed method are very close to the results of the standard method. Conclusion: Proposed method is simple, economic, accurate, eco-friendly and can be successfully employed in the routine quantitative analysis of drug in bulk drug and dosage form in industries

Improved Dissolution Rate of Leflunomide using Hydroxypropyl-β-Cyclodextrin Inclusion Complexation by Freeze-Drying Method

Inclusion complexes between leflunomide, a poorly water soluble antirheumatic drug, and HP-β-cyclodextrin (HP-β-CD) were used to improve the solubility and dissolution rate of the drug. Leflunomide forms an inclusion complex with HP-β-CD both in aqueous and in solid state. Phase solubility profile indicated that the solubility of leflunomide significantly increased in the presence of HP-β-CD and was classified as AL-type, indicating the 1:1 stoichiometric inclusion complexes in aqueous medium. The solid complexes prepared by different methods such as physical mixture, co-grinding method and freeze dried method in 1:1 and 1:2 molar ratio, were characterized by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and X-RD. The dissolution profiles of solid complexes were determined and compared with leflunomide alone and their physical mixture, different mediums such as simulated gastric fluid (pH 1.2) and simulated intestinal fluid (pH 7.4). The dissolution studies showed that, the freeze-dried complex exhibited higher dissolution rates than the drug, in the simulated gastric fluid (SGF pH 1.2) in 1:2 molar ratio
