The effective performance of any company is determined by the degree of motivation of its staff. In a pandemic, it is important to explore changes in the values and motivational profiles of staff, especially young people. The aim of the paper is to study the internal motives of millennials and Generation Z, to identify modern motivational tools, taking into account the challenges of an unstable global ecosystem. To assess the changes in the motives for work, a questionnaire was used. The survey was conducted (at the end of 2020 and the beginning of 2021) among young people in Kyiv (Ukraine) aged 17-22 (287 people participated), who had previous work experience. All results were proven to be valid. The results of the study showed that changes in the motivational profile of millennials and Generation Z under the influence of restrictive measures due to the pandemic occurred in the range of values of awareness of individuality: motives for maintaining health, balancing life, personal and professional growth came out to be more relevant. Such changes indicate positive opportunities for young people due to high adaptability to changing and unstable conditions, and, on the other hand, they bring challenges for companies – the loss of personnel. The most optimal models will be career-oriented and adaptive with elements of well-being management to motivate millennials and Generation Z

DEFECT ENGINEERING: APPLICATION IN AUTOMATION SYSTEM COMPONENTS PRODUCTION TECHNOLOGICAL PROCESSES

Defect engineering is a field of scientific development that finds application in various fields. At the same time, the goals of using its approaches may differ radically. This article provides an overview of common applications of this concept. The authors propose to use the capabilities of defect engineering in the production of MEMS and MOEMS to predict failures, as well as to make possible changes and adjustments to the technological process.</p&gt

Sustainable futures in the context of architectural design of hospitals

    No full text
The problems of necessity of sustainable and ecological approaches in architectural design of hospitals are raised in the research. The best international experience of designing and operating hospitals designed on the principles of sustainable development is considered. Examples and implementation examples of healthcare institutions integrating energy efficient technologies are analyzed and illustrated: natural ventilation, solar panels, rainwater collection, filtration and reuse of wastewater, greening of the roof and walls, sun protection, aerodynamic volumetric and spatial form. Studying and using the proven experience of the best examples of ecological hospital buildings, recognized and certified at the highest levels of the world institutions for the development of a sustainable future, will allow Ukraine to create the conditions for solving the crisis both in the sphere of health care and in the ecologically preserved environment of the country

Architectural and urban planning system of health care in Germany and the United Kingdom

    No full text
The article deals with the features of the architectural and urban organization of the health care system and the network of medical and preventive institutions of Germany and Great Britain of state and private levels of subordination. The levels of health care delivery and their share in the overall provision of medical services to the population of the countries are examined. The total number of treatment and prevention facilities across countries is analyzed. Particular attention is paid to determining in German and English health care systems the location of a network of child care facilities

Higher education institutions energy efficient methods of functional planning solution

The article determines that the priority factor of energy efficiency at the design stage is the optimal functional and planning solution of educational buildings; established architectural and planning techniques aimed at improving energy efficiency of higher education institutions, including compaction of educational institutions, clear zoning, implementation of compact architectural and planning solutions for educational buildings and structures, blocking in one or adjacent areas of several free economic cooperation with cooperative use of engineers increasing the number of storeys of buildings, the use of underground space and landscaping in the architectural and planning solution of buildings

Is the hospital-park future of the sustainable hospital architecture?

    No full text
The article deals with important issues of the ecological approach to the health care facilities design within the general world's attention to the problem of sustainable development of the urban environment. Taking as the example the innovative foreign experience of implemented projects of medical institutions, as well as design, competitive and conceptual proposals revealed the latest idea of coexistence and harmonization of natural and man-made worlds within the medical environment that meets the challenges and needs of the XXI century. It is the concept of the hospital-park, that synthetically combines the architectural environment, natural environment, as well as man-made oasis and creates the basis for emergent results both in the medical field and in the need for a neat attitude to our planet. The article reveals the possibilities of designing a hospital-park of different stories and in different initial conditions: in a dense urban environment with a minimum size of the construction site, in suburban and peripheral areas of the city

Mobile Robot Position Determining Using Odometry Method

In this article, the authors propose an analysis of the cumulative error of robot movement. We are considering a two-wheeled robot based on an Arduino board with three ultrasonic rangefinders. The position of the mobile robot is calculated using the odometry method. Experiments were carried out on various coatings. And the calculated position of the robot was compared with the real one. When writing a mobile robot control program, it is proposed to take these results into account.</p&gt

Customer Engagement with Universities’ Social Media after COVID-19: EaP Countries Case

    No full text
The current research aims at analyzing the social media activity of the universities in EaP countries. During the COVID-19 pandemic, universities had to transfer their education processes and enrollment campaigns online. University management had to introduce new tools for communication and interaction to ensure the efficacy of cooperation between the university community, students, teaching staff, and other stakeholders. In this research, the authors analyze which factors affected the dynamics and directions of customer engagement with Universities' social media and how. The authors propose a framework to reveal the role of countries’ digital environment, educational environment, and university’s SM activity in increasing ER of university stakeholders during the COVID-19 pandemic on Facebook and Instagram. The authors outline managerial proposals for universities, including analytics-based SM content creation and planning, communicating socially essential issues

AUTOMATIC MACHINE OF PLASTIC BOTTLES AND ALUMINUM CANS COLLECTION FOR RECYCLING

Reduce, reuse, recycle is one of the key directions in the development of science and technology at this time. However, it is not enough to create opportunities for reusing PET containers. It is necessary to create mechanisms that will motivate people to collect and hand over such containers. In this article, we propose the creation of a reverse vending machine, which will issue a monetary reward to a person for handing over PET containers. </p&gt
