This study investigated attitude and knowledge of secondary students with hearing impairment towards entrepreneurship. The main goal was to know the depth of their knowledge and attitude in becoming entrepreneurial in line with millennium development goals. A sample of 124 students with hearing impairment was selected through purposive sampling from Ijokodo High School and Methodist Grammar School in Ibadan. Three research questions and one hypothesis were raised and tested. A questionnaire tagged Entrepreneurial Inventory (EI) was used for data collection. Descriptive statistics and chi-square were the major statistical tools employed in data analysis. The findings revealed high entrepreneur knowledge and positive attitude among the participants, no significant influence of knowledge on attitude of the participants and no significant difference in entrepreneurship knowledge and attitude of students with hearing impairment to entrepreneurship. The findings showed that people with hearing impairment in Nigeria have started changing the age long orientation of total dependence to independent living. Based on the findings from the study, it was recommended that disabled micro-credit facility should be established to take care of their financial needs. They should be encouraged if exceptional performance in small scale business has been demonstrated over time. Entrepreneurship education should be made a core curriculum for people with special needs as these will further encourage their economic independence. Keywords: Attitude, Knowledge, Students, Hearing impairment, Entrepreneurshi

Entanglement fidelity for electron-electron interaction in strongly coupled semiclassical plasma and under external fields

This paper presents the effects of AB-flux field and electric field on electron-electron interaction, encircled by a strongly coupled semiclassical plasma. We found that weak external fields are required to perpetuate a low-energy elastic electron-electron interaction in a strongly coupled semiclassical plasma. The entanglement fidelity in the interaction process has been examined. We have used partial wave analysis to derive the entanglement fidelity. We found that for a weak electric field, the fidelity ratio for electron-electron interaction increase as projectile energy increase but remains constant or almost zero for a strong electric field. Our results provide an invaluable information on how the efficiency of entanglement fidelity for a low-energy elastic electron-electron interaction in a strongly coupled semiclassical plasma can be influenced by the presence of external fields

Introduction: Assertiveness is an important behaviour for today’s professional nurse. As nurses move away from traditional subservient roles and perceived stereotypes, it is increasingly being recognized that a nurse needs to behave in an assertive way. The study investigated the influence of Assertiveness Training in enhancing interpersonal skills among selected nurses attending mandatory continuing professional development programme (MCPDP).Methodology: - The sample consisted of one hundred and twenty nurses randomly selected, from the clustered population of nurses attending MCPDP in Osun State, Nigeria. A. 3 x 2 factorial design was adopted. The analysis of covariance was used to test two null hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance using SPSS version window 17.Results: - Results indicated that subjects exposed to treatments performed significantly better than the control group on the measures of interpersonal skills i.e. Assertiveness Behaviour inventory; social skill inventory, F (15,304) =  103.41, P<0.0. Conclusion: - It was concluded that the therapeutic technique was effective in enhancing interpersonal skills of the subjects. This work contains dataset of measured activity concentra- tions of 40 K, 238 U, 232 Th and gamma doses at 1 m above the ground level over Beryllium and Gold mining fields in Ifelodun and Moro respectively, Kwara State, North-central Nigeria. A well calibrated Super-Spec (RS-125) gamma spec- trometer was used to carry out these measurements. Mea- surements were carried out manually in 72 randomly se- lected sample points. Statistical analyses of the data were explored to infer potential statistical relationships. The ob- tained dataset is presented for further assessment that can offer insights into the safety state of Ifelodu, Moro and their environs from radiation protection point of view. The data in this study could serve as a substantial baseline radiological data of the region for future monitoring and epidemiology research

Evaluation of Automated Cataloguing System in Academic Libraries in Oyo State Nigeria

This study investigated automated cataloguing system in academic libraries in selected higher institutions in Oyo State Nigeria. The population of the study covered all the forty one (41) professional and para-professional cataloguers working in the cataloguing section. Total enumeration technique was used for data collection. Questionnaire was distributed to all the cataloguers in the selected institutions. Descriptive statistics was used to analysed the data collected. The result of the study revealed that automated cataloguing system saves time taking to catalogue information materials in the libraries. The result of the study also revealed that the selected institutions did not share resources among themselves. The finding of the study revealed that automated cataloguing system made cataloguing of information materials in the libraries faster. Therefore, the study concluded that automated cataloguing system in institutions’ libraries is a desirable one. Hence, the study recommended that in addition to cataloguing section, all other sections in the libraries be automated and provision of information technology tools needed for effective system be made available in the libraries
