    Pion transition form factor in the Domain model of QCD vacuum

    Domain model of QCD allows for description of wide range of meson observables, dynamical chiral symmetry breaking, and resolution of UA(1)U_A(1) and strong CPCP problems. The purpose of the present study is transition form-factor of neutral pseudoscalar mesons, and how they are influenced by the typical vacuum configurations of the model -- almost everywhere homogeneous Abelian (anti-)self-dual fields. Asymptotic behavior of the calculated pion form-factor supports Belle trend, but the asymptotic value of Q2FπγγQ^2F_{\pi\gamma^*\gamma} differs from the prediction of factorization theorems.Comment: Talk given at The XXIII International Baldin Seminar on High Energy Physics Problems "Relativistic Nuclear Physics and Quantum Chromodynamics", September 19 to 24, 2016, Dubna (Russia); 4 pages, 3 figure

    The set of software which automates the control process of dynamical air-traffic situations generation is considered in the article. The functional scheme of its work is given. The set includes: airspace sector editor, catalogue searching tool, dynamic air-traffic situation generator and editor. The input and output data is formalized. Reducing the generation time and increasing the quantities and variety of practical tasks due to automation enable implementation of individualized learning approach. Для забезпечення індивідуального підходу до практичної підготовки авіадиспетчера необхідно досягти суттєвого зниження витрат часу на генерацію динамічної повітряної обстановки. У статті наводиться склад та функціональна схема роботи комплексу програмного забезпечення, що автоматизує процес керування генерацією динамічної повітряної обстановки для практичної підготовки авіадиспетчера. Комплекс включає редактор повітряних зон, інструмент пошуку у каталозі, генератор і редактор динамічної повітряної обстановки. Формалізовано вхідні та вихідні дані. Виділено основні фази та етапи генерації. Наводяться інтерфейси оператора, засоби візуального редагування та автоматизації. Програмне забезпечення пройшло експериментальну валідацію та було апробовано у навчальному процесі. Впровадження програмного забезпечення знизило на два порядки витрати часу на генерацію вправ, підвищило їх різноманітність, що уможливлює індивідуальний підхід до практичної підготовки

    Phases of a bilayer Fermi gas

    We investigate a two-species Fermi gas in which one species is confined in two parallel layers and interacts with the other species in the three-dimensional space by a tunable short-range interaction. Based on the controlled weak coupling analysis and the exact three-body calculation, we show that the system has a rich phase diagram in the plane of the effective scattering length and the layer separation. Resulting phases include an interlayer s-wave pairing, an intralayer p-wave pairing, a dimer Bose-Einstein condensation, and a Fermi gas of stable Efimov-like trimers.     Realisation of chiral symmetry in the domain model of QCD

    The domain model for the QCD vacuum has previously been developed and shown to exhibit confinement of quarks and strong correlation of the local chirality of quark modes and duality of the background domain-like gluon field. Quark fluctuations satisfy a chirality violating boundary conditions parametrized by a random chiral angle αj\alpha_j on the jthj-th domain. The free energy of an ensemble of NN\to\infty domains depends on {αj,j=1...N}\{\alpha_j, j=1... N\} through the logarithm of the quark determinant. Its parity odd part is given by the axial anomaly. The anomaly contribution to the free energy suppresses continuous axial U(1) degeneracy in the ground state, leaving only a residual axial Z(2) symmetry. This discrete symmetry and flavour SU(Nf)L×SU(Nf)RSU(N_f)_L\times SU(N_f)_R chiral symmetry in turn are spontaneously broken with a quark condensate arising due to the asymmetry of the spectrum of Dirac operator. In order to illustrate the splitting between the η\eta' from octet pseudoscalar mesons realised in the domain model, we estimate the masses of light pseudoscalar and vector mesons.Comment: 27 pages, uses RevTeX, 3 figures. v.2. includes additional references and comment

    Ethics of managers in Slovenian public administration

    The main purpose of this paper is to examine how managers’ personal values and managers’ attitudes towards the natural and social environment are shaping the ethics of those same managers in public administration. The findings are based on a sample of 212 managers from Slovenian public administration. Personal values were measured using the Schwartz value survey, while attitudes toward natural and social environment were measured with a validated questionnaire. Results show that managers’ self-enhancing values are positively related to their attitudes toward both natural and social environment and their ethics. Managers’ self-transcendence values were found to be negatively associated with their attitudes toward the social environment and their ethics. Managers’ attitudes toward natural and social environment are both positively related with the managers’ ethics. The mediation effect of the attitudes towards the social environment on the relationships between managers’ personal values and their ethics is positive and significant. The main cognition is that managers’ attitudes towards the social environment are a significantly stronger predictor of managers’ ethics than are managers’ personal values
