    U ovome članku opisano je tumačenje dokaza i davanje nalaza i miÅ”ljenja u postupku vjeÅ”tačenja na iskazanu sumnju obrane u dokaze, činjenice ili okolnosti kaznenog djela u sudskom postupku iz prakse vjeÅ”taka. U ponovnom postupku vjeÅ”tačenja, vjeÅ”taci Centra razjasnili su svaku sumnju u izuzete i evidentirane dokaze i utvrđene činjenice primijenivÅ”i znanstvene standarde koji su pomogli sudu u odlučivanju na razuman i logičan način u postupku kaznenog djela.This article describes the interpretation of evidence and the provision of findings and opinions in the expert examination procedure on the expressed suspicion of the defense in the evidence, facts or circumstances of the criminal act in court proceedings based on the practice of the expert witnesses. In the re-examination procedure, the Centerā€™s experts clarified all the doubts about the excluded and recorded evidence and established facts by applying scientific standards that helped the court in deciding in a reasonable and logical manner in criminal proceedings

    U ovome stručnom radu obrađena je tema vezana za forenzičnu balistiku i to identifikaciju mehaničkih tragova vatrenog oružja uz pomoć suvremenih balističkih identifikacijskih sustava (BIS). Iako je danas postignut značajan napredak u razvoju balističkih identifikacijskih sustava, ipak nije postignut takav krajnji stupanj njihovog razvoja koji bi mogao služiti pri validiranju rezultata subjektivne metode identifikacije mehaničkih tragova na ispaljenim čahurama i zrnima streljiva. Tako su u suvremenim i vrhunski opremljenim forenzičnim laboratorijima ispitivači koji posjeduju iskustvo i znanje i dalje ključ u razdvajanju točaka eliminacije i identifikacije mehaničkih tragova vatrenog oružja. Balistički identifikacijski sustav "CONDOR Intelligent" predstavljen je u ovom radu kao sustav od velike pouzdanosti te pomoći u rjeÅ”avanju problema dugotrajnog ispitivanja i pregledavanja velikog broja uzoraka (ispaljenih čahura, zrna streljiva i njihovih dijelova) u radnim zbirĀ¬kama nerijeÅ”enih predmeta kao i uzoraka u zbirkama čahura i zrna streljiva probno ispaljenog iz raznog vatrenog oružja.During a period of five months BIS CONDOR Intelligent was used for comparison and autoidentification of bullets flred from knovvn different kind of firearms from our collection in three different calibers: .22 long rifle, 7,65 mm Browning and 9 mm Luger. Bullets were scanned in two different modes. After scanning autoidentincation procedure was performed within different firearms systems and evaluation of the results of autoidentification was done. In order to test the system in "real" casevvork and see the practical valne of the system different "unknown" samples of bullets were given to three experts and they were asked to identify the firearms system and the firearms that were used to fire the "unknown" samples

    U ovom su članku opisani osnovni kriteriji za identifikaciju mehaničkih tragova alata i vatrenog oružja, povijesni razvoj konzervativnoga kvantitativnog kriterija za identifikaciju te njegov trenutni status u svijetu. Također je prikazan praktičan primjer primjene brojenja slijednih linija pri identifikaciji mehaničkih tragova (engl. Consecutive matching striated - CMS) i potvrda CMS teorije identifikacije u praksi. Cilj je potaknuti ispitivače da u svom radu elaboriraju objektivna opažanja koja podupiru nalaze ispitivanja tragova alata, te da budu konzervativni u značajnosti opažanja.In this article are described the basic criteria for mechanical toolmarks and firearms identification as well as a historical development of conservative quantitative criteria for identification and his current vrorld status. It is also shown a practical example of Consecutive Matching Striations (CMS) numeration appliance upon to mechanical marks identification as well as practical conformation of CMS identification theory. The intention is to encourage the examiners to elaborate their objective observations which support the results of toolmarks examinations and to be conservative in the importance of the observations
