Uma pesquisa-ação de 3 anos em uma universidade vietnamita: Alunos como cogeradores de conteúdo das aulas
In the context of the 4th Industrial Revolution with unlimited technological advancement and innovation, how can educators innovate their teaching and facilitate their students in their learning process, so that students can accumulate required skills and achieve the set learning outcomes of each course they take? In order to find out the answer, the authors have revised some literature concerning BYOD trend, active learning strategies, flipped classroom and learner-generated content as the theoretical base for their study. Action research has been conducted at a Vietnamese university with the participation of English-majored students in Theory of English Translation and Interpreting classes from 3 different intakes. The findings include students’ positive perception towards the content-generation practices. Some achievements and challenges in the teaching and learning process have also been reported. This paper also recommends further studies so that the practice could be utilized to the best outcomes. EXPLORING THE INFLUENCE OF TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP ON SALESPERSON JOB PERFORMANCE: THE MEDIATING ROLES OF SELF-EFFICACY AND CREATIVITY IN VIETNAMESE SMES
Purpose: This study investigates the influence of transformational leadership on the job performance of salespersons in Vietnamese SMEs. It examines the mediating role of self-efficacy and creativity, contributing to the literature on effective leadership strategies and their impact on salesperson performance.
Â
Theoretical Framework: Grounded in transformational leadership theory, the study proposes that transformational leadership positively affects self-efficacy and creativity, leading to improved job performance among salespersons.
Â
Design/Methodology/Approach: Data is collected through a survey questionnaire administered to salespersons in Vietnamese SMEs. The collected data was analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM) to examine the proposed relationships.
Â
Findings: The study reveals the impact of transformational leadership on salesperson job performance and highlights the mediating roles of self-efficacy and creativity.
Â
Research Implications: This research contributes to leadership and organizationnal behavior literature in Vietnamese SMEs, offering practical insights for enhancing sales force productivity.
Â
Practical & Social Implications: This study emphasizes the significance of transformational leadership in enhancing salesperson self-efficacy and creativity. It informs the development of targeted interventions and training programs, resulting in improved sales performance and overall organizational success. Additionally, the findings have broader applicability to effective leadership strategies across diverse cultural and business contexts
Comparison of sensory characteristics of green tea in Thai Nguyen and Phu Tho, Vietnam
Green tea is a popular consumption product in Vietnam. Especially, tea which origins from Tan Cuong, Thai Nguyen has been known for long by its better quality than those coming from other regions on the country. The study aims at comparing and finding out if the difference between tea in Thai Nguyen and Phu Tho can be figured by sensory tasting.
Two products picked from Tan Cuong, Thai Nguyen province and two others from Phu Ho district, Phu Tho are were evaluated by a panel of twelve judges (eleven women and one man) who was set from a group of thirty eight peoples, had completed a general training and sensory tasting on tea. The experiment on dry tea (eleven descriptors) was carried out separately of the experiment on brewed tea (twenty-one descriptors) and brewed leaf (five descriptors). All attributes are made notes on the sensory unstructured intensity scale.
Statistic analyses have shown typical differences by region among all of trees groups of attributes: dry leaf (10/11 attributes), liquor (6/21 attributes) and brewed leaf (5/5 attributes)
Microfluidic Chip for Trapping Magnetic Nanoparticles and Heating in Terms of Biological Analysis
In this study, we reported the results of the design and the fabrication a planar coil in copper (square, a = 10 mm, 15mm high, 90 turns), these planar coils were integrated in a microfluidic chip for trapping magnetic nanoparticles and local heating applications. A small thermocouple (type K, 1 mm tip size) was put directly on top of the micro-channel in poly(dimethyl-siloxane) in order to measure the temperature inside the channel during applying current. The design of planar coils was based on optimizing the results of the magnetic calculation. The most suitable value of the magnetic field generated by the coil was calculated by ANSYS® software corresponded to the different distances from the coil surface to the micro-channel bottom (magnetic field strength Hmax = 825 A/m). The magnetic filed and heating relationship was balanced in order to manipulating the trapping magnetic nanoparticles and heating process. This design of the microfluidic chip can be used to develop a complex microfluidic chip using magnetic nanoparticles
SITUATION OF THE TEACHING PHYSICAL EDUCATION FOR SEVENTH GRADERS IN THAI NGUYEN CITY FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF DIVISION IN EDUCATION
Differentiation-oriented physical education (PE) helps learners participate in learning activities with content and forms suitable to their personal characteristics. Through researching documents, interviews, and pedagogical observations, the project explores the current status of teaching physical education to 7th graders in Thai Nguyen City from the perspective of division in education. The results of this research are an important practical basis to propose measures to organize teaching physical education in a differentiated direction for 7th graders in Thai Nguyen City. Article visualizations
An Efficient Transmission Power Design for SWIPT Multi-antenna Network Integrated by an Intelligent Reflecting Surface
In this work, intelligent reflecting surface (IRS) is integrated to improve the transmission power in the simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (SWIPT) system with hybrid time-switching (TS) users. The considered scenario includes one base station (BS), one IRS, and multiple TS users, where the BS transmits the information and energy signals to the receivers with IRS assistance. The sum transmission power minimization problem is formulated under the quality-of-service constraints of data rate and energy harvesting amount at the TS users and the equal time-switching periods. The successive convex approximation and alternating optimization methods are exploited to construct efficient algorithms for finding the suboptimal precoding beamforming vectors at the BS and the phase shifts at the IRS elements. Finally, the numerical results show convergence and significant improvement in performance as compared to conventional baseline schemes
Chemical constituents from the leaves of Styrax argentifolius H.L. Li and their antioxidative activity
Searching for bioactive agents from medicinal plants, the phytochemical investigation on the EtOAc extract of the Vietnamese Styrax argentifolius leaves has resulted in the isolation and structural determination of five compounds, including one nor-neolignan egonoic acid (1), one lignan (+)-pinoresinol (2), one sterol (20R)-3β-hydroxysitgmasta-5,22-dien-7-one (3), and two triterpenoids lupeol (4), and 2α,3α,24-trihydroxy-urs-12-en-28-oic acid (5). The chemical structures of these secondary metabolites were elucidated by NMR and MS spectral data. All isolated compounds were first observed in S. argentifolius species. Sterol 3 and triterpenoid 5 were detected in genus Styrax for the first time. With the IC50 value of 19.10 µg/mL, compound 2 possessed the strong activity in DPPH radical scavenging assay
