Adaptive Equalization Architecture Using Distributed Arithmetic for Partial Response Channels

This paper proposes a design and implementation of transversal adaptive digital filter using LMS (Least Mean Squares) adaptive algorithm.This paper proposes a design and implementation of transversal adaptive digital filter using LMS (Least Mean Squares) adaptive algorithm. The filter structure is based on Distributed Arithmetic (DA), which is able to calculate the inner product by shifting, and accumulating of partial products and storing in look-up table, also the desired adaptive digital filter will be multiplierless filter. In addition, the hardware implementation uses VHDL (Very high-speed integrated circuit Hardware Description Language) and synthesis using FLEX10K Altera FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) as target technology and uses Leonardo Spectrum and MAX+plusII program for overall development. Student activity management information system support working of student development division to know how many students join campus activities in each year. This information can increase efficiency for clubs and staffs to set up proper activities according to student requirement. Each student activities data will be printed in activities transcript report when graduate that help rising employment rate in the future. The system was developed, tested and assessed by 5 experts get a good level of satisfaction in whole process. The average result of the assessment is 3.99 and standard deviation is 0.38. In conclusion, the system accomplishes in good quality able to enhance management of student activity system effectively.Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakho
