Hybrid renewable green energy (solar and wind) configuration is mostly used in a specific situation where the power grid source is not efficient or costly. The ultimate rates associated with power grid source can be minimized through proper equipment sizing and load matching. This research aims to adopt precisely the efficient use of optimization of hybrid green energy system needed for powering base transceiver stations (BTS) for 5G mobile network applications in Akure, Nigeria. A dynamic simulation and optimization were carried out using Hybrid Optimization for Multiple Electric Renewable (HOMER 3.6 pro version) software to properly assess the appropriate level of the net present cost, operating cost per year and the energy cost/kWh. It was found precisely that hybrid renewable energy can be reasonably achieved in the study location. Renewable Hybrid-1 energy system is the optimized configuration in which photovoltaic, wind and conventional energy source| (diesel generator) typically contributed 60%, 30% and 10% of the total energy. These considerably percentages are equivalent to 5696 kWh/yr, 28976 kWh/yr and 9054 kWh/yr respectively. The renewable energy generated from all the hybrid sources can sufficiently satisfy the needed amount by the BTS with a total amount of 65700 kWhr/yr. The effective operation and maintenance cost, net present cost, and total cost of energy per kilowatt were typically₦3.06 million, ₦101 million and ₦118.80 kW/hr respectively. The overall result will produce economically the needed cost effectiveness power system that can positively enhance 5G operation and minimize the level greenhouse gas emissions within the study location. Hybrid-2 was undoubtedly found to be the possible configuration with lowest emission of CO2, but it is economically not cost effective. Keywords: Optimization, Hybrid Renewable Energy Systems (HOMER), Cost Effectiveness, Base transceiver statio

Introduction: Patients’ satisfaction is related to the extent to which general health care needs and condition-specific needs are met. Evaluating to what extent patients are satisfied with health services. In clinically relevance, are the satisfied patients more likely to comply with treatment, take an active role in their own care; to continue using medical care services and stay with  health care providers  (where there are some choices), maintain the use of the specific system and to recommend the services to others. Therefore this study was aimed at assessing the level of satisfaction towards the care renders by health workers to patients receiving ANC in some selected health centers of Ejigbo Local government in Osun state, Nigeria. Methodology: This was a cross-sectional descriptive research conducted among 234 antenatal patients attending the selected health centres between 10th December, 2012 and 11th March, 2013. Multistage sampling technique was employed in the selection of the  health centers while simple random technique was used to select the respondents at each clinic until the calculated  sample size was reached  self-designed instrument consisting of open and closed ended questionnaire was used. The reliability of the instrument was 0.88 using Spearman Brown  coefficient. Results In term of satisfactory level 60.3% related that all the categories of staffers in the various health centers greet them warmly and with dignity, more than half (59.0%) also reported that health workers introduced themselves before attending to them, thereby establishing good rapport. Privacy and confidentiality were reported by 77.4 % of respondents not to be adequate while 48% of respondents felt the waiting time in the facility was long and there was equally a relationship between the level of satisfaction and the interpersonal relationship of health workers. Majority of the respondents (74%) were satisfied with ANC services rendered. There was a relationship between the level of satisfaction and the cleanliness of the facility. Conclusion: it was concluded that stake holder should provide competent health workers at the health centers, consulting room should be provided with the screens and periodic training should be carried out for the health workerss Key Words? The Effect of Marketing Strategies on Corporate Performance of Estate Surveying and Valuation Firms in Kaduna Metropolis of Nigeria

The issue of marketing management has been of little concerned to most real estate surveying and valuation firms in Nigeria in the time past probably because of the limited number of firms jostling for work then. Many of them were of the erroneous opinion that marketing was not more than mere letting or selling of properties and which does not require more than either placing of advertisement in the newspapers or hanging of “for sale” or “to let” boards on such properties to sell or let. It was this erroneous belief which was responsible for the property industry being lagged behind in performance when compared with most other industries especially the consumer goods and service industries. This study is set out to examine marketing strategies being adopted by estate surveying and valuation firms practising in Kaduna metropolis and how such strategies impact their corporate performance. To achieve the objective of the study, structured questionnaires were administered on estate surveying firms operating within the metropolis and the retrieved questionnaires were subsequently analysed with the aid of simple statistical techniques. The study revealed that there is a positive relationship between marketing strategies adopted and corporate performance of the firms. The study recommends the practising estate firms should employ aggressive marketing strategies at driving their products and services with a view to making their existence more known

Impact of Forensic Accounting in the Profitability of Quoted Banks in Nigeria, Case Study of GTBank and TAJ Bank

    Get PDF
This paper examines the impact of forensic accounting on bank profitability in Nigeria using GTBank and TAJ Bank as case studies. A quantitative correlation analysis was conducted on financial data from 2018-2022 to analyze the relationship between spending on forensic accounting initiatives and net income after taxes. The results showed no statistically significant correlation between forensic accounting practices and profitability, suggesting it may not directly impact bottom line financial performance. Potential reasons include costs outweighing benefits, corporate fraud being too low-impact to affect profits, and many other macroeconomic and industry factors playing a bigger role. While counterintuitive, the lack of linear association indicates investments in fraud audits, investigations, and litigation support do not correlate with higher or lower profit levels. Explanations include forensic accounting costs offsetting gains, fraud being too rare to move profits, and interest rates, regulations, leadership decisions, and competition having greater impact. The paper provides an initial analysis but more research is needed using mixed methods on larger samples over longer timeframes to develop a nuanced understanding. Statistical analysis has limitations for these complex business relationships. Further investigation with comparative cases and qualitative insights can advance knowledge on the drivers of bank profitability beyond purely quantitative data

Evaluation of soil chemical and physical properties at the logged forest at Onigambari forest reserve

    S. Soil samples were collected randomly from five locations around the forest at depth of 0- 45cm. Samples of about 500g each were collected in plastic bags and taken to the laboratory for analysis. Results presented shows that sand had the highest % in soil of the area (91.62). Bulk densities were at ranges of (1.43, 1.45 and 1.23g/cm3) at the depth of 0-15, 15-30 and 30-45 respectively. The textural classification for each depth of soil was sandy-loam. Calcium present in the soil ranges between 2.33- 2.60 which is at its lowest and cannot properly support the growth of plant. Magnesium which functions as the central core of the chlorophyll molecule in plant tissue seems to be deficient at each level of the soil depth. Therefore, if Mg is deficient, the shortage of chlorophyll will results in poor and stunted plant growth. Keywords: Decomposed, biomass, bulk density, deficien
