An indirect probe of higgsino world at the CEPC
The higgsino world is one of the popular natural SUSY scenarios, in which
. As such, searching for light
degenerate higgsinos becomes an essential task of testing naturalness in
supersymmetry (SUSY). In this work, we study the indirect effects of light
higgsinos in the process at future Higgs factories, such as
Circular Electron Positron Collider (CEPC) in China. we find that the higgsino
mass parameter GeV favored by naturalness can be covered if
the accuracy of the measurement of production can reach 0.1\% at 240
GeV CEPC.Comment: discussions and figures added, version accepted by EPJ
Tracking the l_2 Norm with Constant Update Time
The l_2 tracking problem is the task of obtaining a streaming algorithm that, given access to a stream of items a_1,a_2,a_3,... from a universe [n], outputs at each time t an estimate to the l_2 norm of the frequency vector f^{(t)}in R^n (where f^{(t)}_i is the number of occurrences of item i in the stream up to time t). The previous work [Braverman-Chestnut-Ivkin-Nelson-Wang-Woodruff, PODS 2017] gave a streaming algorithm with (the optimal) space using O(epsilon^{-2}log(1/delta)) words and O(epsilon^{-2}log(1/delta)) update time to obtain an epsilon-accurate estimate with probability at least 1-delta. We give the first algorithm that achieves update time of O(log 1/delta) which is independent of the accuracy parameter epsilon, together with the nearly optimal space using O(epsilon^{-2}log(1/delta)) words. Our algorithm is obtained using the Count Sketch of [Charilkar-Chen-Farach-Colton, ICALP 2002]
Soft-Defined Heterogeneous Vehicular Network: Architecture and Challenges
Heterogeneous Vehicular NETworks (HetVNETs) can meet various
quality-of-service (QoS) requirements for intelligent transport system (ITS)
services by integrating different access networks coherently. However, the
current network architecture for HetVNET cannot efficiently deal with the
increasing demands of rapidly changing network landscape. Thanks to the
centralization and flexibility of the cloud radio access network (Cloud-RAN),
soft-defined networking (SDN) can conveniently be applied to support the
dynamic nature of future HetVNET functions and various applications while
reducing the operating costs. In this paper, we first propose the multi-layer
Cloud RAN architecture for implementing the new network, where the multi-domain
resources can be exploited as needed for vehicle users. Then, the high-level
design of soft-defined HetVNET is presented in detail. Finally, we briefly
discuss key challenges and solutions for this new network, corroborating its
feasibility in the emerging fifth-generation (5G) era
Single top partner production in the Higgs to diphoton channel in the Littlest Higgs Model with -parity
The top partner as a hallmark of the Littlest Higgs model with -parity
(LHT model) has been extensively searched for during the Large Hadron Collider
(LHC) Run-1. With the increasing mass limits on the top partner, the single
production of the top partner will be dominant over the pair production. Under
the constraints from the Higgs data, the electroweak precision observables and
, we find that the mass of -even top partner () has to be heavier
than 730 GeV. Then, we investigate the observability of the single -even top
partner production through the process with the sequent decay
in the di-photon channel in the LHT model at the LHC. We find that
the mass of can be excluded up to 800 GeV at level at 14 TeV

Constraining Top partner and Naturalness at the LHC and TLEP
We investigate indirect constraints on the top partner within the minimal
fermionic top partner model. By performing a global fit of the latest Higgs
data, measurements and the electroweak precision
observables we find that the top partner with the mass up to 830 GeV is
excluded at level. Our bound on the top partner mass is much stronger
than the bounds obtained from the direct searches at the LHC. Under the current
constraints the fine-tuning measure is less than 9% and the branching ratio of
is bounded between 14% and 25%. We also find that precise
measurements of Higgs couplings at 240 GeV TLEP will constrain the top partner
mass in multi-TeV region.Comment: 16 pages, references and discussions adde
