The Linux Operating System and the generality of their various distributions are an interesting proposal in the modern world; many of them promote the Free Software Movement as a way of liberation towards the barriers defined by the proprietary Software. Cuba has been gradually migrating and introducing the free Software (SWL) in society. The Cuban educational processes are heading towards the free Software. We are advocating for the use of  tools in the creation or modification of Softwares aimed at the improvement of education. The total change of the Windows operating system and other related programs for free applications or patents of its own, is a decisive step for national technological sovereignty, but this carries out  the need for a progressive preliminary training for a better understanding and use of the advantages of this type of Software, in addition it has a positive acceptance by users. Therefore, it becomes available to users interested in the subject, a set of exercises in order to develop skills in the use of the Suite Office for Linux and others applications,  contributing to a successful migration.El Sistema Operativo Linux y la generalidad de sus diversas distribuciones constituyen una propuesta interesante en el mundo moderno; muchas de ellas fomentan el Movimiento de Software Libre como modo de liberación ante los obstáculos definidos por el Software propietario. Cuba ha ido paulatinamente migrando e introduciendo el Software Libre (SWL) en la sociedad. Los procesos Educacionales Cubanos se están encaminando hacia el Software Libre. Se está abogando por el empleo de herramientas libre en la creación o modificación de Software dirigidos al perfeccionamiento de la Educación. El cambio total del Sistema Operativo Windows y otros programas afines, por otras aplicaciones libres o de patentes propias, es un paso determinante para la soberanía tecnológica nacional, pero esto lleva consigo la necesidad de una capacitación preliminar progresiva para una mejor comprensión y empleo de las ventajas de este tipo de Software, además de una positiva aceptación por parte de los usuarios; es por ello que se pone a disposición de los usuarios interesados en el tema, un conjunto de ejercicios con el objetivo de desarrollar habilidades en el empleo de la Suite ofimática de Linux y otras de sus aplicaciones, para de esta manera contribuir a una exitosa migración

Net exercises for the efficient use of electronic mails and Internet searchers.

El surgimiento de la Red de Redes ¨Internet¨ ha revolucionado el mundo. Nuevos servicios han surgidos y se han difundido. Uno de estos servicios es el Correo Electrónico. El flujo de información y su constante incremento ha ocasionado la creación de buscadores internacionales, capaces de consultar millones de bases de datos del mundo poseedoras de gran parte de la historia y descubrimientos de  la humanidad.  Se requiere dominio de estas herramientas para su uso eficiente, lamentablemente el desconocimiento de los usuarios lo imposibilita. Es por ello que se ponen a disposición de los usuarios un conjunto de ejercicios con el objetivo de desarrollar habilidades en el uso eficiente de herramientas tan importantes y empleadas en el mundo moderno, tales como el correo electrónico y los buscadores.The development of Internet has changed the world. New services has emerged and spread all over the world. One of these services is the electronic mail.  The information flow and its steady increase has favoured the fulfilment of international searchers, capable to consult millions of database of the world containing a huge part of history and discoverings of mankind. It is required control for the efficient use of these tools; unfortunately the user ignorance makes it difficult.  That is the reason why users count on a set of exercises with the purpose to develop skills for the efficient use of these important tools applied in the modern world, such as the e-mails and searchers

Hiperentorno educativo para el aprendizaje de la asignatura Redes

Introduction: public Health informatization plans have generated new challenges for the preparation of health professionals. The subject Nets constitutes a milestone for giving solution to this need.Objective: to make an educative software based on the basic aspects referred to computer nets to facilitate the teaching learning process in the subject Nets from the Career Health Information Systems at the filial of medical sciences from Bayamo, Granma.Methods: there were used as information sources the program of the subject Nets, web sites with similar contents, up-to-dated articles on this topic, videos and images. Also there were used theoretical, empirical and statistical methods. We used the application of Macromedia Dreamweaver 8, images were edited using Adobe Photoshop Cs, and tutorials were made with Macromedia Captivate. Exercises were created using of Hot Potatoes.Results: the hyper-environment has a principal screen from which you can access to the rest of the pages of the software, through different links previously established.  There also offer supporting material for teaching.Conclusions: proposal is applicable because we count with technological and human resources to make it possible. Experts consulted concluded that the hyper-environment is appropriate, and its application can be effective. It can be used as an alternative to improve the quality of the teaching-learning process in the subject Nets.Introducción: los planes de informatización en la Salud Pública han generado nuevos  retos  para  la  preparación  de  los profesionales de la Salud. La asignatura Redes constituye un eslabón fundamental para dar solución a esta necesidad.Objetivo: confeccionar un software educativo sustentado en los aspectos básicos referidos a las redes de computadoras que facilite el proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje de la asignatura Redes de la carrera de Sistemas de Información en Salud en la filial de ciencias médicas de Bayamo, Granma.Métodos: se utilizaron como fuentes de información el programa de la asignatura "Redes", sitios web de contenidos afines, artículos actualizados sobre el tema, videos e imágenes. En el desarrollo de la investigación se emplearon métodos teóricos, empíricos y estadísticos. Se confeccionó con el empleo de la aplicación Macromedia Dreamweaver 8, las imágenes fueron editadas empleando el programa Adobe Photoshop Cs, los videos tutoriales se confeccionaron con la aplicación Macromedia Captivate. Los ejercicios se montaron con ayuda del HotPotatoes.Resultados: el hiperentorno cuenta con una pantalla principal de la cual se puede acceder al resto de las páginas que componen el software, a través de los distintos hipervínculos preestablecidos. Se ofrecen materiales de apoyo a la docencia.Conclusiones: La propuesta es aplicable por cuanto se cuentan con los recursos tecnológicos y humanos para su puesta en práctica. Los expertos consultados concluyeron que el hiperentorno educativo es pertinente y puede ser eficaz su aplicación. Es factible su utilización como alternativa para incrementar la calidad del proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje de la asignatura Redes
