Gravitational Lorentz anomaly from the overlap formula in 2-dimensions
In this letter we show that the overlap formulation of chiral gauge theories
correctly reproduces the gravitational Lorentz anomaly in 2-dimensions. This
formulation has been recently suggested as a solution to the fermion doubling
problem on the lattice. The well known response to general coordinate
transformations of the effective action of Weyl fermions coupled to gravity in
2-dimensions can also be recovered.Comment: 7 pages, late
Phase Transition Couplings in the Higgsed Monopole Model
Using a one-loop approximation for the effective potential in the Higgs model
of electrodynamics for a charged scalar field, we argue for the existence of a
triple point for the renormalized (running) values of the selfinteraction
and the "charge" g given by . Considering the
beta-function as a typical quantity we estimate that the one-loop approximation
is valid with accuracy of deviations not more than 30% in the region of the
parameters: The phase diagram given in the present paper
corresponds to the above-mentioned region of . Under the
point of view that the Higgs particle is a monopole with a magnetic charge g,
the obtained electric fine structure constant turns out to be
by the Dirac relation. This value is very close
to the which in a U(1) lattice gauge theory
corresponds to the phase transition between the "Coulomb" and confinement
phases. Such a result is very encouraging for the idea of an approximate
"universality" (regularization independence) of gauge couplings at the phase
transition point. This idea was suggested by the authors in their earlier

Teleportation Topology
We discuss the structure of teleportation. By associating matrices to the
preparation and measurement states, we show that for a unitary transformation M
there is a full teleportation procedure for obtaining M|S> from a given state
|S>. The key to this construction is a diagrammatic intepretation of matrix
multiplication that applies equally well to a topological composition of a
maximum and a minimum that underlies the structure of the teleportation. This

Constraining differential rotation of Sun-like stars from asteroseismic and starspot rotation periods
In previous work we identified six Sun-like stars observed by Kepler with
exceptionally clear asteroseismic signatures of rotation. Here, we show that
five of these stars exhibit surface variability suitable for measuring
rotation. In order to further constrain differential rotation, we compare the
rotation periods obtained from light-curve variability with those from
asteroseismology. The two rotation measurement methods are found to agree
within uncertainties, suggesting that radial differential rotation is weak, as
is the case for the Sun. Furthermore, we find significant discrepancies between
ages from asteroseismology and from three different gyrochronology relations,
implying that stellar age estimation is problematic even for Sun-like stars.Comment: Accepted for publication in A&A. 5 pages, 4 figure
Standard Model and Graviweak Unification with (Super)Renormalizable Gravity. Part I: Visible and Invisible Sectors of the Universe
We develop a self-consistent -invariant model of the unification
of gravity with weak gauge and Higgs fields in the visible and
invisible sectors of our Universe. We consider a general case of the graviweak
unification, including the higher-derivative super-renormalizable theory of
gravity, which is a unitary, asymptotically-free and perturbatively consistent

Monotonicity of quantum relative entropy revisited
Monotonicity under coarse-graining is a crucial property of the quantum
relative entropy. The aim of this paper is to investigate the condition of
equality in the monotonicity theorem and in its consequences such as the strong
sub-additivity of the von Neumann entropy, the Golden-Thompson trace inequality
and the monotonicity of the Holevo quantity.The relation to quantum Markovian
