Junction Conditions and Consequences of Quasi-Spherical Space-Time with Electro-Magnetic Field and Vaidya Matric
In this work the junction conditions between the exterior
Reissner-Nordstrom-Vaidya space-time with the interior quasi-spherical Szekeres
space-time have been studied for analyzing gravitational collapse in the
presence of a magneto-hydrodynamic fluid undergoing dissipation in the form of
heat flow. We have discussed about the apparent horizon and have evaluated the
time difference between the formation of apparent horizon and central
singularity.Comment: 8 latex pages, RevTex style, no figure
Nature of singularity formed by the gravitational collapse in Husain space-time with electromagnetic field and scalar field
In this work, we have investigated the outcome of gravitational collapse in
Husain space-time in the presence of electro-magnetic and a scalar field with
potential. In order to study the nature of the singularity, global behavior of
radial null geodesics have been taken into account. The nature of singularities
formed has been thoroughly studied for all possible variations of the
parameters. These choices of parameters has been presented in tabular form in
various dimensions. It is seen that irrespective of whatever values of the
parameters chosen, the collapse always results in a naked singularity in all
dimensions. There is less possibility of formation of a black hole. Hence this
work is a significant counterexample of the cosmic censorship hypothesis.Comment: 9 pages, 19 figure
Gravitational Collapse in Higher Dimensional Husain Space-Time
We investigate exact solution in higher dimensional Husain model for a null
fluid source with pressure and density are related by the following
relations (i) , (ii) (variable
modified Chaplygin) and (iii) (polytropic). We have studied
the nature of singularity in gravitational collapse for the above equations of
state and also for different choices of the of the parameters and
namely, (i) , constant (generalized Chaplygin), (ii) constant
(modified Chaplygin). It is found that the nature of singularity is independent
of these choices of different equation of state except for variable Chaplygin
model. Choices of various parameters are shown in tabular form. Finally,
matching of Szekeres model with exterior Husain space-time is done.Comment: 12 latex pages, No figure, RevTex styl
Modelling of Optical Detection of Spin-Polarized Carrier Injection into Light-Emitting Devices
We investigate the emission of multimodal polarized light from Light Emitting
Devices due to spin-aligned carriers injection. The results are derived through
operator Langevin equations, which include thermal and carrier-injection
fluctuations, as well as non-radiative recombination and electronic g-factor
temperature dependence. We study the dynamics of the optoelectronic processes
and show how the temperature-dependent g-factor and magnetic field affect the
polarization degree of the emitted light. In addition, at high temperatures,
thermal fluctuation reduces the efficiency of the optoelectronic detection
method for measuring spin-polarization degree of carrier injection into
non-magnetic semicondutors.Comment: 15 pages, 7 figures, replaced by revised version. To appear in Phys.

Mean-field analysis of the q-voter model on networks
We present a detailed investigation of the behavior of the nonlinear q-voter
model for opinion dynamics. At the mean-field level we derive analytically, for
any value of the number q of agents involved in the elementary update, the
phase diagram, the exit probability and the consensus time at the transition
point. The mean-field formalism is extended to the case that the interaction
pattern is given by generic heterogeneous networks. We finally discuss the case
of random regular networks and compare analytical results with simulations.Comment: 20 pages, 10 figure
Complete Genome Sequence Of A Vaccinal Newcastle Disease Virus Strain Isolated From An Owl (rhinoptynx Clamator)
Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico (CNPq)A Newcastle disease virus (NDV) was isolated in chicken embryonated eggs after detection by real-time reverse transcription- PCR (RRT-PCR) from a captive owl swab. The complete genome sequence of APMV-1/Rhinoptynx clamator/Brazil/22516/2009 (APMV-1, avian paramyxovirus type 1) was obtained using Illumina sequencing. Phylogenetic analysis of the complete genome classified the isolate within NDV class II genotype II. © 2016 Van Borm et al.46CNPq, Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e TecnológicoConselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico (CNPq
Conformally flat spacetimes and Weyl frames
We discuss the concepts of Weyl and Riemann frames in the context of metric
theories of gravity and state the fact that they are completely equivalent as
far as geodesic motion is concerned. We apply this result to conformally flat
spacetimes and show that a new picture arises when a Riemannian spacetime is
taken by means of geometrical gauge transformations into a Minkowskian flat
spacetime. We find out that in the Weyl frame gravity is described by a scalar
field. We give some examples of how conformally flat spacetime configurations
look when viewed from the standpoint of a Weyl frame. We show that in the
non-relativistic and weak field regime the Weyl scalar field may be identified
with the Newtonian gravitational potential. We suggest an equation for the
scalar field by varying the Einstein-Hilbert action restricted to the class of
conformally-flat spacetimes. We revisit Einstein and Fokker's interpretation of
Nordstr\"om scalar gravity theory and draw an analogy between this approach and
the Weyl gauge formalism. We briefly take a look at two-dimensional gravity as
viewed in the Weyl frame and address the question of quantizing a conformally
flat spacetime by going to the Weyl frame.Comment: LATEX - 18 page
Bianchi type I space and the stability of inflationary Friedmann-Robertson-Walker space
Stability analysis of the Bianchi type I universe in pure gravity theory is
studied in details. We first derive the non-redundant field equation of the
system by introducing the generalized Bianchi type I metric. This non-redundant
equation reduces to the Friedmann equation in the isotropic limit. It is shown
further that any unstable mode of the isotropic perturbation with respect to a
de Sitter background is also unstable with respect to anisotropic
perturbations. Implications to the choice of physical theories are discussed in
details in this paper.Comment: 5 pages, some comment adde
