    The Knowledge Relationship And Family Attitude with Anxiety in Caring for Family Members People with Mental Disorders in Poly Jiwa Dadi Area Specialty Hospital Province of South Sulawesi

    Mental disorders are patterns of a personā€™s behavior related to distress symptoms or impairments in one or more important functions of a human being. The objective of this study is to assess the knowledge and family attitude towards anxiety in caring for family members who have mental disorders. This study used an Analytical Survey method with a Cross-Sectional Study approach. The research instruments used are knowledge, attitude and anxiety. The data analysis used is univariate analysis, employed to produce the frequency and percentage of each variable, and Bivariate analysis to examine the research hypothesis to determine the relationship of dependent and independent variables by using Fisherā€™s Exact Test. The results of this study showed more respondents with mild anxiety of 52.5 % with a value of Ļ = 0.005 which means Ļ < Ī± = 0.05. This study showed more positive attitude respondents with mild anxiety of 55.5 % with a value of Ļ = 0.042 which means Ļ < Ī± = 0.05. It is recommended for further researchers to examine other variables that have not been studied with more samples.   Keywords: Knowledge, Attitude, Anxiety, mental disorder

    Factors Related to Napza Abuse among Adults in the Narcotics and Drug Abuse Foundation (YKPN2N) Makassar

    Background : NAPZA is substances affecting the structure or function of some parts of onesā€™ body who consumes them. Objective:This study examined factors related to NAPZA abuse among teenagers in the Narcotics and Drug Abuse Foundation (YKP2N) Makassar. Methods:The design of this research was analytic survey using cross sectional study approach. The data obtained were analyzed using the ļ¬sher test. Sample In this research, total sampling method was used. Therefore, the number of samples in this study were 30 people. Result:The result of this research revealed that there is correlation between personal factor and NAPZA abuse with the score of p=0,031ā‰¤(p,Ī± = 0,05); the correlation between family factor and NAPZA abuse scored p = 0,02ā‰¤(p,Ī± = 0,05); while the correlation between peer factor and NAPZA abuse scored p=0,031ā‰¤(p,Ī± = 0,05). Conclusion: Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a correlation between personal factor, family factor, peer factor and NAPZA abuse among adults. &nbsp

    The Relationship Between the Family's Knowledge and Hallucination Relapses of Patients

    Mental health problems have become global health issues in every country, including in Indonesia. Mental disorders include broad spectrum ones such as psychotic mental problems or schizophrenia, anxiety, depression and drug abuse (narcotics, psychotropics and addictive substances), which are all categorised as mental health issues. The aim of this research was to determine the correlation between the familyā€™s knowledge and the hallucination relapses of patients. This research involved an analytical survey with a cross-sectional approach, and it took place at the psychiatric polyclinic RSKD in the Dadi Province of South Sulawesi with 16 respondents. The results showed that the better the respondentsā€™ knowledge, the fewer the relapses (p = 0.024). Therefore, we can conclude that there is a correlation between family knowledge and the hallucination relapses of patients. It is recommended that other studies investigate other variables with larger samples. Keywords: knowledge, relapse, hallucination

    Relationship Between Coping Strategies and Levels of Anxiety Among Diabetes Mellitus Patients In Makassar

    Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease that has a negative physical and psychological impact on sufferers,. Anxiety is a reaction to illness as a threat; coping strategies are changes made by individuals in their attitudes, thoughts and feelings towards the stresses they are facing. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between coping strategies and anxiety levels of diabetes mellitus sufferers. The research method used was an Analytical Survey with a Cross-Sectional Study approach and data collected via a questionnaire consisting of 20 statements to assess the patientā€™s coping strategies and 14 statements to assess the patientā€™s anxiety level. This research was carried out at the Internal Medicine Department of the Bhayangkara Mappaoudang Hospital in Makassar. From the results of this study obtained from 42 samples, 24 respondents have adaptive coping strategies with mild anxiety (57.1%), with 10 respondents displaying moderate anxiety (23.4%). Meanwhile, 2.4% of respondents displayed a maladaptive coping strategy with mild anxiety level, and 16.7% displayed moderate anxiety with a value of Ļ = 0.004 which means Ļ <Ī± = 0.05. There is a relationship between coping strategies and anxiety levels of diabetes mellitus sufferers.     This community partnership program (PKM) is carried out on the villagers of Parang village of Bontoramba Village of South Bontonompo Subdistrict by involving Bontonompo Health Center as the person in charge of the work area that has the target of activities. In general, the purpose of this PKM progran is increased knowledge can affect attitudes followed by behavioral changes in this case is to use masks when doing activities outside the home. A special target is all villagers of Parang village, through this activity is for villagers to know the correct use of masks. The method used in achieving the goal is counseling with the question and answer lecture method (CTJ) to the target and villagers of Parang village of Bontoramba Village of South Bontonompo Subdistrict. The results of PKM activities are expected to be in accordance with the objectives and targets of the active role of participants during the activity
