To exist in highly competitive market, companies need to pay more attention in improving quality of products and services. It is necessary to maintain customers’ loyalty for sustainable future development. This research focuses on investigating the impact of service quality performance on customer satisfaction in a sample of Vietnam’s five star hotels, with a case study of Hotel X, where service quality is considered as the key to success. This study chose the SERVPERF model as a conceptual framework. Analysis of results shows that components RES-EM, ASSURANCE and RELIABLITY explain customer evaluation of perceived service quality in Hotel X. These components play important roles in service quality measurement and thus it is suggested that five star hotels generally and Hotel X in particular needs to have specific strategies to enhance these components as well as customer satisfaction

In February 2015, Catholic Relief Services (CRS) Vietnam initiated a new project to support the reintegration and rehabilitation of survivors of accidents involving landmines and explosive remnants of war (ERW). With funding from the Office of Weapons Removal and Abatement in the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Political-Military Affairs (PM/WRA), CRS’ Access and Reintegration (A&R) project takes a comprehensive approach to serving the needs of 3,219 survivors of landmines and unexploded ordnance (UXO) in Quang Binh and Quang Tri provinces. Through collaboration with the Government of Vietnam’s provincial Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (DOLISA), CRS provides survivors with access to medical care, rehabilitation, and social and livelihood support services. The key to success has been establishing an effective and functional coordination system at the local level for referrals, strengthening a network of community-based workers, and supporting families to provide appropriate, home-based care and support. CRS’ A&R project creates a network of support that ensures increased access to comprehensive services for survivors and advances their reintegration into society. The A&R Project has established a model for scaling to six affected districts in the targeted provinces and beyond

GLOBAL ECONOMIC CRISES IN THE 20TH CENTURY AND LESSONS FOR VIETNAM

The research examines the general overview of major financial crises worldwide in the 20th century to answer the question of what creates a large-scale global economic crisis and relates to the potential risks for a crisis nowadays. The study indicates the contexts, causes, happenings/impacts, and measures had been done in three crises: (i) The Great Depression of 1929-1939; (ii) The 1973 oil crisis; (iii) The 1997 Asian financial crisis. From these, lessons and experiences for Vietnam are derived from each crisis. The lessons learned from the 1929-1933 economic crisis highlight that the interconnectedness of different sectors in the economy leads to the vulnerability of the stock market to bubbles, and the need for swift government intervention. Things we learned from the 1973 oil crisis are the importance of having reserves, energy independence, a focus on renewable energy, and a coherent regional strategy. Regarding the 1997 financial and monetary crisis, the lesson drawn is that market liberalization is dangerous, and there is a need for a reliable international financial regulatory mechanism and reducing foreign debt through foreign currency. Additionally, it is necessary to allow for more flexible exchange rates

Abstract— This research evaluate the impact of business diversification of companies listed on HoSe from 2013 to 2017, the research has used balance panel data form of 145 listed enterprises. Business diversification is measured according to the Entropy index, measured by turnover in the Grade 2 subdivision and Level 4 subdivision according to Vietnam's industry standard. The results of the study showed that diversification would generally help improve financial efficiency, however, for those enterprises focusing on diversification outside the industry will reduce financial efficiency. In addition, the results of the study also showed that businesses increasing financial leverage for the purpose of expanding the left-sector business will be unstable, those businesses scaling up to strengthen the true diversification of businesses with experience will help increase their financial efficiency

The speedy economic development and rapid growth of population and urbanization in Vietnam have created great pressure on the environment by its manufacturing process and human activities. Thus, it is necessary to protect the environment through policies and appropriate technology for the sustainable development of the country. The DEcentralized WAstewater Treatment Solutions (DEWATS) dissemination in Vietnam is one of the measures contributing to address this issue

Behavior of monolithic prestressed concrete slab track at highway-railway grade crossings

    Get PDF
Highway-railway grade crossings are an important part of the transportation system. It allows two types of vehicles to operate in the same areas. Researchers have previously studied the grade crossings, but research on the monolithic prestressed concrete slab (PSCS) track at grade crossings for 1,000mm gauge is limited. At present, there are many types of grade crossing structures that are using in Vietnam. However, these structures still have many disadvantages in the operation process. A new structure type of grade crossing for PSCS is proposed to apply for the 1,000 mm gauge to overcome the main disadvantages of existing structural types. This paper presents test production and experimental measurements to analyze the behavior of PSCS. Test samples of monolithic PSCS were produced in factory. Measurement experiments were conducted in the laboratory. The results of the manufacturing and testing process presented in this paper show that this structure completely meets the criteria of stability and durability under the effect of test loads

Graphene oxide (GO) was synthesized with the improved Hummer method and chemically modified with manganese dioxide (MnO2) to obtain an MnO2/GO composite. The properties of the composite material were evaluated via infrared spectroscopy, UV-Vis spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy combined with energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, and image mapping. The parameters studied in the method of electrophoretic deposition (EPD) are pH, electrolysis potential, electrolysis time, sodium chloride concentration, and the mass of the composite. Under suitable experimental conditions, the EPD method provides a rate of colour removal and chemical oxygen demand (COD) of methylene at 99.64 and 85.85%. This result shows the potential of the EPD method coupled with MnO2/GO composite to remove organic pigments in the aqueous medium.Vật liệu graphen oxit (GO) được tổng hợp bằng phương pháp Hummer cải tiến và biến tính với mangan đioxit (MnO2) bằng phương pháp hóa học để thu được vật liệu tổ hợp MnO2/GO.
