Tris(tetrabutylammonium) hexakis(tert-butanethiolato-κS)hepta-μ3-chlorido-μ3-sulfido-hexamolybdate dihydrate
The octahedral cluster core of the anion in the structure of the title compound, (C16H36N)3[Mo6(C4H9S)6(μ3-Cl)7(μ3-S)]·2H2O, has -3 site symmetry. Two μ3-Cl atoms fully occupy positions in the cluster core, while the remaining six positions are statistically occupied by Cl and S atoms in a 1:5 ratio. The fully occupied Cl-atom positions are located on sites with 3 symmetry, and the N atom of tetrabutylammonium cation is located on a site with 2 symmetry. The structure contains also two disordered solvent water molecules, one of which is located on a threefold rotation axis and the other in a general position, both with an occupancy of 0.25. The water molecules are localized in cavities formed by the tetrabutylammonium cations and the tert-butanethiolate groups. The metal clusters are stacked in a cubic close packing arrangement along [001]
Three-particle States in Nonrelativistic Four-fermion Model
On a nonrelativistic contact four-fermion model we have shown that the simple
Lambda-cut-off prescription together with definite fine-tuning of the Lambda
dependency of "bare"quantities lead to self-adjoint semi-bounded Hamiltonian in
one-, two- and three-particle sectors. The fixed self-adjoint extension and
exact solutions in two-particle sector completely define three-particle
problem. The renormalized Faddeev equations for the bound states with Fredholm
properties are obtained and analyzed.Comment: 9 pages, LaTex, no figure

Spatiotemporal imaging of valence electron motion
Electron motion on the (sub-)femtosecond time scale constitutes the fastest response in many natural phenomena such as light-induced phase transitions and chemical reactions. Whereas static electron densities in single molecules can be imaged in real space using scanning tunnelling and atomic force microscopy, probing real-time electron motion inside molecules requires ultrafast laser pulses. Here, we demonstrate an all-optical approach to imaging an ultrafast valence electron wave packet in real time with a time-resolution of a few femtoseconds. We employ a pump-probe-deflect scheme that allows us to prepare an ultrafast wave packet via strong-field ionization and directly image the resulting charge oscillations in the residual ion. This approach extends and overcomes limitations in laser-induced orbital imaging and may enable the real-time imaging of electron dynamics following photoionization such as charge migration and charge transfer processes
Peculiarities of phonon spectra and lattice heat capacity in Ir and Rh
A simple pseudopotential model is proposed, which allows the phonon spectra
and temperature dependence of the lattice heat capacity of Ir and Rh be
described with a high enough accuracy. A careful comparison of the calculated
and experimental values of the lattice heat capacity is carried out, with the
procedure of the identification of the phonon contribution to the heat capacity
and determination of the characteristics (momenta) of the phonon density of
states from the experimental values of the total heat capacity of metal at a
constant pressure being described in detail. The results of the theoretical
calculations explain, in particular, such peculiar feature of Ir and Rh,
unusual for cubic metals, as a sharp (more than by a factor of 1.5) decrease in
the effective Debye temperature with increasing termperature. The temperature
dependence of the mean square amplitude of atomic displacements in Ir and Rh
has been calculated. Basing on the band calculations the manifestation of the
Kohn singularities in the phonon spectra of Ir are discussed.Comment: 15 pages, LaTeX2e, 12 figures in postscrip
