Notes on the Palaearctic species of the genus Polylepta Winnertz (Diptera: Mycetophilidae) with a new synonymization
Morphological differences between three Palaearctic species of Polylepta Winnertz — P. borealis Lundström, P. guttiventris (Zetterstedt) and P. zonata (Zetterstedt) — are discussed and detailed genital figures for males and females are given. Polylepta meridionalis Bechev, 1990 is shown to be a junior synonym of Polylepta zonata (Zetterstedt, 1852)
Three new species of Docosia Winnertz (Diptera: Mycetophilidae) from Kazakhstan
Three new species from Sogety Mountains and Charyn Canyon (Kazakhstan), viz. Docosia selini sp. n., D. agnesiana sp. n. and D. sogetensis sp. n., are described and detailed illustrations of male terminalia presented. Morphological differences especially in male terminalia are discussed. A key to the Central Asian species of Docosia is provided
Thereva nobilitata (Diptera, Therevidae) reared from Boletales and Agaricales (Basidiomycota)
Thereva nobilitata (Fabricius) was reared from Chroogomphus rutilus and Cortinarius sp. in Estonia
A new peculiar species of Anaclileia Meunier (Diptera: Mycetophilidae) from Georgia, Transcaucasia
A new fungus gnat species, Anaclileia adjarica sp. n. (Diptera:Mycetophilidae) from Georgia is described, illustrated and discussed. The species represents the first record of the genus from Georgia as well as from whole Caucasus region. The new species is distinguished by the peculiar and unique structure of the male terminalia, especially that of the tergite 9 which includes posterolateral megasetae and a heart-shaped aggregation of small spines. The possible distributional range of the new species is discussed

Redescription of Sciophila nitens Winnertz (Diptera: Mycetophilidae) with a new synonymization
Amycetophilid species Sciophila nitens (Winnertz) is redescribed and removed from synonymy with S. geniculata (Zetterstedt). Diagnostic characters and genital figures are given for both species. Sciophila longua Garrett is found to be a junior synonym of Sciophila nitens (Winnertz)
A Siberian fungus gnat (Diptera: Mycetophilidae) species found in Estonia
The first European record of Exechia inaperta Ostroverkhova, 1979 is presented and its morphological difference from the allied E. exigua Lundström, 1909 is discussed. Diagnostic characters and detailed figures of male terminalia are given for both species. The new finding of E. inaperta in Estonia indicates a possibly disjunct Euro-Siberian distribution pattern of the South-Taiga, also observed in several other species of fungus gnats
Two peculiar new Orfelia Costa species from Georgia (Diptera: Keroplatidae)
Two new Keroplatidae species, Orfelia georgica sp. n. and Orfelia trifida sp. n., are described on the basis of male material collected from Georgia (Caucasus). The two species, representing the first records of the genus in the country, are photographed, their terminalia illustrated and systematics discussed
Harvestmen (Arachnida: Opiliones) in Estonia: results of the Estonian Malaise Trap Project
The species composition of Estonian harvestmen (Opiliones) was revised based on a critical review of published data and examination of the material from the Estonian Malaise Trap Project (EMTP), which is briefly introduced. Four years of collecting (from 2008 to 2011) with “Czech type”Malaise traps from 15 localities throughout Estonia resulted in 4,102 specimens of 9 species. Two of them, Lophopilio palpinalis (Herbst, 1799) and Leiobunum tisciae (Avram, 1968), were found from Estonia for the first time. Combined with reliable published data, the number of harvestmen species known from Estonia is now set at 12. Distribution and habitat preferences of harvestmen in Estonia were examined subjecting the Malaise trapping data to a quantitative analysis using environmental variables recorded for each trap location. Only tree layer density (i.e. the presence of forest as such) was identified as a significant predictor of harvestmen abundance and diversity which indicates a low degree of habitat specificity in boreo-nemoral harvestmen
Strepsiptera species in Estonia
Data on Strepsiptera species in Estonia are presented for the first time. Four species from three families – Elenchus tenuicornis (Kirby, 1815), Halictophagus silwoodensis Waloff, 1981, Halictoxenos tumulorum Perkins, 1918 and Stylops melittae Kirby, 1802 – have been recorded. Collection data and colour photographs for each species are presented and their known distribution and biology briefly discussed. A key to species in Baltic countries and Fennoscandia is provided
