    We identified 65 reef fish species belonging to 48 genera, 27 families, 15 orders, and 2 classes (Chondrichthyes and Osteichthyes) at Xuan Dai Gulf, Song Cau town, Phu Yen province. Of these, there are 30 species with high conservation value at different rankings; 26 species with recreational value and used in ornamental fish farming, scuba diving, and recreational fishing; 3 reared species and 4 species likely to be reared; 15 species probably harmful to humans by injuring with fin spines and tail fins.Đã xác định được 65 loài cá rạn san hô thuộc 48 giống, 27 họ, 15 bộ của 2 lớp (cá Sụn – Chondrichthyes và cá xương – Osteichthyes) ở vịnh Xuân Đài, thị xã Sông Cầu, tỉnh Phú Yên.     Impact of relations between employees and customers to the customers’ positive word-of-mouth in real estate industry

    The study aims to explore and measure the relationship between employees and customers impacting positively to the word-of-mouth of customers who bought house from the real estate developers in Ho Chi Minh City. The study was based on survey data from 300 customers who bought house from the real estate developers in Ho Chi Minh City and using techniques of Cronbach Alpha analysis and Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA). The study shows 4 factors of customer relationship affecting positively customers’ word-of-mouth, including: (1) Familiarity; (2) Personal connection; (3) Care; (4) Trust. From the findings, the study suggests some policy implications to the real estate developers to improve the customers’ positive word-of-mouth

    Gestational diabetes diagnosed in third trimester of pregnancy: an observation at a Hospital of Women and Children in Vietnam

    Background. Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) remains a significant concern within the medical community due to its high risk, as well as its serious side effects on both the mothers and the fetuses. This study aims to assess the prevalence and the risk factors of gestational diabetes mellitus in pregnant women at Da Nang Hospital for Women and Children.Methods. A cross-sectional study was conducted on 706 pregnant women at 2428 weeks of gestation at Da Nang hospital to determine the prevalence of gestational diabetes. Multivariate regression analysis was used to clarify the independent risk factors associated with gestational diabetes. All participants were interviewed and tested for the oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) to identify the number of gestational diabetes, which was diagnosed according to the American Diabetes Association (ADA) diagnostic criteria in 2014.Results. Gestational diabetes prevalence was 10.2%; categorized by the number of matched diagnostic criteria: 1 criterion: 7.1%; 2 criteria: 2.1%; 3 criteria: 1.0%. There are four independent risk factors for gestational diabetes determined through multivariate regression analysis: maternal age > 30 years (OR = 2.376), a history of gestational diabetes (OR = 12.211), pre-pregnancy BMI ≥ 23 kg/m2 (OR = 10.775), a history of fetal macrosomia > 3800 g (OR = 4.655). The risk of gestational diabetes in the group with risk factors was 6.21 times higher than that in the group with no risk factors.Conclusion. More attention should be paid to the risk factors for gestational diabetes, such as maternal age > 30 years, a history of gestational diabetes, pre-pregnancy BMI ≥ 23 kg/m2, a history of fetal macrosomia > 3800 g in all pregnant women

    A Large-Scale Study of a Sleep Tracking and Improving Device with Closed-loop and Personalized Real-time Acoustic Stimulation

    Various intervention therapies ranging from pharmaceutical to hi-tech tailored solutions have been available to treat difficulty in falling asleep commonly caused by insomnia in modern life. However, current techniques largely remain ill-suited, ineffective, and unreliable due to their lack of precise real-time sleep tracking, in-time feedback on the therapies, an ability to keep people asleep during the night, and a large-scale effectiveness evaluation. Here, we introduce a novel sleep aid system, called Earable, that can continuously sense multiple head-based physiological signals and simultaneously enable closed-loop auditory stimulation to entrain brain activities in time for effective sleep promotion. We develop the system in a lightweight, comfortable, and user-friendly headband with a comprehensive set of algorithms and dedicated own-designed audio stimuli. We conducted multiple protocols from 883 sleep studies on 377 subjects (241 women, 119 men) wearing either a gold-standard device (PSG), Earable, or both concurrently. We demonstrate that our system achieves (1) a strong correlation (0.89 +/- 0.03) between the physiological signals acquired by Earable and those from the gold-standard PSG, (2) an 87.8 +/- 5.3% agreement on sleep scoring using our automatic real-time sleep staging algorithm with the consensus scored by three sleep technicians, and (3) a successful non-pharmacological stimulation alternative to effectively shorten the duration of sleep falling by 24.1 +/- 0.1 minutes. These results show that the efficacy of Earable exceeds existing techniques in intentions to promote fast falling asleep, track sleep state accurately, and achieve high social acceptance for real-time closed-loop personalized neuromodulation-based home sleep care.Comment: 33 pages, 8 figure

    A robust diagnosis method for speed sensor fault based on stator currents in the RFOC induction motor drive

    A valid diagnosis method for the speed sensor failure (SSF) is an essential requirement to ensure the reliability of Fault-Tolerant Control (FTC) models in induction motor drive (IMD) systems. Most recent researches have focused on directly comparing the measured and estimated rotor speed signal to detect the speed sensor fault. However, using that such estimated value in both the fault diagnosis and the controller reconfiguration phases leads to the insufficient performance of FTC modes. In this paper, a novel diagnosis-technique based on the stator current model combined with a confusion prevention condition is proposed to detect the failure states of the speed sensor in the IMD systems. It helps the FTC mode to separate between the diagnosis and reconfiguration phases against a speed sensor fault. This proposed SSF diagnosis method can also effectively apply for IMs’ applications at the low-speed range where the speed sensor signal often suffers from noise. MATLAB/Simulink software has been used to implement the simulations in various speed ranges. The achieved results have demonstrated the capability and effectiveness of the proposed SSF method against speed sensor faults

    An Improved Current-Sensorless Method for Induction Motor Drives Applying Hysteresis Current Controller

    A novel strategy based on the feed-forward field-oriented control (FOC) method is proposed for the Hysteresis Current technique to control the induction motor (IM) drive without current sensors (CSs). A control scheme is proposed to estimate stator currents from reference rotor flux, rotor flux angle, and state variables as a replacement for the feedback-signal of CSs used in the hysteresis current controller (HCC). Here the rotor flux angle component is extracted from the feed-forward FOC loop. MATLAB/Simulink is applied to implement the simulations under many different operating conditions. The simulation results demonstrated the feasibility of the proposed method to obtain high performance in controlling the IM drives without the current sensors

    Screening of endophytes from rubber trees (hevea brasiliensis) for biological control of Corticium salmonicolor

    28 leaves and living-tissue samples of rubber tree (Hevea brasiliensis) were collected from Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Phuoc province and Binh Duong province (Viet Nam). We isolated and screened endophytes that have potential application as agents for biocontrol of Corticium salmonicolor, the agent of Pink Disease in rubber trees. As a result, 21 strains of endophytic bacteria and 14 strains of endophytic fungi were isolated. Antagonistic activity of the endophytes towards C. salmonicolor was checked by using a dual culture. Testing results showed that: T9, T15 and T16 strains have inhibited C. salmonicolor. T9 and T16 strains showed result that 100% of inhibiting C. salmonicolor at the concentration of 1:1. In the test of ability to kill C. salmonicolor, T9 and T16 strains showed that they could kill C. salmonicolor after 3 sprays of bacterial filtrate. T9 and T6 strains, which were identified by biochemical methods, have similar characteristics to Bacillus thuringiensis

    Effectiveness of perindopril/amlodipine fixed-dose combination in the treatment of hypertension: a systematic review

    Background: Uncontrolled blood pressure is a major risk factor for cardiovascular diseases. Fixed-dose combination (FDC) therapy offers a promising approach to addressing this challenge by providing a convenient single-tablet solution that enhances the effectiveness of blood pressure control. In our systematic review, we assess the effectiveness of perindopril/amlodipine FDC in managing blood pressure.Methods: We conducted a comprehensive search across four primary electronic databases, namely, PubMed, Virtual Health Library (VHL), Global Health Library (GHL), and Google Scholar, as of 8 February 2022. Additionally, we performed a manual search to find relevant articles. The quality of the selected articles was evaluated using the Study Quality Assessment Tools (SQAT) checklist from the National Institute of Health and the ROB2 tool from Cochrane.Results: Our systematic review included 17 eligible articles. The findings show that the use of perindopril/amlodipine FDC significantly lowers blood pressure and enhances the quality of blood pressure control. Compared to the comparison group, the perindopril/amlodipine combination tablet resulted in a higher rate of blood pressure response and normalization. Importantly, perindopril/amlodipine FDC contributes to improved patient adherence with minimal side effects. However, studies conducted to date have not provided assessments of the cost-effectiveness of perindopril/amlodipine FDC.Conclusion: In summary, our analysis confirms the effectiveness of perindopril/amlodipine FDC in lowering blood pressure, with combination therapy outperforming monotherapy and placebo. Although mild adverse reactions were observed in a small subset of participants, cost-effectiveness assessments for this treatment remain lacking in the literature
