Estado e agricultores familiares: uma análise interpretativa sobre o desenvolvimento rural no Sul de Minas Gerais.

Este trabalho procurou identificar como os atores sociais vinculados à agricultura familiar (lideranças de produtores familiares, profissionais de ciências agrárias, autoridades municipais, pesquisadores e professores universitários) interpretam o papel do Estado para o desenvolvimento dessa categoria na região sul de Minas Gerais. Com relação à coleta de dados, utilizou-se a técnica "focused interview". Os entrevistados foram seledonados pelo método não-probabilístico de amostragem por julgamento. Os resultados revelaram que a interpretação feita pelos entrevistados aproxima-se mais da perspectiva do Estado patrimonialistaburocrático autoritário, tendo em vista que os depoimentos dos entrevistados corroboram com a reprodução das relações de dependência dos agricultores familiares em relação ao Estado. Por outro lado, alguns atores reconhecem a necessidade de mecanismos que incentivem a participação social, no entanto, salientaram que a mobilização dos produtores familiares na região ainda é incipiente e desarticulada

Emissary Foramens Of The Human Skull: Anatomical Characteristics And Its Relations With Clinical Neurosurgery [forámenes Emisarios Del Cráneo Humano: Características Anatómicas Y Sus Relaciones Con La Neurocirugía Clínica]

The recognition of emissary foramens is important not only for understanding the regional neurovascular anatomy, but also to distinguish normal from potentially abnormal structures. Thus, the aim of this study was to review the literature on anatomical and clinical aspects of the mastoid, parietal and sphenoid emissary foramens. It was found that the emissary foramen presents importance in clinical practice because it acts as a route of spread of extracranial infection to the intracranial structures and also possible complications in neurosurgery, due to its influence in the performance of techniques such as radiofrequency rhizotomy for treatment of trigeminal neuralgia. Cdte Quantum Dots By Melt Heat Treatment In Borosilicate Glasses

CdTe quantum dots in borosilicate glasses were produced and their growth kinetics, the effects of quantum confinement for electrons and phonons and the time resolved optical transmission were studied. Quantum dots in the range of 10 to 25 Å with a 5% size dispersion were grown. The growth kinetics were studied by small angle X-ray scattering using synchrotron light. A spherical k · p model for the electron confinement explains absorption data and selection rules, and a dielectric continuum model for the phonon confinement could explain the resonant longitudinal and surface optical phonons, as well as their overtone combinations. The time response of absorption was studied by a pump-probe measurement on the femtosecond time scale. For samples showing a large amount of surface traps the recovery time can be as fast as 300 fs, while for an almost surface trap free sample it remains on the 1-3 ps time scale. © 1997 Elsevier Science B.V.219205211Efros, A.L., Efros, A.L., (1982) Sov. Cidadania ou "estadania" na gestão pública brasileira?

O processo de democratização brasileira ocorreu de uma forma bem diferente da vivenciada por outros países, como Estados Unidos da América e França. Nesse sentido, o objetivo deste artigo teórico é apresentar os elementos centrais sobre democracia e cidadania e demonstrar como a formação histórica do Estado brasileiro impulsionou o fortalecimento de uma "estadania" nacional em detrimento da cidadania. Demonstrou-se que a formação do Estado brasileiro é um entrave para a consolidação da cultura cívica, pois não consegue desenvolver os direitos sociais, políticos e civis como apresentados por Marshall. Assim, o que se percebe é que o exercício da democracia não é uma tarefa fácil, porém, para uma nação evoluir em termos de participação efetiva dos cidadãos, os mesmos precisam participar do processo. No Brasil, nota-se prevalência de ações que conferem maior poder ao Estado, como responsável pela estruturação e desenvolvimento da vida social. Portanto, prevalece em nossa nação a "estadania", visto a ausência de uma cultura cívica, cabendo aos atores não estatais um papel de coadjuvantes no processo. Por outro lado, mudanças relacionadas à democratização mais efetiva do Estado e à democratização da própria democracia fazem-se necessárias
