UTILIZAÇÃO DE ESTRATÉGIAS COM AGROQUÍMICOS NO CONTROLE DE OVOS, NINFAS E ADULTOS DE Bemisia argentifolii Bellows e Perring (Hemiptera: Aleyrodidae) EM TOMATE, NO SUBMÉDIO DO VALE DO SÃO FRANCISCO
Foram testadas seis estratégias de uso de
agroquímicos no controle da mosca branca, Bemisia
argentifolii Bellows e Perring (Hemiptera:
resistente a geminivírus.
As estratégias
adultos.
USE OF AGROCHEMICALS STRATEGIES TO CONTROL EGGS, NYMPHS AND ADULTS OF Bemisia argentifolii
Bellows e Perring (Hemiptera: Aleyrodidae), ON TOMATO CROPS IN THE SAN FRANCISCO RIVER VALLEY
Abstract
Six strategies of agrochemicals use were tested in the control of whitefly, Bemisia argentifolii Bellows e Perring
(Hemiptera: Aleyrodidae), in irrigated industrial tomato, produced in Petrolina-PE and Juazeiro-BA (Brazil). The agrochemicals
were applied isolated or in tank mixture, being utilized the hybrids of indistrial tomato Heinz-2710 susceptible and Gem
Pride resistent to geminivirus. The average of whitefly eggs, nymphs and adults were used as parameters for the
evaluation of the strategy effects utilized by the producer (1), suggested by research (2, 3, 4, and 5) and recommended
by the industry (6). Nine samplings were made weekly within a period of 21 up to 77 days, right after seedlings
transplantation. The effectiveness of the strategies varied among the tomato hybrids in relation to the average of whitefly
eggs, nymphs and adults, being Gem Pride hybrids less infested. The strategies 2 and 6 were those most effective
against eggs, the 2, 3 and 4 for nymphs and 1 and 4 for adults in relation to the hybrid Heinz-2710. Regarding to Gem Pride,
the best results were obtained with the strategy 2 for eggs and nymphs, and no significant difference was verified
between the evaluations for adults. The strategies (2, 3 and 4) sugested by research have stood out to the control of
whitefly eggs, nymphs and adults infestation as compared to the others
AVALIAÇÃO DE ESTRATÉGIAS COM AGROQUÍMICOS NO CONTROLE DE Bemisia argentifolii Bellows & Perring (Hemiptera: Aleyrodidae) EM TOMATE
resistente a geminivírus, respectivamente. As estratégias
Heinz-2710 e Gem Pride.
No híbrido
No entanto, a recomendação
cultura do tomate.
AGROCHEMICALS STRATEGIES EVALUATION TO CONTROL Bemisia
argentifolii Bellows & Perring (Hemiptera: Aleyrodidae) ON TOMATO
Abstract
With the objective of offering more effect control to whitefly, Bemisia argentifolii
Belows & Perring, six strategies were carried out by using agrochemicals. One taken
from the farmer (1) four taken from the research (2, 3, 4 and 5) and one taken from the
industry (6). Tomato Heinz-2710 and Gem Pride hybrids were used, both susceptible
and geminivirus-resistant, respectively. The percentage of tomato fruits with irregular
ripening, oBrix and acidity were not affected by whiteflies infestation among the
strategies. Productivity was not also affected on Heinz-2710 hybrid, even so on Gem Pride hybrid the largest productivity (93,8 t/ha) was achieved for strategy 2, which
just differed from strategy 1. On Heinz-2710 hybrid the cost-benefit values varied from
R 1,38 (strategy 4) while on Gem Pride hybrid the variation
was between R 3,33 (strategy 2), indicating that there was
a larger financial profit on Gem Pride (strategy 2) hybrid as compared to Heinz-2710
hybrid (strategy 4). For the best strategies, the following agrochemicals were used:
strategy 2 (Imidacloprid; Acephate + adhesive spreading agent; Methamidophos +
thiamethoxam + adhesive spreading agent; Acephate + buprofezin + adhesive spreading
agent; Fenpropathrin + methamidophos + adhesive spreading agent; Acephate +
buprofezin + adhesive spreading agent; Deltamethrin + triazophos + adhesive spreading
agent; Lambdacyalothrin + pyriproxifen + adhesive spreading agent; Deltamethrin +
triazophos + adhesive spreading agent; Lambdacyalothrin + pyriproxifen + adhesive
spreading agent; neutral detergent); strategy 4 (Thiamethoxam; Acephate +
thiamethoxam + adhesive spreading agent; Acephate + buprofezin + adhesive spreading
agent; Fenpropathrin + methamidophos + adhesive spreading agent; Buprofezin +
methamidophos + adhesive spreading agent; Acephate + fenpropathrin + adhesive
spreading agent; Lambdacyalothrin + pyriproxifen + adhesive spreading agent;
Deltamethrin + triazophos + adhesive spreading agent; Lambdacyalothrin + pyriproxifen
+ adhesive spreading agent; Deltamethrin + triazophos + adhesive spreading agent;
neutral detergent). However, a recommendation of these strategies to the farmers has
been conditioned to agrochemicals registration mandatory for tomato crops
