The paper examined academic self-concept as it correlate to use of library resources by undergraduates in Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun. The study employed a correlational survey research design. The population of the study consist of 3,544 undergraduates registered users of Otunba Gbenga Daniel Library, TASUED. Simple random sampling technique was used to select 248 sample from the population. Four research questions and one hypothesis guided the study. The data collected was analyzed using frequency distribution table and percentage for research questions and Pearson Product Moment Correlation was used to test the hypothesis at 0.05 level of significance. The correlational coefficienct (r 0.615) shows a strong relationship between academic self-concept and use of library resources by undergraduates. The study revealed that majority of the undergraduates possess positive self-concept towards their academic; there is high level of utilization of library resources by undergraduates; however the number of registered library users compared to the number of undergraduate students shows non useof library resources by over 70% of the students, the major problems affecting utilization of library resources by undergraduates include; Power outage, insufficient internet access points, obsolete books, delay in receiving requested materials, lack of library orientation, Non-challant attitude of the library staff and short duration of book loan. The study recommended that programmes that will enhance the academic self-concept of students should be organized, library visit should be made compulsory, user education should be enhanced to improve the use of library resources

This study focused on internet self-efficacy, perceived ease of use as correlate of web portal use by final-year undergraduate of Tai Solarin University of Education, IjagunIjebu-Ode Ogun State. A descriptive survey was adopted for this study and the questionnaire was the instrument used ingathering the data. A total of two hundred anD forty-eight (248) questionnaire were distributed and were retrieved and analyzed using frequency, percentages, mean and standard deviation in presenting the results. The study revealed that (χ = 3.61; SD = 0.91) agreed that they can confidently navigate the World Wide Web following the various hyperlinks, (χ = 3.59; SD = 0.88) agreed that  They can confidently visit any website by entering its address on the browser, (χ = 3.80; SD = 1.05) said the student web portal is rigid and inflexible to interact with, while (χ = 3.72; SD = 1.03) saidthey find it easy to navigate from one page to another page when using the student web portal, 214(86.3%) of the respondents agreed that lack of adequate Facilities among other challenges. It was concluded that the level of the internet self-efficacy by final year undergraduates surveyed ishigh. The study gave the following recommendations; the management understudy should ensure that STUDENT WEB PORTAL is well updated to encourage proper utilization of the student web portal, computer literacy should be encouraged among final year undergraduates. Abstract-Divers features of human body are being explored on daily basis for person identification based on their uniqueness to individuals. The use of fingerprint in crime investigation has come to stay, but criminals are getting smarter by protecting their fingerprints from being evidence at a crime scene. Concealing of footprint or shoe print is yet to become popular, some criminals still go bare footed to crime scene. Footprint can be secured and analysed using image processing techniques such as de-noising, image partitioning, pattern matching This research looks at the inimitability of person footprints, should in any circumstance foot prints are found at a scene and are required to suggest a suspect or criminal. Image processing algorithms are employed to analyse barefoot prints in other to establish the uniqueness of the footprints

This paper re-examines the link between financial development and energy consumption in Nigeria both in the long run and the short run. Earlier study reported a negative relationship between financial development and energy consumption in Nigeria which is quite contrary to theoretical expectation and findings for developed and developing economies. The study employed the ARDL Bounds cointegration approach and a sample period of 1971-2014. A significant long-run relationship was confirmed between financial development and energy consumption in Nigeria. It was also deduced that the development of the financial sector exerted positively and significantly on energy demand in the Nigerian economy, both in the short-run and the long-run periods. It is evident that policies aimed at developing the financial sector have direct and far-reaching implications on energy demand in Nigeria. The paper vividly revealed how development in the Nigerian financial sector exerted on energy demand over a period of 40 years

Covid 19 Global Pandemic: The Story So Far

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the current pandemic is caused by a novel coronavirus known as severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS COV-2). This virus was identified in December 2019. Initial cases were identified in Wuhan, China and linked with a popular sea food market. Mode of spread is by droplets or by direct or indirect contact. All over the world, health workers and other individuals have been affected with death recorded on a daily basis from different countries. Fever, cough, myalgia, anosmia, headache, sorethroat, shortness of breath are common presenting symptoms with atypical symptoms seen in older adults with medical comorbidities. Diagnosis is by nucleic acid amplification test. The real time reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (PCR) assay are used for the detection of viral ribonucleic acid, viral sequencing can also be useful to monitor viral genome mutations. Countries all over the world are using different treatment protocols as the disease condition is evolving. Azithromycin and Hydroxychloroquine combination was used in our institution, Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital, Sagamu with positive responses as all the confirmed patients (23) admitted were discharged home. Control of this disease depends on rapid identification of cases, isolation of probable and suspect cases as well as quarantine of contacts. Although the association of this disease with race has not been fully established as almost all races are affected, the contributory factors and causes of the low rate, severity and mortality recorded in the pandemic in sub-saharan Africa so far are yet to be established.
