The development of a position-sensitive CZT detector with orthogonal co-planar anode strips
We report on the simulation, construction, and performance of prototype CdZnTe imaging detectors with orthogonal coplanar anode strips. These detectors employ a novel electrode geometry with non-collecting anode strips in one dimension and collecting anode pixels, interconnected in rows, in the orthogonal direction. These detectors retain the spectroscopic and detection efficiency advantages of single carrier (electron) sensing devices as well as the principal advantage of conventional strip detectors with orthogonal anode and cathode strips, i.e. an N×N array of imaging pixels are with only 2N electronic channels. Charge signals induced on the various electrodes of a prototype detector with 8×8 unit cells (1×1×5 mm3)are compared to the simulations. Results of position and energy resolution measurements are presented and discussed
Analog processing of signals from a CZT strip detector with orthogonal coplanar anodes
We present the requirements, design, and performance of an analog circuit for processing the non-collecting anode strip signals from a cadmium zinc telluride (CZT) strip detector with orthogonal coplanar anodes. Detector signal simulations and measurements with a prototype are used to define the range of signal characteristics as a function of location of the gamma interaction in the detector. The signals from the non- collecting anode strip electrodes are used to define two of the three spatial coordinates including the depth of interaction, the z dimension. Analog signal processing options are discussed. A circuit to process the signals from the non- collecting anode strips and extract from them the depth of interaction is described. The circuit employs a time-over- threshold (TOT) measurement. The performance of the detector prototype with a preliminary version of this circuit is presented, and future development work is outlined
Energy and position resolution of a CdZnTe gamma-ray detector with orthogonal coplanar anodes
We report on the simulation, construction and performance of prototype CZT imaging detectors employing orthogonal coplanar anodes. These detectors employ a novel electrode geometry with non-collecting anode strips in 1D and collecting anode pixels, interconnected in rows, in the orthogonal dimensions. These detectors retain the spectroscopic and detection efficiency advantages of single carried charge sensing devices as well as the principal advantage of conventional strip detectors with orthogonal anode and cathode strips, i.e. an N X N array of imagin pixels are realized with only 2N electronic channels. Charge signals induced on the various electrodes of a prototype detector with 8 X 8 unit cells are in good agreement with the simulations. The position resolution is about 1 mm in the direction perpendicular to the pixel lines while it is of the order of 100 micrometers in the other direction. Energy resolutions of 0.9 percent at 662 keV, 2.6 percent at 122 keV and 5.7 percent at 60 keV have been obtained at room temperature
Hubungan Status Gizi Dengan Gout Arthritis Pada Lanjut Usia Di Puskesmas Wawonasa Manado
:Gout Arthritis is a disease that occurs due to a chronic increase in uric acid concentration I in plasma. Gout is a buildup of uric acid in the body and abnormalities in purine metabolism. Nutritional status is a state body that is the end result of a balance between nutrients into the body and utilasinya. Nutritional status is a state of the body as a result of food consumption and use of nutrients. The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is a relationship with gouty arthritis nutritional status of the elderly in Puskesmas Wawonasa Manado. The study design was observational analytic method with cross sectional design. The population in this study were all elderly who visit the health center Wawonasa Manado. Samples in this study using a sampling technique is determined purposively (purposive sampling). The sample was total population of 60 people with the details of 45 women and 15 men. The data is processed using univariate and bivariate by using SPSS (Statistic Program for Social Science) through Chi Square calculation at 95% significance level (á0,05). Results of this study showed no association between nutritional status and gouty arthritis because the value obtained ñ 0.048. The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between nutritional status and gouty arthritis in the elderly in Puskesmas Wawonasa Manado. Suggestions in this study for the elderly are advised to check regularly gouty arthritis / once a month
Symmetry of Traveling Wave Solutions to the Allen-Cahn Equation in \Er^2
In this paper, we prove even symmetry of monotone traveling wave solutions to
the balanced Allen-Cahn equation in the entire plane. Related results for the
unbalanced Allen-Cahn equation are also discussed
Oral low-dose naltrexone in the treatment of grontal fibrosing alopecia and lichen planopilaris: An uncontrolled open-label prospective study
Background Frontal fibrosing alopecia (FFA) and lichen planopilaris (LPP) is scarring alopecias with limited evidence supporting their treatment options. We investigated the use of low-dose naltrexone (3 mg oral daily) as adjunctive therapy in the treatment of FFA and LPP. Methods A single-center, uncontrolled open-label prospective study was performed, with 26 patients who took low-dose naltrexone for one year included in the per-protocol analysis. Both patient-reported (pruritus and burning/pain) and physician-assessed (erythema, scale, and scalp involvement) outcomes were analyzed. Results There were decreases in erythema and scale for the overall longitudinal outcomes using linear mixed effects model analysis. However, only erythema had a significant decrease at 12 months compared with baseline. Mean erythema decreased by 0.93 at 12 months compared with baseline on a 0-3-point scale (p\u3c0.0001, 95% mean CI [-1.32, -0.53]). There was no statistically significant difference comparing 12 months to baseline for the other outcomes including pruritus, burning/pain, and scalp involvement. Limitations include the possibility of spontaneous stabilization, concurrent medications, a small sample size with limited racial diversity, and mild subjective symptoms at baseline. Conclusion Our study supports further investigation of oral low-dose naltrexone as adjunctive therapy in the treatment of FFA and LPP if there is prominent erythema, and possibly scale
