The article is devoted to the estimation of morphological changes in liver of experimental animals with acute hepatic failure caused by toxic injury of liver under the influence of xenotransplantation of culture of cryopreserved cells of liver and isolated cryopreserved neonatal hepatocytes. It was determined that undamaged hepatocytes with simultaneous decrease of number of vacuolated cells, preservation. of beam structure, decrease of fat insertions prevailed in the liver of animals with xenotransplantation of culture of cryopreserved cells of liver to the 6th day. At the transplantation of isolated neonatal hepatocytes number of hepatocytes with undamaged structure decreased and number of damaged hepatocytes increased. Thus, cultivated cryopreserved cells of liver are the cells of choice of correction of acute toxic liver injury

Purpose: The purpose of the article is to substantiate the modern directions to overcome the influence of the professional deformation of General education teachers. Methodology: The article describes the results of experimental work in the framework of the project aimed at the study of modern approaches to assessing the quality of education and its relationship with the overall educational results. Example of the training course module for teachersā€™ additional professional education, the purpose of which is the development of modern directions to prevent professional deformation. Result: The possibilities for supporting the positive psycho-emotional state of the teacher, teaching the practices to overcome subjectivity in making evaluation decisions - the interiorization of the teacher deontological code are revealed. Applications: This research can be used for universities, teachers, and students. Novelty/Originality: In this research, the model of the Modern Directions for Prevention of Destructive Influence of Teacher Professional Deformation is presented in a comprehensive and complete manner

Optimization of minimum set of proteinā€“DNA interactions: a quasi exact solution with minimum over-fitting

    Get PDF
Motivation: A major limitation in modeling protein interactions is the difficulty of assessing the over-fitting of the training set. Recently, an experimentally based approach that integrates crystallographic information of C2H2 zinc fingerā€“DNA complexes with binding data from 11 mutants, 7 from EGR finger I, was used to define an improved interaction code (no optimization). Here, we present a novel mixed integer programming (MIP)-based method that transforms this type of data into an optimized code, demonstrating both the advantages of the mathematical formulation to minimize over- and under-fitting and the robustness of the underlying physical parameters mapped by the code

On the Complexity of Query Result Diversification

Query result diversification is a bi-criteria optimization problem for ranking query results. Given a database D, a query Q and a positive integer k, it is to find a set of k tuples from Q(D) such that the tuples are as relevant as possible to the query, and at the same time, as diverse as possible to each other. Subsets of Q(D) are ranked by an objective function defined in terms of relevance and diversity. Query result diversification has found a variety of applications in databases, information retrieval and operations research. This paper studies the complexity of result diversification for relational queries. We identify three problems in connection with query result diversification, to determine whether there exists a set of k tuples that is ranked above a bound with respect to relevance and diversity, to assess the rank of a given k-element set, and to count how many k-element sets are ranked above a given bound. We study these problems for a variety of query languages and for three objective functions. We establish the upper and lower bounds of these problems, all matching, for both combined complexity and data complexity. We also investigate several special settings of these problems, identifying tractable cases. 1

    Alternative treatment of over-erupted teeth

    No full text
Teeth not exposed to chewing forces have a capacity for physiological tooth movement or tooth migration. The erupting tooth will erupt until it reaches occlusal contact and the final positioning of the teeth depends on the equilibrium between forces e. g. forces from the occlusion, tongue, lips and eruption. Therefore, overeruption is accommodation process. There are several methods to treat the disease: the intrusion by means of orthodontics appliances, selective alveolar corticotomy for intruding overerupted teeth, prosthetic crowns, tooth extraction. Surgical or orthodontic therapy may be inconvenient and they are not always as effective as desired. Available prosthetic options for restoration of occlusion include selective root canal treatment with invasive tooth reduction to reconstruct the occlusal plane and make enough places for porcelain fused to metal crowns. The alternative treatment was proposed by department of prosthodontics of Peoples' Friendship University of Russia. The only destroyed tooth is restored by ceramo-composite pinlay, thus making no changes in occlusion line. The indications for this method: orthodontic therapy is not effective, no blockage of jaw motions, no pathologic changes in temporomandibular joints
