Inventori Data Antropometri Untuk Reka Bentuk Produk Sensori Kanak-Kanak Cerebral Palsy

Dalam bidang ergonomik, data antropometri dapat digunakan dan diaplikasikan dalam reka bentuk produk dan juga digunakan untuk mengembangkan proses reka bentuk. Penyelidikan ini dilakukan adalah untuk mengkaji aplikasi data antropometri dalam reka bentuk produk untuk kanak-kanak berkeperluan khas. Penyelidikan ini memfokuskan pada pengukuran antropometri tangan kanak-kanak dengan Cerebral Palsy (CP). Pada masa ini tiada data antropometri yang khusus untuk kanak-kanak Cerebral Palsy (CP) di Malaysia. Justeru itu, objektif penyelidikan ini adalah untuk mengaplikasikan dan menganalisis data antropometri kanak-kanak Cerebral Palsy (CP) yang berumur 12 bulan hingga 15 tahun dalam reka bentuk produk. Analisis data menggunakan kaedah statistik deskriptif yang menghasilkan nilai min, peratusan, dan sisihan piawai untuk pemboleh ubah antropometri. 30 orang kanak-kanak dengan Cerebral Palsy (CP) terlibat dalam kajian ini dan 19 dimensi tangan telah diukur. Responden diberitahu terlebih dahulu bahawa penyelidikan ini adalah untuk menghasilkan pangkalan data antropometri yang dapat digunakan untuk membangunkan reka bentuk produk yang bersesuaian bagi kanak-kanak Cerebral Palsy (CP). Special education for children with disabilities have been a major topic of discussion not only among the educators but also catches the parents attention that concern a lot for the future of their disability children. However, the learning process for children that suffer from blindness are different from the others. These children need the use of their senses of touch to further improve their knowledge about the surroundings. Plus, this technique of learning consume a lot of time and experience in order for them to apply it in a very long term. An Anthropometric Measurement Of Cerebral Palsy Children For Developing Product Design

In ergonomics fields, anthropometric data can be used and applied in product design and used to develop design process. The research was conducted to study application of anthropometric data in product design for children with special needs. The research focused on anthropometric measurement of the children’s hand with cerebral palsy. However, no specific data of cerebral palsy (CP) children in Malaysian that could be obtained. The objective of this research is to apply and analyze an anthropometric database of cerebral palsy children (aged 12 month – 15 years old) for product design. The data analyze is using descriptive statistic method producing mean, percentiles and standard deviation (S.D) value for anthropometric variables. 30 children with cerebral palsy are involved in this study and 19 hand dimensions have been measured. The subject was informed before data collection started, that the study was to develop an anthropometric database which can be used to improve product design or other ergonomic consideration for cerebral palsy.
