In this study of a curriculum designed for rhythm-based dance, we consciously considered the stage of the participants’ development and the characteristics of rhythmic play, and practiced using "rhythm" and "expression" as keywords. As a result, the following points became clear. (1) The use of onomatopoeia, such as clapping and "don", which are frequently used on a daily basis, was effective in training the rhythmic feeling in lower grades. (2) Proceeding with the selection of songs, selecting songs with a BPM(Beat Per Minute) of about 100, is effective in training lower- and higher-grade children as it allows them to feel the rhythm of the music. (3) Junior high school students tend to have a higher interest in complex rhythms, and tend to learn the rhythms by imitating sample images from ICT equipment. (4) The “step acquisition” that triggers the movement and the activities that allow the children to express themselves and led to widespread improvisation among the younger children. (5) In higher-grade children, expressions of originality created new perspectives on concrete expressions of space, time, and power. (6) In junior high school students, improvised dance is performed through activities such as choreography, strength, strength, body angle, facial expression, and formation through activities that imitate sample images using ICT equipment. It is thought that it became possible

Long-term Measurements of Traffic Load Induced Settlement of Pavement Surface in Saga Airport Highway, Japan

. This study presents the long-term measurements of traffic load induced settlement of pavement surface in Saga airport highway, Japan. In addition, the subground characteristics of the deposit were discussed in associated with their typical properties such as; high sensitivity, high compressibility, and low bearing capacity. The basic features of deposit are characterized to be soft alluvial deposit with thickness 20 - 25 m with natural water contents are much higher than their corresponding liquid limits. Permeability of the salty clay layer is approximated 3 to 5 times of the Ariake clay permeability. The settlement profiles along the Saga airport highway visualized a non uniform differential settlement. Large differential settlement occurred in between the two box culverts supported by end bearing piles. A dynamic impact is considered as one factor affecting the large observed settlement in the central part of the road section between the two box culverts. The observed total settlement was around 0.5 m after 3 years open for traffic; it was mainly accumulated due to consolidation settlement of embankment highway. It can be justified that the settlement induced by traffic loading is approximately around 20% of the total settlement

Inhibition of NLRP3 inflammasome as a therapeutic intervention in crystal-induced nephropathy

Inflammasomes are important components of innate immunity system. Dysregulation of inflammasomes activation is central to the pathogenesis of inflammatory diseases. The measurement of inflammasomes activity especially in in vivo settings should give us important information to regulate inflammatory events. Ludwig-Portugall et al. clearly visualized the intrarenal activation of inflammasome in a murine model of crystal nephropathy using a proteolytic luciferase-based reporter, and showed that the blockade of NLRP3 inflammasome may prevent renal injuries. © 2016 International Society of NephrologyEmbargo Period 12 month

Involvement of bone-marrow-derived cells in kidney fibrosis

Cellular mechanisms have been proposed in the pathogenesis of fibrotic processes in the kidney. In this setting, cell sources underlying the generation of matrix-producing cells in diseased kidneys have been categorized as activated resident stromal cells (e.g., fibroblasts, pericytes), infiltrating bone-marrow-derived cells (e.g., fibrocytes, T cells, macrophages), and cells derived from epithelial-mesenchymal transition/endothelial-mesenchymal transition. Among these cell sources, accumulating evidence has shed light on the involvement of bone-marrow-derived cells, including monocytes/macrophages, and a circulating mesenchymal progenitor cell, fibrocyte, in the progression of fibrosis in kidney. Bone-marrow-derived cells positive for CD45 or CD34, and type 1 (pro)collagen dependent on the chemokine and renin-angiotensin systems migrate into diseased kidneys and enhance synthesis matrix protein, cytokines/chemokines, and profibrotic growth factors, which may promote and escalate chronic inflammatory processes and possible interaction with resident stromal cells, thereby perpetuating kidney fibrosis. © 2010 Japanese Society of Nephrology

Fibrocytes: A new insight into kidney fibrosis

Fibrocytes are supposed to be a circulating connective tissue cell progenitor, which consists of a novel population of peripheral blood cells. This distinct population of blood-borne cells shares markers of leukocytes as well as mesenchymal cells. Accumulating evidence indicates that fibrosis is characteristic of progressive chronic kidney diseases of any etiologies, resulting in kidney failure. We have uncovered that CCR7-positive fibrocytes migrate into the kidney in response to secondary lymphoid tissue chemokine (SLC/CCL21) and contribute to kidney fibrosis induced by unilateral ureteral obstruction in mice. In addition, the blockade of CCL21/CCR7 signaling by anti-CCL21 antibodies reduced kidney fibrosis, which was confirmed by a decrease in fibrosis in CCR7-null mice with concomitant reduction in macrophage recruitment along with reduced renal transcripts of monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1/CCL2). These findings suggest that fibrocytes dependent on CCL21/CCR7 signaling pathways contribute to the pathogenesis of kidney fibrosis, thereby providing that regulating fibrocytes may provide a novel therapeutic benefit for kidney fibrosis. © 2007 International Society of Nephrology
