DeeDP: vulnerability detection and patching based on deep learning

    Get PDF
We present the DeeDP system for automatic vulnerabilities detection and patch providing. DeeDP allows to detect vulnerabilities in C/C++ source code and generate patch for fixing detected issue. This system uses deep learning methods to organize rules for deciding whether a code fragment is vulnerable. Patch generation processes can be performed based on neural network and rule-based approaches. The system uses the abstract syntax tree (AST) representations of the source code fragments. We have tested effectiveness of our approach on different open source projects. For example, Microsoft/Terminal (https://github.com/microsoft/Terminal) was analyzed with DeeDP: our system detected security issue and generated patch which was successfully approved and applied by Microsoft maintainers

Синельникова А. О.

Microwave radiothermometry in the diagnosis and evaluation of the neoadjuvant treatment of patients with breast cancer

    No full text
Microwave mammography permits thermal changes to be estimated both within the breast and onto its surface. It is obvious that ireplace X-ray mammography or ultrasonography (USG) since it gives no information on breast structural changes, which is very nefor a physician. At the same time microwave mammography can yield additional information on the magnitude of proliferative processes and on the thermal activity of tissue. In many cases, this information may be decisive in elaborating treatment policy.Due to its simplicity , non-invasiveness, and safety , decimetric microw ave radiothermometry may be a promising method for diagno sing breast cancer and evaluating the efficiency of its treatment. When used in combination with X-ray study and USG, this technique provides incomparable assistance in defining the management of patients. The concurrent use of mammography , USG, and radiothermometric d iag- nosis of the breast assists in reducing the level of diagnostic errors to 1-3%

Specifics of Using Image Processing Techniques for Blood Smear Analysis

The process of medical diagnosis is an important stage in the study of human health. One of the directions of such diagnostics is the analysis of images of blood smears. In doing so, it is important to use different methods and analysis tools for image processing. It is also important to consider the specificity of blood smear imaging. The paper discusses various methods for analyzing blood smear images. The features of the application of the image processing technique for the analysis of a blood smear are highlighted. The results of processing blood smear images are presented

    PACHYDERMODACTYLY IN A RHEUMATOLOGIST'S PRACTICE

    No full text
Pachydermodactyly is a rare form of fibromatosis, which is characterized by an asymptomatic soft tissue enlargement around the proximal interphalangeal (PIP) joints of the hand. The etiology of the disease is unknown. Its possible triggers are recurrent minimal trauma, a habit or compulsive need to intertwine or rub the fingers. Spindle-shaped finger deformation with soft tissue thickening around the PIP joints mimics the clinical presentation of juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA). The distinctive features may be the absence of morning stiffness, contractures, pain, inflammatory and immunological changes in blood tests; however, it is the opinion of a number of authors that pachydermodactyly can be correctly diagnosed only after morphological examination. The paper gives the clinical manifestations of the disease and approaches to its diagnosis and differential diagnosis. It also describes the results of a retrospective study of 5 patients diagnosed as having pachydermodactyly. The final diagnosis was established after laboratory, instrumental, and morphological studies. Specific therapy has not been elaborated; however, by taking into account possible precipitating factors, excessive trauma of the affected finger bone should be avoided. The timely recognition of the disease allow to avoid administration of aggressive antirheumatic therapy required for JIA
