Euler reflexion formulas for motivic multiple zeta functions

    Get PDF
We introduce a new notion of \boxast-product of two integrable series with coefficients in distinct Grothendieck rings of algebraic varieties, preserving the integrability of and commuting with the limit of rational series. In the same context, we define a motivic multiple zeta function with respect to an ordered family of regular functions, which is integrable and connects closely to Denef-Loeser's motivic zeta functions. We also show that the \boxast -product is associative in the class of motivic multiple zeta functions. Furthermore, a version of the Euler reflexion formula for motivic zeta functions is nicely formulated to deal with the \boxast -product and motivic multiple zeta functions, and it is proved for both univariate and multivariate cases by using the theory of arc spaces. As an application, taking the limit for the motivic Euler reflexion formula we recover the well-known motivic Thom-Sebastiani theorem

Zero-valent metal nanoparticles (Cu, Fe and Co) were prepared by the reactive method from their oxide with hydrogen. The energy-rich solutions of metal nanoparticles were used for treatment Maize seeds prior to sowing. The treatment significantly improved the germination rate and early growth. Furthermore, both SOD and APX enzyme activity in leaves were improved, and enhanced the metabolism of superoxide, leading to increased drought resistance. The method was applied to the field over three seasons and greatly improved the harvest. In particular, the implementation of Cu particles at 4 mg/kg increased the productivity of the two Maize species more than 20%

Determination of triacylglycerols and fatty acid composition of momordica cochinchinensis seed oil and some other plants of this genus

The oils of Momordica cochinchinensis seeds were collected in 15 regions of Vietnam and studied by reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography. Two detectors were used in the work - diode-array detector and mass spectrometric detector with mixed ionization: chemical ionization at atmospheric pressure and ionization by electrospray. It was found that triacylglycerols (TAG) of all oils contain substituents of one dominant acid - α-eleostearic acid, mole fraction of the acid between fatty acid substituents was 58.1-72.4%, thus the seeds of the plant are a valuable raw material for the production of pharmacologically important oil. It was found that the three types of seed oils of Momordica genus (M. charantia, M. cochinchinensis, and M. subangulata) belong to the same type of oil while the seed oil of another species of the genus M. balsamina is characterized by simultaneous biosynthesis of two conjugated octadecatrienoic acids: α-eleostearic and punic. To evaluate the specificity of the TAG types biosynthesis is proposed the parameter of the ration of the experimental and theoretically possible (with equal probability of occupation of different positions in glycerol moiety by acid substituents) TAG mole fractions. It was found that the main oil TAG, di-α-eleostearate-stearate) is synthesized with high specificity. © 2019 Altai State University. All rights reserved

Clinical and laboratory factors associated with neonatal sepsis mortality at a major Vietnamese children’s hospital

Sepsis is a major cause of neonatal mortality and children born in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) are at greater risk of severe neonatal infections than those in higher-income countries. Despite this disparity, there are limited contemporaneous data linking the clinical features of neonatal sepsis with outcome in LMICs. Here, we aimed to identify factors associated with mortality from neonatal sepsis in Vietnam. We conducted a prospective, observational study to describe the clinical features, laboratory characteristics, and mortality rate of neonatal sepsis at a major children’s hospital in Ho Chi Minh City. All in-patient neonates clinically diagnosed with probable or culture-confirmed sepsis meeting inclusion criteria from January 2017 to June 2018 were enrolled. We performed univariable analysis and logistic regression to identify factors independently associated with mortality. 524 neonates were recruited. Most cases were defined as late-onset neonatal sepsis and were hospital-acquired (91.4% and 73.3%, respectively). The median (IQR) duration of hospital stay was 23 (13–41) days, 344/524 (65.6%) had a positive blood culture (of which 393 non-contaminant organisms were isolated), and 69/524 (13.2%) patients died. Coagulase-negative staphylococci (232/405; 57.3%), Klebsiella spp. (28/405; 6.9%), and Escherichia coli (27/405; 6.7%) were the most isolated organisms. Sclerema (OR = 11.4), leukopenia 4 mmol/L (OR = 3.4), extremely low birth weight (OR = 3.2), and hyperglycaemia >180 mg/dL (OR = 2.6) were all significantly (p<0.05) associated with mortality. The identified risk factors can be adopted as prognostic factors for the diagnosis and treatment of neonatal sepsis and enable early risk stratification and interventions appropriate to reduce neonatal sepsis in LMIC settings

Front-end electronics and data acquisition system for imaging atmospheric Cherenkov telescopes

    No full text
International audienceIn this paper, a front-end electronics based on an application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) is presented for the future imaging atmospheric Cherenkov telescopes (IACTs). To achieve this purpose, a 16-channel ASIC chip, PARISROC 2 (Photomultiplier ARray Integrated in SiGe ReadOut Chip) is used in the analog signal processing and digitization. The digitized results are sent to the server by a user-defined User Datagram Protocol/Internet Protocol (UDP/IP) hardcore engine through Ethernet that is managed by a FPGA. A prototype electronics fulfilling the requirements of the Wide Field of View Cherenkov Telescope Array (WFCTA) of the Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory (LHAASO) project has been designed, fabricated and tested to prove the concept of the design. A detailed description of the development with the results of the test measurements are presented. By using a new input structure and a new configuration of the ASIC, the dynamic range of the circuit is extended. A highly precise-time calibrating algorithm is also proposed, verified and optimized for the mass production. The test results suggest that the proposed electronics design fulfills the general specification of the future IACTs
