Multiculturalismo Pop. El caso de los docurealities de viaje con destino Japón

Los docurealities de viajes convierten las formas sociales de un país en un espectáculo televisivo. Sin embargo, detrás de este tipo de programas se esconden una serie de dinámicas asociadas a la estereotipación de las prácticas culturales de un país en concreto. En el caso de Japón estas dinámicas se multiplican tanto por la distancia geográfica como por la diferencia cultural de manera que se muestra una versión que no hace más que redundar en los estereotipos ya existentes sobre este país.Travel docurealities transforms social forms of a country into a television show, but behind this kinds of program we found a series of stereotyping dynamics of cultural practices of a particular country. In the case of Japan these dynamics are multiplied by both geographical distance and the cultural in a way that shows a version of this country that merely result in the existing stereotypes

Fan-made vids: una introducción al vidding, los song vids, el recut, los mash-ups, el fan edit y otros artefactos audiovisuales

Este artículo explora una de las manifestaciones culturales del fandom, los fan-made vids, aplicándoles una base teórica multidisciplinar y, por otro lado, viendo sus orígenes. Una de las razones para este artículo trata de establecer una base a través de la cual se puedan establecer diferentes categorías a la hora de abordar la creación de este tipo de piezas. Esta taxonomía, aun siendo básica, muestra la riqueza de este tipo de manifestaciones que siempre se han movido en espacios underground hasta la llegada de los portales de video a Internet.This paper explores a artistic cultural expression of the fandom, the fan-made vids, first applying a multidisciplinary theoretical basis and on the other hand seeing their origins. Other reason for this paper seeks to establish a base through which different categories can be established to address the creation of such pieces. This basic taxonomy shows us the richness of this kind of practices, which have been considered as underground until the arrival of Internet video sharing websites

El apocalipsis doméstico: el fin del mundo según Jaume Balagueró

Jaume Balagueró's cinematography is directly connected with Adam Parfrey´s  concept of "Apocalypse Culture". It is a very personal vision of the end of the world in everyday life context. This author´s cinema does not show dystopian environments or collapsing societies or major natural disasters, on the contrary, the apocalypse born  indoors. Balagueró builds his peculiar vision of the end of the world from his fondness for the dark and millenarian spirit. His works address from a gloomy and ugliness aesthetics more rooted in human society such as death, ancestral rites, as something immovable, the pursuit of primal evil as overcoming of conventional religions. This paper aims to analyze the aesthetic, discursive and stylistic constacts that define the Jaume Balagueró´s cinema as apocalypse films, in which converge the classic and modern into what we call the Nova Escola de Barcelona
