Precursor-Directed Assembly of Complex Oxide Nanobeads: The Role of Strongly Coordinated Inorganic Anions
International audienceThe use of an inorganic perrhenate ligand in the structure of early-transition-metal alkoxide precursors permits to achieve uniform self-assembly of the primary nanoparticles produced by their hydrolysis. The latter has been carried out in a hydrocarbon reaction medium by the addition of water with vigorous stirring, either in the pure form or in solutions in parent alcohols. The self-assembly is guided by the surface charge enhanced by the presence of strongly coordinated anions as determined by zeta potential measurements. The aggregation process has been followed in real time by nanoparticle tracking analysis (Nano Sight technique). The reaction products are spherical aggregates with a size that can be efficiently controlled through the polarity of the reaction medium. The produced nanobeads have been characterized by TEM, SEM-EDS, DLS, nitrogen adsorption, and FTIR The coordination of metal centers has been investigated using EXAFS spectroscopy. The aggregates remain amorphous on thermal treatment of up to 700 degrees C (24 h treatment) but crystallin when treated at 1000 degrees C. This latter process is associated with the total loss of rhenium content and offers early-transition-metal oxides as products

A study of the tautomerism of the N-alkyl-3-methoxycarbonyl-4-piperidinones and their hydrochlorides
The positions of the equilibria of N-alkyl-3-methoxycarbonyl-4-piperidinones in the liquid state, in water, in alcohols, and in CCl4 have been determined by IR and UV spectroscopy. It has been shown that Meyer's equation is not satisfied for them. This is due to the high steric requirements of the solvating electron pair of the nitrogen atom. On the basis of the fact that on passing from the methyl ester of cyclohexan-1-one-2-carboxylic acid to the N-alkyl-3-methoxycarbonyl-4-piperidones the position of the equilibrium in the liquid state and in CCl4 does not shift in the direction of the enol it is deduced that the spatial requirements of the free electron pair of the nitrogen atom do not appreciably exceed the steric requirements of the hydrogen atom. The IR and UV spectra of the chlorides of the N-alkyl-3-methoxycarbonyl-4-piperidinones in the solid state and in water and in alcohols are given. © 1971 Consultants Bureau
A study of the tautomerism of the N-butyl-4(2)-methoxycarbonyl-pyrrolid-3-ones and their hydrochlorides
The tautomerism of N-butyl-2-methoxycarbonyl-4-methylpyrrolid-3-one (I), N-butyl-4-methoxycarbonylpyrrolid-3-one (II), N-butyl-4-methoxycarbonyl-2-methylpyrrolid-3-one (III), N-butyl-4-methoxycarbonylpyrrolid-3-one hydrochloride (IV), and N-butyl-4-methoxy-carbonyl-2-methylpyrrolid-3-one hydrochloride (V) has been studied by UV and IR spectroscopy. It has been found that the esters I-V are highly ionized in aqueous and ethanolic solutions at concentrations of 10-2-10-3 M. On passing from methyl cyclopentran-1-one-2-carboxylate to the esters II and III the position of the equilibrium in heptane and CCl4 shifts in the direction of the keto form. On passing from the esters II and III to the esters IV and V, the position of the equilibrium shifts in the direction of the enol. Meyer's relationship is not satisfied for the esters II and III, while it is satisfied for the esters IV and V. Hypotheses have been put forward on the causes of the phenomena mentioned. © 1972 Consultants Bureau
Study of the bipolar jet of the YSO Th 28 with VLT/SINFONI: Jet morphology and H emission
The YSO Th 28 possesses a highly collimated jet, which clearly
exhibits an asymmetric brightness of its jet lobes at optical and NIR
wavelengths. There may be asymmetry in the jet plasma parameters in opposite
jet lobes (e.g. electron density, temperature, and outflow velocity).
We examined the Th 28 jet in a 3"x3" where the jet material is collimated and
accelerated. Our goal is to map the morphology and determine its physical
parameters to determine the physical origin of such asymmetries. We
present -spectra of Th 28 obtained with the SINFONI on the (VLT, ESO) in
June-July 2015. The [Fe II] emission originates in collimated jet
lobes. Two new axial knots are detected at 1" in the blue lobe and 1".2 in the
red lobe. The H radiation is emitted from an extended region with a radius
of au, which is perpendicular to the jet. The PV diagrams of the
bright H lines reveal faint H emission along both jet lobes as well.
The compact and faint H I emission (Pa and Br) comes from two
regions, namely from a spherical region around the star and from the jet lobes.
The size of the jet launching region is derived as 0".015 (3 au at 185
pc), and the initial opening angle of the Th 28 jet is , which makes
this jet substantially less collimated than most jets from other CTTs.
The emission in [Fe II], H, and H I lines suggests a
morphology in which the ionised gas in the disc appears to be disrupted by the
jet. The resolved disc-like H emission most likely arises in the disc
atmosphere from shocks caused by a radial uncollimated wind. The asymmetry of
the [Fe II] photocentre shifts with respect to the jet source arises in the
immediate vicinity of the driving source of Th28 and suggests that the observed
brightness asymmetry is intrinsic as well.Comment: 18 pages, 14 figure
Vaccination of patients with diabetes mellitus
Diabetes mellitus stays an important medical, economic and social problem worldwide. Infectious diseases in people with diabetes mellitus are often more severe with an increased frequency of hospitalizations and complications. The presence of chronic hyperglycemia leads to decreased immune function and an increased predisposition to infections. Infections lead to uncontrolled hyperglycemia, which worsens the course of infections, thus forming a vicious circle of violations.Mass vaccination with an emphasis on people belonging to the high-risk group reduces the number of infected and, hospitalized people, and also has clear economic advantages. However, in many countries the proportion of vaccinated remains low.Vaccine prophylaxis in Russia is regulated by a number of regulatory legal acts, of which the main one is Federal Law No. 157-FZ of September 17, 1998 (edited on July 2, 2021) «About Immunoprophylaxis of Infectious Diseases». Each country has a National Vaccination Schedule, which shows a routine vaccination schedule at a specific age against infections that are widespread and / or pose a serious threat to health and life), as well as a National Epidemic Indication Vaccination Schedule. In Russia, these documents are approved by Order of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation of March 21, 2014 N 125n «About the approval of the national calendar of preventive vaccinations and the calendar of preventive vaccinations for epidemic indications.»This article discusses vaccination against the most socially significant infections associated with a high worldwide prevalence and increased risk among people with diabetes

The dipole moments and molar Kerr constants of 2-chloro-5,5-dimethyl-2-chloro-, and 4-methyl-2-chloro-1,3,2-dioxaphosphorinanes were determined. It was found that a chair conformation with an equatorial p-Cl bond is realized in all cases. © 1974 Consultants Bureau, a division of Plenum Publishing Corporation
Slowly evolving, immune-mediated diabetes in 14-year-old patient: a case report
Slowly developing immune-mediated diabetes, often called latent autoimmune diabetes in adults, is characterized by the presence of autoantibodies (ATs) to glutamic acid decarboxylase (GADA), the patient's age at the onset over 35 years, and the absence of the need for insulin therapy for 6-12 months to 6 years from the moment of diagnosis, according to the WHO classification of 2019, refers to hybrid forms of diabetes mellitus (DM). In this article, we present a case history of slowly developing immune-mediated diabetes in a 14-year-old boy who was transferred from metformin monotherapy and a diet with restriction of digestible carbohydrates to the intensified insulin therapy only 4 years after the onset of diabetes mellitus with a glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) level of less than 6.5% throughout the disease. As a result of the studies, the patient was found to have a homozygous genotype highly predisposing to the development of Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus (T1DM), as well as increased levels of ATs to GADA and tyrosine phosphatase (IA-2A). The initially preserved level of basal C-peptide and the clinical course of the disease in this patient do not allow us to classify this case as a classic variant of the course of Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus
