A Participatory Universe of J. A. Wheeler as an Intentional Correlate of Embodied Subjects and an Example of Purposiveness in Physics
This paper investigates the role of human subjectivity and its delimiters in
articulating the universe in physics and cosmology. As a case study, we reflect
upon the complex of ideas of the so called Participatory Universe by later J.
A. Wheeler. The objective of the paper is to explicate the role of the human
agency as a centre of disclosure and manifestation of the universe as well the
as teleology of scientific representation of the world implied by the intrinsic

The paper, as a historical insight in the development of views about the place of humanity in the
universe, discusses the relevance of patristic thought, in particular ideas of the 7th centuryβs Byzantine
monk-theologian Maximus the Confessor for modern cosmology. It is argued that patristic ideas on
the central position of humanity in the universe and the possibility of its knowledge remain relevant
for modern cosmology which, in a way, allows one to elucidate old philosophical ideas. The modern
scientific claim on the power of humanity to articulate the universe as a whole is compared with

Cosmology and Teleology: Purposiveness in the Study of the Universe through the Reading of Kants Third Critique
This paper investigates the delimiters in cosmological research which originate in the structure of
the human knower, in particular, how the purposiveness of human actions cascades towards the
purposiveness of cosmological research. It is not dealing with a traditional teleology, which would
imply the study of the purposiveness of the universes physical evolution. It rather deals with a
formal purposiveness of cosmology related to the explicability of the universe. This explicability
is linked to the human intentional search for the sense of its own existence in the universe, so that the
purpose of explanation in cosmology is related to the explication of the human condition. It is argued,
in particular, that the theoretical representations of the universe as a whole and the Big Bang (as
the encapsulated origin of the universe) act as the telos of cosmological explanation and, hence, as
well, as the telos of anthropological explanation related to the origin of individual persons at birth. As
a historic-philosophical reference, the method of Kants Critique of Judgment is used, which is quite

The article discusses the problem of interpretation of the universe as a whole in the context of the
modern dialogue between science and religion. It is argued that the very possibility of cosmology
and theology imply each other. Thus humanity becomes the central problem of the dialogue because
of its ambivalent position in the universe as being an organic physical being on the one hand and the
articulating consciousness of the whole universe, on the other hand. On the basis of asymmetry in
relation between theology and cosmology a methodology of a theological treatment of cosmology is
suggested as being based in the irreducible primacy of the event of living with respect to any possible
representation of the universe. A phenomenological methodology of βdeconstructingβ the ideas about

The role of active forms of oxygen in the apoptosis mechanisms in case of experimental injury of the cornea and the ways of its correction
The purpose of our study was to find out the peculiarities of the corrective effect of a drug created on the basis of biological raw material - a concentrate of a deproteinized thermal layer of pig skin, on the free oxygen radicals level and apoptotic death of blood cells in an experimental mechanical non-penetrating corneal trauma.During the non-penetrating mechanical corneal injury, intensification of free radical processes (increase of AFK levels up to 14 days by 200.5%) and growth of spontaneous apoptosis (138.9% after 14 days of the experiment) were determined.The application of drops to the eyes "Efial" and eye gel "Solcoseril" to animals with mechanical injury to the cornea had a positive effect on the indicators of active forms of oxygen and spontaneous apoptosis from the 3rd day of the experiment. Correction with the concentrate of the deproteinized heat layer of the pig's skin is probably more effective with respect to the action of the reference preparation of deproteinized hemoderivate from the blood of calves, especially after 10 days of the experiment.Our data indicate that in the experimental non-penetrative mechanical trauma of the cornea, mitochondria play an important role in the implementation of cell death due to hyperproduction of active forms of oxygen, while one of the ways of initiation of apoptosis is mitochondria-mediated
On the Tate pairing associated to an isogeny between abelian varieties over pseudofinite field
In this note, we consider the Tate pairing associated to an isogeny between abelian varieties over pseudofinite field. P. Bruin [1] defined this pairing over finite field k: ker ΛΟ(k) Γ coker(Ο(k)) βΆ kβ, and proved its perfectness over finite field. We prove perfectness of the Tate pairing associated to an isogeny between abelian varieties over pseudofinite field, with help of the method, used by P. Bruin in the case of finite ground field [1]
