A global approach to the refinement of manifold data

A refinement of manifold data is a computational process, which produces a denser set of discrete data from a given one. Such refinements are closely related to multiresolution representations of manifold data by pyramid transforms, and approximation of manifold-valued functions by repeated refinements schemes. Most refinement methods compute each refined element separately, independently of the computations of the other elements. Here we propose a global method which computes all the refined elements simultaneously, using geodesic averages. We analyse repeated refinements schemes based on this global approach, and derive conditions guaranteeing strong convergence.Comment: arXiv admin note: text overlap with arXiv:1407.836

The advent of the Internet changed the way buyers and sellers interact. Although access to information seems unlimited, non-expert agents find it difficult to identify the information they can confidently use. A third-party expert or a cybermediary (an intermediary in the cyberspace) can help sort out the information for the contracting partners. In this paper, we study the case of the online hotel market and the role of the cyber travel agent (CTA). Pengaruh Penggunaan Media Powerpoint terhadap Minat dan Hasil Belajar IPA Siswa Kelas IV SD Muhammadiyah Sagan

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media Powerpoint terhadap minat dan hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas IV SD Muhammadiyah Sagan. Jenis penelitian ini Quasi-exsperiment dengan desain One-Group pretest-posttest design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas IV SD Muhammadiyah Sagan pada semester pertama Tahun Ajaran 2013/2014. Variabel penelitian meliputi variabel bebas (penggunaan media Powerpoint) dan variabel terikat (minat dan hasil belajar). Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas IVA Muhammadiyah Sagan Tahun Ajaran 2013-2014. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada semester I Tahun Ajaran 2013-2014. Pengumpulan data adalah tes dan non tes. Instrumen pengumpulan data melalui angket minat belajar dan tes hasil belajar berbentuk pilihan ganda. Data penelitian ini diambil dari data hasil tes dan non tes, dan dianalisis dengan uji t berpasangan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media Powerpoint IPA terbukti berpengaruh terhadap minat dan hasil belajar. Secara parsial terbukti bahwa (1) nilai signifikansi hasil uji t pada variabel minat belajar sebesar 0,000 < α (0,05) dengan peningkatan rata-rata sebesar 13,77 atau sebesar 11,48%, (2) nilai signifikansi hasil uji t pada variabel hasil Belajar sebesar 0,000 < α (0,05) dengan peningkatan rata-rata sebesar 14,01 atau sebesar 14,01
